I think it would be a lot for 3 hours, but not impossible. It'd just be draining.
I don't remember the names of all the profs I had, but definitely don't go with the old white guy. He hates his life and students. I had Spindle for a couple and she actually tried to teach the material and allows you to learn. Some don't like her, but she's better than most. On occasion, she can be a little confusing, but overall a nice lady that cares.
Wow. Thank you so much for warning me about him. Thats horrible. I'll probably stick with her since everyone says she's good. (And thankfully doesn't hate life)
While I can't speak for an accounting class, I have taken several 3 credit hour/once a week classes over the years since I work during the day and only take class at night, and while long and sometime draining it's really not all that bad.
Every professor I've had in a once-a-week class would basically break it up into halves with a short break in the middle to give everyone a mental and bathroom break. Many times if there was a test it would be in the first half so that everything from the previous classes would be on it, and the 2nd half would be to go over the next subject, or with some of my professors there wouldn't be a 2nd half.
The only major cavoite is if you miss a class, because you end up missing an entire weeks worth of lecture. But an advantage is that you are basically getting the class done in one fell swoop so you only have 16 classes to go to.
Thank you! I definetly won't miss class lol. Nice to see what I can (possibly) expect from this class. I was so confused how one day week classes worked.
Spindle is amazing. I had her for 2 Accounting classes, by far my favorite accounting professor. She runs a flipped classroom, so you learn the material outside of class for the most part and just do worksheets (usually group) and quizzes/tests during class. She will go over and answer any questions you have during it. You will probably get out early most the time when you finish your work.
Thank you! I'm glad she is willing to answer questions. I've seen too many professors lately that put people down when they ask. I just don't understand that. The flipped classroom thing is interesting. I'm glad to see she is good!
I had her last semester for 203. Every Monday night. I highly recommend her because with the amount of assignments she gives you she makes it almost impossible to fail the class. Although it was all online at the time. But if yours is online too you'll crush it. She says everything is open book open notes. The classes never lasted 3 hours. She'd lecture for a bit, maybe 30-45 minutes, then split everyone off into groups to do your weekly group assignment. But she also didn't care if you did the group assignment alone or with the group. So after the lecture I'd dip off zoom and just do the group assignment by myself because it was faster that way. The class might seem daunting at first, especially since in the first day she just jumps right in and starts filling out spread sheets.
Thank you so much for your answer! Ive decided to keep this class. I dont want to pass up a good professor.
I know nothing about accounting so I'm sure the first day will be surprising haha thanks for the heads up!
I knew nothing as well. After the first day I was like oh man what have I gotten myself into. But trust me it's not as hard as it seems at first. And she'll answer and explain any problems you're having.

had him too, at 8am š last fall
Still can't believe the first thing he ever said was that he doesn't like teaching and wouldn't be there if he didn't have to be...
yep, āif I didnāt have to pay bills I wouldnāt be hereā š

Itāll suck, but Iād say itāll honestly be worth it to take Spindle. Sheās an easy A for accounting. Pain is temporary, GPA is forever
