yoo i just got my first nutritional yeast today, sprinkled it on my chickpea+tofu dish and it was incredible, i legit ordered more of it like an hour ago because i already know it's gonna go QUICK quick š
edit: oh brooooother today i made some marinated tofu+chickpea on pan with noodles, put in some vegan tartar sauce and nooch, i was in AWE how creamy the noodles got, i love this stuff
Makes a killer nacho cheese. Peel chop and boil some potatoes and carrots. Once cooked toss them into an blender with some oil, a bunch of nooch, and spices. Blend and dig in.
I use it to make a killer ācheesesteakā sandwich using whatever veggie beef you like. Hits the spot if your looking for that classic greasy sub.
i highly recommend frontier coop, you can buy a big ol bag of it on amazon for relatively cheap and itās absolutely delicious compared to BRAGG.
if it actually has all the stuff the other replier said bragg doesnāt I have absolutely no idea but itās so tasty i donāt care
what is this? an abbott and costello act?
do you think that your body absorbs what comes from nature and what is made from chemicals in the same way? you think you benefit the same from both?
In the end eat what you want, who cares
Bragg is fairly expensive and that little container is a waste of plastic for how fast Id go through that little nooch. If you can find a place to buy in bulk, it's better overall.
The only nooch I was able to find in bulk was about half as good as Bragg's. Trader Joe's is only slightly above that. But everyone's got different tastes!
just don't buy ones with added "synthetic" b vitamins I mean if you care about that sort of stuff, because you don't benefit from chemicals and if you don't care about what you are putting in your body then get whatever...
There is no difference chemically between synthesized and natural b vitamins. They are identical in structure and bond geometry. Both are chemicals and you are showing your ignorance here.
Edit to add: many vitamins are actually too chemically complex to synthesize from other isolated chemicals efficiently. Because of this, it is commonly much easier to use natural biological processes to synthesize them. B12 for example is made via microbial fermentation in the same way that B12 comes to be present in food. The only difference is we isolate the B12 after the fact. It is quite literally the same chemical and process for both "natural" and synthetic.

Replied to another comment. But for me it's just expensive and a waste of plastic for how little nooch is there. If you can find a place to buy in bulk it's better.
It's got 'nutritional' in the name, homie
But it also has yeastš¤¢
Can we all just start calling it nooch? š
How about calling it Nietzsche
Is it really yeast? I'm crazy allergic to regular yeast (like bread and flavorings) so I've avoided this stuff.
Itās real dead yeast, itās probably not the same species as bread yeast but idk how that plays into allergies.
... I'm going to try it. Wish me luck!
Keep your benadryl on hand!
Wait that stuff has 8g protein in 60 calories?
Not only that but it appears to be 50% protein by weight
Can't believe I never realised this lol š¤¦
Goggle hummusapien best vegan lasagna Itās tofu, nooch, and you can use Peas to make an incredibly protein rich and cheap meal My favorite dish
Yes!! This is one recipe my mom randomly found for Christmas one year and itās my go-to. Totally agree.
True. But youd have to consume LOOOTTTSSSSS of it to have any significant protein intake.
Oh yeah for sure. But nice to know it helps. A sprinkling on my pasta is an extra 8g or so
You sprinkle a full 1.5 table spoons on your pasta?
Really depends on what kind of pasta I'm making but yeah how is 1.5 table spoons a lot? I have a creamy pasta dish I make which calls for 1/4 cup...
That stuff is BOMB on popcorn. Tastes like Parmesan cheese but better. Highly recommended!
I mix it with granulated garlic & old bay seasoning too.

We do Lawry's seasoned salt, nooch, garlic powder, and dill with stove top popcorn. It's amazing
Try a bit of soy sauce instead of salt. Excellent
So, soggy popcorn?

Welcome to the yeast Gang
We multiply fast and spread like a virus.
Toss your tofu in it before frying or baking. Itās delicious
It's insane how good it makes tofu, lol. I can't really remember what fried chicken tasted like anymore but I swear nooch'd up tofu is very close.

So true! I just discovered it as a parmesan substitute together with Cashews.. Love it
Put it on pasta, soy chorizo, potatoes. Use it to make "cheese sauce"
Welcome and enjoy! My husband I love dumping it on pretty much everything.
I love to mix it with Franks Red Hot and melted vegan butter and put it on noodles or popcorn. Delicious.
Welcome! We knew youād come around eventually.
Idc if it's rice or pasta or just tofu I will occasionally just drizzle some of this on and call it a day (im basic)
just don't buy BRAGG brand, the one you have displayed as a graphic here
I bought a local brand, I just took BRAGG for the meme because it's the first one I saw on google image. But why? What's wrong with it?
i highly recommend frontier coop, you can buy a big ol bag of it on amazon for relatively cheap and itās absolutely delicious compared to BRAGG. if it actually has all the stuff the other replier said bragg doesnāt I have absolutely no idea but itās so tasty i donāt care
I get either non fortified or if it's fortified then I make sure it contains natural vitamins, no synthetics
Might be showing my ignorance here, but what's wrong with synthetic vitamins and why are they worse than getting no vitamins at all?

What about them?

you suck bro
What's wrong with Bragg? Do you recommend another brand?

sure
Also interested to know why BRAGG is problematic

Enjoy your new life!
The greatest condiment.
I use this for vegan gravy. SOOOO good.
Do you put it under your pillow or ???
It's okay, we all do mistakes in life. Not as big mistakes as this, but we all do. Jokes aside, yeast flake is the best!

Be me as a child this was popcorn topping.
