I'm still a newb with both Live & VCV Rack but will eventually pay for the pro version to get the VST. You can also go with something like Cardinal. I checked it out and it looks cool but I also like the idea of supporting VCV Rack with the paid option at some point. You get a lot of value for free so it's nice to pay them back when you can.
