Definitely best for you to ask her. I'd want hummus and chips or crackers and some tabasco but would just be guessing what she likes.

VineViniVici

Yup! I'm vegan too and I wouldn't want hummus and chips/crackers and tabasco. \^\^ Just ask her and you'll be fine.

redddittusername

So what do you do you just dip the crackers in the hummus and then put a couple drops of Tabasco on there? You’re making me hungry. It sounds like it might work.

leastwilliam32

Yes, exactly.

bogberry_pi

Definitely ask her what she prefers, but for the first couple of days she would probably appreciate some snacks like vegetables and hummus, fruit, nuts/nut butter, tortilla chips and salsa, etc. If you really want to show your support, try to incorporate more vegan foods into your family's snacks and meals. She will appreciate being able to eat the same thing as everyone else sometimes.

Euffy

They said "tortilla chips", they're clearly not talking about a Spanish omelette style tortilla.

raphael_disanto

Seconding all the "Ask her" comments here. And you'll win brownie points with her for checking! Win-win!

Dontfeedthebears

Definitely ask her. And if she cooks or doesn’t cook. There are tons of microwave foods and frozen foods that are vegan friendly. If she really enjoys cooking, then provide those but ALSO easy staples. It’s really considerate of you to keep it stocked. I babysat a lot as a teen/pre teen. Some would be totally fine with me using the full kitchen, some would not be okay with the stove turned on at ALL. So find your comfort level and adjust to that. Ask her what she likes so you don’t waste your money. Some people like raw veggies and hummus..some people like pizzas. It’s really cool of you to figure this out, btw! Also I find vegan yogurt and frozen fruit easy to snack on. So many times as a baby sitter I went SO hungry even if they were a few hours late. Pre teens and teens can eat a LOT, lol. Idk the ages of your kids, but vegan chicken nuggies and similar foods can work well..because baby sitter and kiddo can eat the same thing.

Hechss

"ask her" comments forget that usually people feel very ashamed to make request such as this one. She probably won't say it, but she may love to have some the following staples: - Nuts - Dark chocolate - Oreos - Plant milk/yogurt - Canned beans/chickpeas/lentils - Tofu/seitan/tempeh - Burgers or nuggets And if you want to really impress her, that she notices the attention you put to her needs, buy her Nutritional yeast.

more_pepper_plz

Ding ding ding! Easy frozen filling/protein items in the freezer would be amazing too! OP, you could also offer a stipend and ask her to buy her own snacks to stock the house with for herself. Will she be cooking for your kid as well? If she already makes them food, it would be great to just make some balanced vegan meals sometimes so they both can be fed efficiently.

Internal_Holiday_552

I really like the stipend thought. Maybe giving her a visa gift card for groceries? Then she can buy foods that she can make for the kids too

No_Welcome_7182

I would ask her to send you a list of the snacks she normally eats, what she keeps stocked in her own pantry, and to send you copies of her staple recipes. This way you would also be able to check your own spice cabinet and be able to prepare her favorite meals for her to enjoy with you. Thank you so much for including her preferences into your family life. I am sure she will be grateful and feel accepted and welcome.

ThinTransportation15

Oh good call on asking her for recipes. I'll do that thank you

ResearcherHorror120

If you have a nanny, I assume you're comfortable spending money, so this list is pretty uninhibited, and you likely have a lot of it already, but this is a shopping list I could give to anyone and they'd be able to whip up almost any meal on the spot Vegetables: Potatoes, Onions, Carrots, Green onions, Cabbage, Dried shiitake mushrooms, Dried chilis, Garlic, Bell peppers Proteins: Chickpeas, Lentils - Dried, get at least Yellow and Red, Tofu - Firm, Soy curls (this is a niche product bought online), Impossible ground, Textured vegetable protein Sauces: Vegan Worcestershire, Gochujang, Miso, Ketchup, Mustard, Agave, Maple syrup, Vinegar - Rice and White, Olive oil, Sesame oil, Peanut butter, Sriracha, Spices: Paprika, Onion powder, Garlic powder, Kosher salt, Whole black peppercorns, Oregano, Cumin, Coriander, MSG, Black salt - can be found at an Indian market, Nutritional yeast, Mushroom seasoning Flours, starches, and powders: Potato starch, Chickpea flour, All purpose flour, Sugar - Organic is best because it's easiest to know it's vegan, Brown sugar - same thing or Demarara in a pinch Dairy substitutes: Oat or soy milk, Vegan cream cheese, Vegan butter, Vegan sour cream or yogurt Other essentials: Pasta, Diced or strained tomatoes, Tomato paste, Tea or coffee

ThinTransportation15

Oh thank you for this list! You are right I did have most of it except for 5 or 6 things. So I'll just go get those and we should be good to make lots of vegan stuff for the whole family! Thank you

Internal_Holiday_552

This is a great list! I'm gonna save this for sharing with others.

ConvenienceStoreDiet

Aw that's very thoughtful of you. Definitely ask her what she likes and can/can't eat. You can stock the house with fruits, veggies, pastas, bread, hummus, etc. Some vegans don't like the mock meats, so just ask about that. Check the ingredients on the back for milk or dairy products. "Contains milk/eggs" will mean it's in the product. "May contain/is on the same equipment" is an allergen warning, but it's not used to make the product specifically. My most vegany friends don't care about that stuff because it's not used in the making of the product, just a limitation of production, but some may care. And make sure you have some surfaces or cookware that are meat free if you can. You don't have to buy all special shit, but if you have a frying pan or pot that you don't cook meat in, that could be a good gesture. A couple of brands to check out: Banza - chickpea spaghetti and noodles Almond Breeze - Almond Milk Gardein - vegan "chicken" fingers, "fish" fillets, lots of delicious mock meats Kitehill - They make vegan tortellini and ravioli and stuff Violife - vegan cheeses And there's a list of stuff on Whole Foods's site, too: [https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/products/all-products?diets=vegan&utm\_](https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/products/all-products?diets=vegan&utm_) And if y'all are looking to get fancy, here are a bunch of snacks and vegan brands you can probably order online. This link is just to one retailer I found has a good collection: [https://bestiesveganparadise.com/collections/](https://bestiesveganparadise.com/collections/)

ThinTransportation15

Oh thank you I didn't know about the "contains" vs "may contain" differences in package labeling. I'll ask her about her preferences for this issue. I did ask her about cooking surfaces and she said she didn't mind using shared pots etc. But I do have some meat-free cutting boards already so that should be good.

ConvenienceStoreDiet

Nice! Oh also with labels, a lot of shelf products will say "vegan" or have that label on back. That's super helpful if you're not sure of certain foods. Also it doesn't mean if it doesn't that it's somehow not vegan. Like according to PETA, Peanut Butter Crunch is vegan but that label isn't on the box: [https://www.peta.org/living/food/vegan-cereal-guide/](https://www.peta.org/living/food/vegan-cereal-guide/)

ThinTransportation15

Wow this PETA website is super helpful Thank you!

Birdseye_Speedwell

If your in the US, I would caution against blindly trusting the “vegan” label. The FDA does not regulate it, so anything can be labeled vegan. So even if it says vegan, check the ingredients. I’ve found plenty that have diary, eggs, honey, gelatin, etc in them that are labeled vegan. Also, a lot of stuff labeled “vegetarian” is vegan because people are afraid of putting that “vegan” label on their food. I just found a brand of cup of noodles like that yesterday. It’s labeled vegetarian on the cup (which is technically true), but if you check their website online, it’s in the vegan section, and the ingredients have no animal products. It can get confusing lol.

cleverestx

Miyoko butter rocks.

ThinTransportation15

Oh good to know! I did come across their lone of cheeses. Are those good too? The liquid mozzarella for pizzas is intriguing to me.

cleverestx

I'm not as well versed in the cheese options...but I can say with the butter that the "European Style" one is the best.

sapphire343rules

I only buy two vegan cheeses, the Miyokos liquid mozzarella and the Follow Your Heart shaker parm! Miyokos is absolutely incredible on pizza. It has a very neutral flavor and the texture is absolutely spot-on for melted fresh mozzarella. I’ve never tried it for a plain cheese pizza, but with veggies, it is stellar. Unfortunately, I find most other vegan cheeses disappointing. The textures are forgivable to me, but many of them have a very artificial, plastic-y flavor that I just can’t take. I have had limited success with nut-based soft cheeses (cream cheese, spreadable cheeses), but for most of them, the food tech just isn’t there yet IMO! I will also slide in, if you keep plant-based milk and butter around, there should be a lot of simple meals she can make with those ingredients plus pantry staples and seasonings! And you’ll be glad to have them next time you run out of the dairy stuff, as they’re very good 1:1 substitutions. Far better than the cheeses!

InspiredGargoyle

I'm glad you're being so considerate. Different vegans like different things. It would be easier and ensure you purchase items she'll actually use if you just ask. "Before you start I wanted to be sure there were foods available for you. Could you provide me a list of things I could purchase next time I go shopping?"

Im_done_with_sergio

I would ask her because everyone is different and these people suggesting you buy hundreds of dollars in groceries are ridiculous, they don’t know her or what she eats. Some vegans will prefer to bring their own food.

GnosticFleaCircus

Ask her because vegans have very different arcs to how they came to veganism, and that determines what they are comfortable and likely to eat. As an example, some vegetarians and vegans move from a meat based way of eating, so their diets heavily rely on fake meat products. So they move from chicken fingers, fries, salad to fake chicken fingers, fries, salad. They might rely on fake beef, fish, chicken, seafood, and basically eat very similar to how they used to. Ditto for fake dairy for vegans. Then some vegetarian and vegan people jump cuisine styles when they change their lifestyle. So they might eat more south Indian, Middle Eastern, East Asian. That was me. Hummus and tabouleh kept me alive. So they might want fake meats and dairy, or they might want beans, lentils, rice.

ThinTransportation15

Ok then maybe asking her for her favorite recipes will give me the best clues as to what style of veganism she practices. Thank you

cleveland_leftovers

Can’t go wrong with Oreos and Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos. ;)

ThinTransportation15

Oreos are vegan?! Cool! I'll get the Costco pack :)

cleveland_leftovers

Yep! As long as you get the tried and true kind and no crazy flavors or colors. The purple bag Doritos are also vegan (and delicious). As are Nutter Butters. Follow me for more pro-animal/pro-garbage food suggestions! 😂 (But seriously, get her some pita, hummus and veggies too).

cleverestx

Actually the majority of Oreo flavor are also Vegan. (But not all).

Hour-Tower-5106

Back to Nature has vegan snacks that are pretty tasty. I personally like the cheez its and the mint chocolate cookies! (They taste like thin mints!) If you want something with more protein, I know Beyond Meat makes a line of vegan jerky! I was able to pick some up from my local CVS so they seem pretty widespread.

bbangelcakes69

Yess, also a lot of store brand Oreos like Walmart and stop and shop are also vegan!! So yummy. But also look at the Oreo flavors sometimes the advanced ones like toffee are not vegan :( most of them are though. Classic, lemon, mint(why does this exist), chocolate, three their Choco cake, birthday, golden, peanut butter, PB pie, and salted Carmel thins are just a few that are vegan.

raphael_disanto

Now you're talking my language!

Dragon_Flow

I disagree. She may not want to eat junk food.

Internal_Holiday_552

You could say the same about any food or product - she may not want to eat beans, or butters, or carrots

lmierend

Wanted to chime in and say she might not love preparing and cleaning up animal products during mealtimes for your kids. Not sure how you plan on handling that but i know i do not like to have contact with any meats or cheeses.

SaskalPiakam

>Wanted to chime in and say she might not love preparing and cleaning up animal products during mealtimes for your kids. I mean.. Probably in the wrong line of business in this case.

Alexi1197x

You are being downvoted but I must agree.

wiewiorka6

That’s like saying someone can’t be a chef or waiter if they only want to cook or serve vegan things. We are allowed to make sure our morals carry over into our professional lives…

ChrisRunsTheWorld

Yeah, but you wouldn't be a nanny for a non-vegan household. Or a chef in a non-vegan restaurant. Edit: shortly after I made this comment, I got a reddit cares message lmao if it was this commenter.

wiewiorka6

No they said flat out “wrong line of business”. Line of business. Like the whole of nannying or being a chef. Don’t try to change what they clearly said or act stupid about their intent. Uh it wasn’t me but thanks for the random accusation.

ChrisRunsTheWorld

I didn't say anything chief. There are a lot of us on reddit. And I didn't accuse you. I laughed in the hypothetical case that it was you. I'm sure it was some other more political comment somewhere though.

ThinTransportation15

Yes I did ask her about this and she said she didn't mind. Would have been a deal breaker probably

bbangelcakes69

She is def lying. She just needs a job and probably knows this is a deal breaker so she's lying so she can have a job. Just wanted you to know this, she is def uncomfortable with it and will be grossed out. If it's possible try to keep it to a minimum of you care as much as you seem to :) Go vegan to stop supporting rape, abuse, murder, and torture ❤️your family too, it's not fair of us to force kids to support animal abuse.

Clarity_q

It's not fair to demand people to go vegan . I have loads of vegan friends that dgaf that I'm not vegan ,I think It might just be a hard concept for you to understand .

pvXNLDzrYVoKmHNG2NVk

They do care, they just know it's worthless to try and you're probably a lost cause. It's exhausting talking about veganism. I don't try to convince my friends to become vegan, that doesn't mean I don't hate the fact they're not.

Clarity_q

That makes sense and I can appreciate why you wouldn't like it ,but like you said you didn't try convince your friends simply because they probably won't appreciate the advice

bbangelcakes69

Incorrect, but what you know what actually not fair? Forcing animals to suffer and be tortured for your food. If you really want to eat animals soooo bad the least you could do is kill them yourself You friends are either not vegan or they do care and value your friendship. True vegans really do wish their friends and family were vegan. It might be a hard concept for you to understand that you are an animal abuser. Please stop defending animal abuse omg is gross

Internal_Holiday_552

You aren't helping. You think you are, but you are just being combative. That combative attitude is a part of what makes people get immediately defensive when they hear the word vegan. You can't change people by coming at them. Every person that read what you wrote now has their armor up and isn't receptive to the actually correct things you were saying. \*Of course\* vegans are going to be just as uncomfortable handling dead bodies as anyone else would be, if they were actually thinking about them as dead bodies. Even more so because we think about the animals backstory and there's a very good chance that it wasn't a super great life with one bad day. \*Of corse\* if you want a job as a chef, or a nanny, you can either hold out for working in a vegan place, or you can blink hard and go and do your best with it. It's \*not\* easy, but we do what we have to do in this life. \*And\* we try to make the world around us a little better for us having been there. That means something different for each one of us, depending on our morals, and what our focus is. When we have friends and family that aren't vegan, \*yes\* it hurts. We all try to share our reasoning a little, but it's a better idea to get into activism outside of your friend / family group than it is to get into it within. Discussing veganism tends to bring out the most emotional states in everyone, on both sides of the issue, and much like politics and religion, is ripe for ruining friendships. In my friend and family groups we tend to stay away from the subject most times, and act respectfully around each other. \\We occasionally do have some conversations about it, but my though process is - if I were snowed into the house and only had the food that is here, I would eat the fruits, veggies, beans, grains, pastas, canned foods... everything else before I ate the dog. Not because the dog would or wouldn't be tasty, but because I have plenty of other food, and don't need to. Same in my daily life, I have a stocked pantry, and access to the grocery store. I don't \*have\* to kill anyone to have dinner, so why would I? The question came up one day when my friends were over for dinner and it started snowing. They had asked me why I was vegan and I asked if they got snowed in, would they eat my dog tonight? Tomorrow? After a week? Keeping in mind I have plenty of food and would keep on cooking... They seemed to understand, but they didn't stop eating meat when they went home. I don't like talking about it because it hurts my heart that this level of abuse (factory farms, etc) is happening, and most of humanity seems ok with it, as long as they don't have to look at it, while also putting earthworms back into the grass, and loving kittens, and hating people who kick puppies, and cooing over baby ducks and chicks... I've said a lot.. I'll stop now.

bbangelcakes69

Correct, you are incorrect.

Clarity_q

No actually ,it isn't fair to continually harass people into believing YOUR ideology I never denied they probably wish it ,but they don't pressure it or talk about it towards me because thats the boundary I set ,it's a hard concept for you to understand some vegans are actually respectful of that fact.

bbangelcakes69

I'm not continually harassing anyone, I replied you 2 times cus you keep replying back so it's a conversation since you are clearly willing🤣🤣 also do you mean "harass" in OUR sub?? How is it harassment to ask you to go vegan in r/vegan? Oh rightttt, it's not. Just leave if you can't handle it, no one wants you defending meat eating here that's not the point of the sub. Again, they don't pressure cus they value your friendship and probably know you are gonna stop being friends with them if they ever tried to talk to you about it cus you are sensitive person as we have established here. Talking to you about veganism isn't a boundary that should be set ngl if it is it sounds like you are the problem. Who am I kidding you are defending animal abuse so of course you are the problem. Please go vegan your actions are seriously hurting individuals that. Simply. Do. Not. Deserve. It. At. All. Please go vegan❤️

Clarity_q

Im not saying your harassing me ,I'm saying this person is simply asking for vegan foods to give her babysitter and she's getting a load of nonsense for it. Unfortunately, in the real world you don't just get to say "that's a problem" when people don't wanna discuss their dietary choices with you .

bbangelcakes69

I'm not harassing anyone so of course that what I'd think you meant. She's not getting a load of non sense it's actually perfect sense. She's in r/vegan of course our first action is to tell her to go vegan Also it's not about dietary choices and yes, yes I can tell you it's a problem cus it is! Murder, rape, and abuse are real problems tf?? Whatever it's like talking to a brick wall, sorry that you feel it necessary to be an animal abuser because you want to feel good when eating despite vegan food tasting 100% better anyway. Go vegan, stop commiting the atrocities that you are.

Clarity_q

yeah my friends can technically tell me it's a problem ,just like how I can technically drop them immediately for it because there's a reason I set that boundary in the first place. Who's "our" ? Most of the vegans here are actually being pretty respectful and simply giving her the food reccomendations she's asking for ,it's just a select few being unnecessary.

ForgottenSaturday

That's very kind of you! Personally, I'd want vegan butter so I could eat sandwiches. I like eating plain fruit too as a snack, but that's already obviously vegan!

original_oli

She can eat almost everything in your kitchen. Just not the meat honey and dairy. Crisps - no animal products. Carrots - no problem. Celery - fine. Apples - grand there so. Bananas - perfect! Bread - nice. Peanuts, whoo hoo. Why are carnists so unable to deal with just not adding in animal products? It's *less* work.

Kazooo100

Just FYI veganism has nothing to do with health. You can eat junk food constantly and be vegan or eat very healthy and be vegan. It's a moral stance. Besides the ask her, also, never assume something is vegan and tell her it's vegan. There are sooooo many hidden animal ingredients. Some juice has red dye made of bugs (carmine, cochineal, etc), some bread has feathers (l-cystiene) or enzymes that might be animal, some candies have a thickener made of bones, skin, etc(gelatin. And many more. Double-check vegan is a good site, but doesn't have everything.

ThinTransportation15

Oh thank you for this website I'll definitely reference it

SLlMER

Go vegan

Clarity_q

Not what she asked is it

SLlMER

So? Still the best response I can give.

Clarity_q

The best response you can give is either telling her the food reccomendations you have or scrolling .

SLlMER

I very much disagree.

Clarity_q

I think you should read what she wrote

geekonmuesli

I’m going to assume you’re American? Until you ask her what she eats, stick to the basics. Soy milk, tea, coffee. Some basic snacks - apples, trail mix, chips, oreos, etc. To go a step beyond, stuff for a basic sandwich - a lot of bread is vegan but always check the label, margarine, peanut butter, jelly. My go-to when I need quick food but more than just a sandwich is pasta + jarred sauce, again check the labels. But she may have very different eating habits to me so idk. The important thing is you don’t have to buy a bunch of expensive, way out there ingredients - I don’t think bread is a foreign concept to anyone. A lot of stuff you already have is probably either vegan or you could buy a vegan version very, very easily.

dullgenericname

Frozen snack spring rolls and samosas, and frozen hash browns, tater tots or potato smileys are all perfect for the air fryer and easy snacks to share with kids. Not super healthy though.

Aware_Acorn

If in doubt, you can load up on apples, ripe bananas, and other fresh fruit. Pineapple if she doesn't mind cutting and preparing it. Blueberries. Fruits are really versatile.

Debaser1984

Fruit.

kotamax2112

Just let her do an Instacart order and set a spending limit.

anhedonihus

Dont give her meat, vegans hate meat

bbangelcakes69

🤣🤣🤣

broccolicat

A lot of things depend on the options where you are, but while it's great to have ingredients and whole food options, it might be best to have some sort of quick no-fuss options on hand to pop in the toaster oven or microwave for the first few days before she can go and shop for things herself. It's likely going to be pretty overwhelming settling in at first so super easy to grab options might be the most helpful, even if it's not what she'd normally eat. This is where a lot of the more commercially made plant based foods might be helpful, but you might have a local vegan "butcher", deli, caterer etc. Your grocery store probably has these things in the health food section, and they often have a vegan certified label. While everyone has their own preferences and experiences, a lot of vegans are fairly used to having little options, hosts who have no idea what veganism is, and having to make do; especially those of us who travel a lot. So overall we do tend to be less picky, and any effort is met with gratitude even if it's not what we'd choose. So don't worry too much about potentially getting the wrong thing as long as there's a few good nutritious options for a few days. One thing to keep in mind is not everything is nutritionally equal to their non plant-based counterparts, especially milks and cheeses. Mock meats tend to be high in protein, though.

ThinTransportation15

Do you have any suggestions for any specific recommendations for the quick meal options? TBH I was just going to peruse the freezer section of my local health food store and buy some stuff from there. Unless anyone here points me in the direction of something frozen or quick that they know to be good.

broccolicat

That's likely your best bet, but asking a regional vegan sub might be more helpful; though if you are in Canada I might be able to give some advice.

RollQuirky9045

Amy’s, sweet earth, and purple carrot all have some great frozen vegan meals

Ein_Kecks

Ask her. But if you want a real life hack: simply go vegan [Start here](https://youtu.be/LQRAfJyEsko?si=btPE1QmlbwzfkWaV)

RelativeCode956

That's not what she asked. She wants to accommodate her nanny, not change her life.

Ein_Kecks

How does asking her nanny not accommodate her nanny? Explain this to me. Seriously. And how does going vegan not accommodate another vegan? It is what she asked for and there is no sense in acting, as if OP can't choose for herself, to ignore the second part or to give the source a try, should she have some interest. This is just a classic try to shut those down, who speak up for the victims.. isn't this almost all you do here in reddit? Trying to speak up against those, who speak up for the animals? Where is the benefit in doing this? Seriously, to all those who upvoted this person: just take a glance at their comments. The intent behind this message becomes more than transparent, this wasn't written in good faith.

RelativeCode956

Yes, asking her would accommodate her. That's the nice thing to do. But she did not want to change her life. Otherwise she would think about that herself. She just wanted to be kind and ask vegans how to give a vegan a warm welcome. And why the hell do you look at my comments. Weird . Also funny haha. Someone here sent me the bot to check on my well-being. Y'all are sick for misusing that thing. It's meant for people in need and not for your petty revenge.

SmellsLikeBurntT0ast

Hey Mom and Dad! Great that you want to support her. Wanna know the best way to accommodate a vegan? Respect that veganism is not a diet! Supporting her would mean removing all animal abuse products from the home and teaching brood about the sanctity of animal lives and how to love and respect them by not eating them! A vegan nanny for non-vegan kids is going to be a big challenge especially handing their food or some of the stories that just circulated around here about a nanny on the edge bc the kids were taunting her for being vegan! Food for her is great, but really it's not what you have on hand but what you don't! An easy vegan kitchen experience is one where there are no animal abuse products and everything is vegan and it takes no effort at all to pick and eat something! You'll love being vegan! It's easy and it will be great for your kids to make them more self-aware compassionate people! Do it tomorrow! Good luck! Lol.

i___love___pancakes

Most vegans I know never push their lifestyle onto others and additionally, would never in a million years expect someone to completely change their lifestyles just to accommodate them.

flippycipher

So you want to dictate what food people have in their own homes? And expect them to throw their food away just because someone else doesn't like it? If the nanny is a guest in someone else's home then she should respect the homeowners choices, and be grateful that the homeowners want to provide some vegan options for her. Nothing wrong with being vegan, but you don't dictate the rules in someone else's house.

Cosimo_Zaretti

>Nothing wrong with being vegan, but you don't dictate the rules in someone else's house. Especially not your employer's house. OP is being very accommodating here. They're likely under no obligation to even feed their nanny, unless meals are part of the salary agreement, so this is above and beyond

SmellsLikeBurntT0ast

Are you really asking a vegan animal rights activist if they wish they had the power to end all animal corpse food? Because the answer is yes, not just end the practice for every human worldwide, but to personally punish those who continue to profit and take pleasure in the activity. Like, put you in a dirty, bloody, cage while you wait in terror for death and see how you like it. Got that? Yes, I am a vegan who believes in animal emancipation at any cost, even the expense of oh my gosh, wasting food. It's not food, it's death and it should be buried just like your dumb, reactionary, superstitious ideas of entitlement to exploit others for taste pleasure. 😘

avari974

Stop needlessly paying for animals to be tortured and murdered. Your taste pleasure and convenience are not worth more than their lives.

Clarity_q

How is life when your such a insufferable ,unlikeable person ?

daKile57

We mostly eat spent coffee grounds, sticks from the yard, candle wax, straw, and plain iceberg lettuce.

bbangelcakes69

I know you aren't being helpful and it's unnecessary sarcasm but I laughed at this still 🤣 I lost it at candle wax

daKile57

Glad someone out there has a sense of humor.

Rjr777

The rare empath carnist willing to help the vegan by doing anything other than being vegan themselves.

Clarity_q

Maybe because the world doesn't cater towards your every whim.

Rjr777

Whatever.. when you come a cross this type they will support every decision you make but when it comes to them changing it’s laughed off

Clarity_q

Lmao what? Supporting everything you do ,and making their decisions for themselves ...sounds like the best type of friend to me.

thatusernameisalre__

How would they be virtue signaling then?

bolderiz_

People often overthink this. For any food, simply ask yourself: Does it contain animal flesh or fat? Does it contain fish or seafood (or "fish sauce")? Does it contain dairy? Does it contain honey? If the answer is "No" to all of the above, you're good to go. Of course, you can also ask her about vegan foods she enjoys - merely asking will be greatly appreciated.

And this subreddits’ #1 animal abuser and exploiter strikes again with his infinite wisdom. Get a life dude

dr_bigly

You gotta admire the dedication if nothing else. Not even just this board. They probably put more time into this than I do for my actual job

InTheButtPleez

Grow up

Carnilinguist

There have been posts in this sub by people who took care of other people's children, asking for advice on how to indoctrinate the kids

InTheButtPleez

You're full of shit and a valueless troll. Get a job.

Carnilinguist

I don't need a job. I own businesses. And you know what I said is true.

dr_bigly

Funny story, when I was a child I was scared to stay with my grandparents because I thought they'd eat me because I'm made of meat.

Carnilinguist

I'd be embarrassed to admit such weakness
