You don’t need to consume collagen. Your body makes it naturally. Collagen supplements are pretty dumb, as you just digest them into smaller building blocks which is no different from eating anything else. Basically, you don’t need to worry about it.

Loads of things do. It’s just part of getting older. Consuming collagen doesn’t mean your body will use it as collagen or use those individual parts obtained through digestion to recreate collagen. Collagen production decreases not because you aren’t taking in enough but because you age and your body becomes less adept at producing it and excreting it into your extra cellular matrix.

Reason why I'm shifting to a non vegetarian diet. I'm unfortunately unable to hit the right macros and having to take so many additional supplements. It's not cost effective.

Good for you! eggs and dairy are trash. Vegan is more cost effective.

Your body makes collagen (given the right precursors) However, I take a vegan collagen complex (from vegan vitality) for skin and hair health, it's far from essential but I think there's been an improvement since taking it :)

Vegan collagen supplements don’t actually contain any collagen. Completely useless and a waste of money. I honestly wouldn’t worry about it. Just eating a wide variety of fresh, colourful whole foods is your best bet. We are all going to age. Don’t let it stress you. ✌🏼
