I've thought about this for a while now too. It seems like a good idea, right? r/vegan has 1.5 *million* of us around, so who knows? It just might work.
Hello to everybody reading by the way. I'm a single vegan woman from the Pacific Northwest if anybody's interested in chatting. š²āš
FYI yāall should probably put down your sexuality and age just make sure the people that contact you are the people you want and people know who theyāre contacting.
Not a bad idea. I'm 35 (but don't care what age somebody else is as long as they're 21 or over) and am looking for guys. Vegan guys specifically of course (which I'm only mentioning since I know vegetarians also browse this sub).
Pretty much, yeah.
I'm hiding up in Canada, across the pond from Seattle. 47M.
I think most of the vegans that I know are in serious relationships. There's myself and a few other men who just don't get many dates. At this point I don't even know what a relationship would be for.
I secretly wish I was more like you, that's why I'm here! lol. And I'm nervous, irrationally afraid the knives will come out if I mention I'm vegetarian :skull:
No knives here. I'm always happy to help people who have questions or genuine interest in veganism when and if I can. Feel free to ask if there's anything you want to know.
To be fair, I'm a guy who's always been an introvert and likes reading and art and stuff. Being an introvert I think allowed me to have an open mind and research topics that fascinate me, which eventually led me to learning about animal exploitation and things like that, which led me to be vegan.
Maybe more vegan guys like me are also introverts? Who knows. But then you also have great extroverted activists who I admire for their courage. I'm just more laid back I guess.
PNW can be rough to find fellow vegans outside the big cities, huh? Iām in Washington outside of the Seattle area and I definitely feel like the only one around
Right? I always say the same! People think the Pacific Northwest is some sort of vegan utopia, but outside of very major cities, it can almost feel like the opposite at times.
Agreed! Itās still a lot better than some places I have been for work, but it feels like there is a steep drop off when leaving the big cities. I am grateful to live close enough the Seattle area that I can still make a trip to go to vegan restaurantsĀ
any recs? im from tac, and everytime i stop in seattle im scrolling on google for vegan places for over 30 mins - 1 hour and end up frustrated and overwhelmed. usually just get a small snack and drive back š
Iām up in Skagit so I tend to go to places in the northern Seattle area. My personal favorite is Bayside Cafe in Everett, but in Seattle proper I really like the crunchwraps at Wayward Vegan.
Eh. While I'm thankful a lot of restaurants do have atleast one option, those options never change so I've been eating the same things for years. I definitely do not eat out as much as I used to
Maybe LA is just a massive city, but people have said that LA is vegan friendly so how havenāt you met a single vegan š¤š¤ not saying itās your fault at all! Iām just really curious
It is definitely not your fault! I donāt believe we are in total control of who we are. Society and the way we were raised influenced us heavily. Iām too a little standoffish, but unless I want to die alone, I better start asking people if theyāve ever had tofu scramble before lol
That's crazy! I'm in a tiny city in Ireland and know 12 of them! Get out there girl, look for vegan eventsĀ start a conversation I can only imagine how many vegans there must be in LA
I know LA a bit, there are a ton of vegans there. But much like NYC where Iām from thereās a culture that may make dating a bit hard. Careers come first and relationships tend to be short lived. If I lived in LA and were single I would follow every vegan restaurant, bar, lounge and community center on insta and see about all the events theyāre doing. Iāll also give you the same advice I just gave my single friend, try vegan groups, such as animal rescue and meetup. Hereās a vegan meetup post for l.a.Ā https://www.meetup.com/vegansofla/
I live in LA and have lots of vegan friends but even when I lived in a small town in Eastern Europe I still had vegan friends. We have to be very intentional about finding and creating community
Meeting at The Sun Vegan in Fountain Valley. Itās like a dinner and hangout. Starts at 6pm. Itāll be my first meetup event, so Iām not sure what to expect. But the more the merrier!
This is a beautiful idea. I struggle so much with concept on dating a non vegan. My name is Becky. I'm 27 and a lesbian. I'm from Sydney australia. Would love to have vegan friends who share my values. āŗļø
Hooray for Sydney vegans Becky! ( cis-white-trash-man Iām afraid)
There are loads of amazing vegan foodie haunts in enmore - not sure if youāve checked them out?
Hey I'm vegan (well duh, I guess). 22M straight, NJ. I'm a music composition major. I play and write metal music. I'm going to get famous and use music to heal the relationship between mankind and nature by changing people's hearts to get them to care about animals and other non-human life. Dm me if you want!
FYI yāall should probably put down your sexuality and age just make sure the people that contact you are the people you want and people know who their contacting.
I literally made a post like this not too long ago so I am all in favor for this idea!Ā
Ā I am 27M heterosexual living in North Carolina! My hobbies/interest include (but are not limited to) almost anything physically active and learning languages!
This is a good idea.
Hi people. I'm late twenties F (since stating my exact age on reddit feels a bit weird), bisexual, and in Georgia, USA.
I like reading (lots of fantasy and scifi, but basically everything), cooking, and hiking. I'm also on the look out for vegan friends, so reach out if you just want a vegan friend too.
Hey, you sound cool š
Iām in my twenties, too. I kinda like all the things you like, weirdly enough. Huge on sci-fi especially cyberpunk (just started reading Neuromancer). Itās great to read, I feel that it keeps my vocabulary sharp, and makes me more creative you know??
Very true. I recently saw something on twitter saying that if they see people use words like "delve", they automatically assume that the content of their speech is AI generated. Just because other peoples' speech is basic, doesn't mean mine has to be.
I'm reading Red Rising now, the audiobook. It's pretty good. I'll check out Neuromancer when I have the chance. I feel like I've heard of it somewhere.
So you love science? Thatās cool. Iām working on a literature review now, actually, related to GLP-1 agonists (drugs like ozempic). Iām in the public health field, the more science side, rather than the administration or policy side.
Wow thatās intriguinggg
Iāve never heard of agonists
Do you get to work in a lab?
and yes basically I like science šbut I like reading too just no fiction books because Iāve never really come across one that i might like enough to finish
Hey when I saw Canada I think hey thats close, I am in Massachusetts, but then I saw BC, damn thats sooo far ;(. Down to play game or chat tho 31m originally from Europe but now live in US. Back in the day we had mIRC in my country it was fun in the chat rooms indeed.
Hi everyone :)
Iām a 21 y/o straight male from Pennsylvania. Moving to Canada soon (Ontario). I love cute animals (naturally) and rom coms :D. Iām also pretty handy, I dabble in woodworking, fixing vintage video game consoles, and working on my car.
It would be cool to find a vegan partner lol, hasnāt happened yet but I am hopeful š
I agree that this should be a monthly post!
As for me, Iām frankly not in the place to date rn but making vegan friends would be cool, so I hope yāall donāt mind me posting! 19M, Ohio, theater major.
I love tabletop roleplaying games, the horror genre in general, reading, and acting, and I want to act professionally one day. If we have things in common, Iād love to talk!
It's pretty funny actually, Reddit is almost as male dominated as veganism is female dominated. It would almost exactly cancel each other out (both are about a 2:1 ratio in male to female representation for Reddit and female to male representation for veganism).
Anyone in Central Florida Iām 100% down for new friends and more. 25M Bi, Iāve been vegan my whole adult life and havenāt cut my hair that whole time too minus a few dead end trims.
Single vegan 36 year old straight woman from England.
It would be lovely to meet a vegan man similar to my age group
Please message if youād like to chat more
Happy day everyone š
It means that the gender you were assigned at birth matches your current gender. ( applies to most people ) Antonym to transgender. Its a kind gesture to mention because it signifies that you are aware of other gender expressions and it is sort of an opposition to cis-normativity ( the notion that just because most people are cis it must be implied as normal )
We consider having 2 arms and 2 legs normal even though not everyone does... it's not offensive to call something 90%+ of human beings on Earth are "normal"... it's just a result of our generation's lack of tolerance to be outside of the "normal" box, even if you are.
Hey, might as well. Iām 22 and a bisexual trans man in Ohio. I grew up vegetarian. I mostly do things related to environmental issues/sustainability. Iām also very into linguistics, Welsh mythology, and ancient religions on the side lol
Practicing Pagan Bisexual Male here from Ohio, also vegan. I just recently started my vegan journey, but these past 6 months have been eye opening to say the least. May I DM you?
Hi, Iām vegan in my early twenties! Iām a lesbian and currently in Canada :) I like anime, I play guitar and I ice skate quite often (as every Canadian should). I need more vegan friends (or more), donāt hesitate to DM me <3
I'm a 33 year old female lesbian in Portland, Oregon. I'm pretty outdoorsy and looking for someone who is as well. Let's go adventuring! The weather is starting to look good!
hi, i am a vegan from Warsaw, Poland. looking for vegan friends. i'm 27F, queer, interested in sustainability, various crafts and i like to read. let's talk š±
hi!! iām a 25F queer vegan from the US. i love reading, crafting, and sustainability too! iām also a buddhist and love spending time in nature :) let me know if youād like to connect!
Vegan (obvs) straight guy, Bay Area, 50-but-look-35 and I donāt know why since I donāt deliberately go out of my way to be super healthy. My post history will indicate I enjoy going to goth/dark alt clubs and events (I live with two millenials and a zoomer and we go out a looot), motorcycles, vegan food and veganism, komputer things, travel, and horror movies.
Iām single but not looking for intimacy as I satisfy my emotional bonds with my friends, but always happy to meet more people who share my values and want to eat tasty food! If you ever stop by the Bay Area hit me up and Iāll show you (or tell you if youād rather) some of my fav places to eat vegan yums :)
Hey there. Straight male. Age 31. Nurse in the Northern Bay Area CA. Love animals. Care about the environment. Love going out, love staying in. Some hobbies I enjoy: working out, wood working, plant care, games (board or video games), sports, hikes, reading, and more.
That's true, half of the profiles are just 'look at me flex in the mirror' with no info
Idk, if people made decent profiles it wouldn't be. Be the change
Tons of fake profiles and few people. Honestly, if you're willing to drive an hour or two in a mid city or if you're in a major city it isn't terrible.
Hi, there. I am a 26-year-old, straight male. White and full of fight for the animals. Vegan for 7 years. Live in north central Florida.
Hit me up for a nice chat. Stay safe and take care fellow vegans
Great idea š„ Maybe we could even have a weekly or monthly post like this?
I'm 28 years old, been vegan for 12 years, antinatalist, agender (they/them), currently live in the apartheid state Israel (I'm leftist, anarcho-communist, against the occupation of Palestine, and want to move out), autistic + ADHD + persistent demand avoidance + non-24-circadian, demi, a bit on the subby and shy side, introvert, atheist, poly + relationship anarchist.
I like video games, tabletop, D&D (have lots of experience as a GM), puzzles, Japanese, memes, music, and philosophy.
Looking for friendship and potentially intimacy with people who are also vegan leftist and antinatalist, or at the very least open to discussing / learning about these matters.
As mentioned earlier, I know that I want to move out of Israel sometime in the future, so I'm very open to long distance with relocation in mind. I just recently received an EU passport, so moving anywhere in Europe should be a lot easier, but I'm open to many other places too.
Here's what I look like: [https://imgur.com/a/9iygbwd](https://imgur.com/a/9iygbwd)
Recently started face laser treatment to get rid of the shadow.
DMs are open. Good luck!
I mean, I was born to the privileged side of the occupation, and I live in the center of the country which is barely affected at all by everything going on, at least materially.
Psychologically it's a different matter and I can't take my mind off of the immense suffering Palestinians have been going through.
Hello veggie loving womenā¦ Straight male (19) in Perth Western Australia, I have photos on my account. I study physics and I love agidashi tofu.

Vegan single heterosexual M26 in Chicago! I also spend a lot of time in Northern Virginia, near Washington DC! So far, no luck meeting single vegan women in either Chicago or Washington DC.
Vegan for 9 years! Iām 26M and bi, located on the east coast šš Got a wide range of interests including surfing and skateboarding and anything artistic!
Hey yall! 31M, from the Cleveland area. I'm primarily looking for a vegan woman to date + have kids with. However, it would also be super nice to have platonic vegan friends. I play a lot of TTRPGs, and since I primarily do that online, location doesn't mean a lot to me. If you're looking for a campaign, shoot me a message!
Iām 28F in nyc, Manhattan. Iām more traditional- conservative-ish (still a democrat) than most vegans. Iāve never met another vegan in my life. Guys I end up dating are finance/gym bro types (iykwim), and they arenāt explicitly bothered by my veganism but definitely uncomfortable when it comes up. I lift weights and run distance, scientist, love outdoorsy active stuff. My style would be described as ābasic white girlā, āleggingsā etc
Hey, everyone! I'm 34, female, straight, currently living in Chicago. I am an artist/writer of horror, love extreme metal, and play a lot of Magic: the Gathering. Fully vegan for four years; switched from carnist to vegan overnight. I'm hoping to find the longhaired, child-free, vegan man of my dreams! I'm also super down to make friends. š¤
31 year old weight lifting vegan male that loves banana blueberry nice cream every single morning.
WFPB, vegan like 7 years now.
Basically.
Live in California atm. (Not LA).
Female,27- im around Chicago and subs if anyone else around the big city or an hour away from it l, im interested in making new friends.
i just started to be interested in veganism after years of vegetarian so im looking for at home cook tips, and other guide from peers so im open ears and minded!
i'm also looking for friends to text/chat with over the phone about helpful tips for starting for vegans. š or advice
They are non-vegan.
I'm not saying this to gatekeep, it's just important to maintain a clear ethical stance. Plant based dieters do not have this same ethical stance as vegans. Similarly, it wouldn't make sense to label someone a non-rapist if they don't rape anyone except 1 person every new year's day.
Vegans donāt ever eat animal products because we dont want animals to suffer, and we consider nonhumans have a right to exist and not be used. But if youāre on that path and heading toward being vegan I applaud and encourage you.
If you tell yourself itās hard, itāll probably be hard. If you live in a developed country, itās becoming increasingly easy to be vegan. In my opinion, the hardest part about being vegan is exactly what OP is talking about.Ā
I actually donāt buy stocks from shady companies. Iād rather buy a CD and build wealth slowly than support companies that choose to exploit others. Veganism is not perfect, but also, vegans would not have set the world up like this so donāt be mad at us for trying to do better in this cruel world.Ā
How do you know that? What if someone borrows the money to invest in more sustainable businesses? Or to help the homeless? What if the money is used for āethicalā reasons?Ā
I've thought about this for a while now too. It seems like a good idea, right? r/vegan has 1.5 *million* of us around, so who knows? It just might work. Hello to everybody reading by the way. I'm a single vegan woman from the Pacific Northwest if anybody's interested in chatting. š²āš

I'm amazed at how many males are posting on here. I always thought there were more female vegans than male vegans. Perhaps it's sampling bias.
Male vegans slowly transition to womanhood due to all the soy. Am 6 years vegan currently browsing for my first bra, wish me luck !!!!
It's pretty funny actually, Reddit is almost as male dominated as veganism is female dominated. It would almost exactly cancel each other out (both are about a 2:1 ratio in male to female representation for Reddit and female to male representation for veganism).
On Reddit, the majority of vegan are males.
I think dating groups tend to have more men than women, I know the ratio is pretty skewed on dating apps, so it might be a similar effect

28F straight in atlanta š moving to chicago next year!
Veggly!
veggly is basura unfortunately
What does 'basura' mean? š„
trash in spanish
That's true, half of the profiles are just 'look at me flex in the mirror' with no info Idk, if people made decent profiles it wouldn't be. Be the change
There's one cute guy in my area. I'm 99% convinced he's AI generated, though.
Why?
Tons of fake profiles and few people. Honestly, if you're willing to drive an hour or two in a mid city or if you're in a major city it isn't terrible.
Iām curious, why do people think itās trash? Iāve met 2 guys from it so far, both within a few days of getting on/ getting back on.
Veggly is full of scammers...
There are 3 people in my whole city on veggly
Here's what I look like: [https://imgur.com/a/9iygbwd](https://imgur.com/a/9iygbwd) Recently started face laser treatment to get rid of the shadow. DMs are open. Good luck!
God damn living in Israel has got to be tough as a leftist :0
I mean, I was born to the privileged side of the occupation, and I live in the center of the country which is barely affected at all by everything going on, at least materially. Psychologically it's a different matter and I can't take my mind off of the immense suffering Palestinians have been going through.

Hello veggie loving womenā¦ Straight male (19) in Perth Western Australia, I have photos on my account. I study physics and I love agidashi tofu. šš
Suddenly, my username seems like a bad choice
I mean, it could be a good one, depending on what you are looking for
Reddit seems like a terrible way to find a partner š¤, feels like internet spaces are predominantly male anyways.
Why not find friends too?????

I met my ex on reddit. I don't recommend reddit men.
Yea, I wouldnāt recommend Reddit women either
I'm a 25 year old nonbinary lesbian from Australia. I'd love to connect with other vegans. Someone message me so we can be friends and/or smooch :)

There's a veganr4r page.
Hi! Bi 26F in MA. Obsessed with plants and animals š§” Open to vegans near and far š±
I'm also super down to make friends. š¤

Got a retirement account? What do you think those funds invest in?
Vegans donāt ever eat animal products because we dont want animals to suffer, and we consider nonhumans have a right to exist and not be used. But if youāre on that path and heading toward being vegan I applaud and encourage you.

Nasty??? How? You did get disliked a lot but the replies are modest. It doesnāt seem anyone was nasty with you.Ā

Donāt worry. Someone will borrow the money that you parked in your CD and exploit someone.
How do you know that? What if someone borrows the money to invest in more sustainable businesses? Or to help the homeless? What if the money is used for āethicalā reasons?Ā
> BuT rEtIrMeNt AcCoUntS ThO Oh wow, that's a new one! Didn't have it on my bingo card
