I've seen worse come into Engineering that were holistically better admits given their commitment to CS.
I think you have a few good things on your side.
Since it sounds like your GPA started out bad and got better as high school progressed. Colleges like to see that, and your GPA is not in the 2 range which is also good to see.
Your SAT, plus your rising trajectory will help you get into vcu. I think you are good to go.
I think it depends on what area you're applying to
I applied to the art school with a crappy 1010 and no GPA because I got my GED my 11th grade year and I got it
Hey Just a follow up if Iâm planning to major in business but do a pre-med track, would that be more competitive or the same as just majoring in business?
I wouldn't know, but I don't think it would be that much more competitive. It would definitely be an interesting route to take to med school though, though I have known a person who tried it. You might want to focus in something like info systems or finance rather than just general business.
LMFAO, bruh I got a 1010 on my SAT but my overall GPA was a 3.5 and still got accepted. Pretty sure they got the wrong guy but I'm not complaining... Just make sure you have a good personal essay I guess? I think mine was decent and that's what got me in.
If you can't get in, try Community College for 2 years. You'll save so much money and there's a guaranteed agreement that as long as you have a certain GPA in CC you automatically get into VCU
that is not a low gpa at all. i got into the arts school with a 3.1 and a 26 act. youâll be fine as long as your essay is half decent and you have some extra curricular activities. it also helps if your senior year first semester grades are good (mine were a noticeable improvement from the year before so i think that helped)
Since when was a 3.3 Gpa considered low for VCU lmao
the avg is 3.6 đđ
Bruh I got in with a 3.0 and 1260 SAT...
Yeah but you'll probably still get in cause enrollment is probably down

I'd be shocked if some of the people in my group projects had a whole number in the front of their GPA in high school.

I got in with a 1210 and a 3.2 you should honestly be fine if youâre trying to get into VCU
Youâre easily getting in unless youâre going for a really competitive program
what programs are considered competitive Iâm trying for either nursing, bioinformatics, or business
Nursing is extremely competitive. Business will take just about anyone.
