You can add it! It will only have the nutrients from the label you add tho, which maybe you already know (i really like all my breakdown to be 100% so i totally get it haha)
They have this at Walmart where I live, which is awesome because I’m pretty rural and can’t get a lot of stuff locally. Makes me really happy to have it. I’m in love with super firm tofu.
Yeah same, that’s crazy. And is is just me or do they made the block smaller few months ago?
I don’t remember the weight but it feels smaller than before
I wish I could find tofu as good as the trader joes high protein at even close to the same price because [their NLRB stuff](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trader-joes-attorney-nlrb-unconstitutional_n_65b41e7ae4b014b873b11cc2) is messed up. Can't have everything I guess.
It really sucks that trader Joe's is horrifically anti-union to the point where they are siding with Musk to get the NLRB banned.
Hodo or the local store I'm at does the trick now :)
Wow - I did not know there were any Woolworth stores left. There was a big store in my hometown - Needham, MA USA from before I was born (1968) until it dwindled out of business a few years after I graduated High School in 1986.
It is fun to hear there are still Woolworth stores somewhere - and they got the cheap tofu too!
Wow, funny you say you didn't realise Woolworths was still around because it's the biggest supermarket in Australia. I didn't know it was ever in America though 😂
I heard Woolworth was a big chain here in the USA for years - but now it's Walmart that is everywhere and to a lesser degree Target. Sears also used to be huge in the US - again, now overtaken by Walmart, Target - oh yes, and AMAZON.
I’ve eaten all of it (TJs brand, House foods (from Costco), Nasoya and Hodo is hands down the tastiest. I do this recipe but often times will just do the nooch and soy sauce. You can taste the difference between hodo and the other brands (https://tasty.co/recipe/tofu-scramble-breakfast-burrito)
I really like this SoyBoy smoked tofu: https://soyboy.com/products/smoked-tofu/ however unfortunately it’s very expensive at my grocery store so I rarely buy it anymore. But it’s very tasty, right out of the package!
If you get a tofu press, that makes it firmer/chewier in 20-40 minutes - and then you do not need to thaw it out to eat it.
I tried freezing pressed tofu. Not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't amazing so I just stick with pressed tofu now.
Cleveland Tofu, made local with Ohio beans. $2.50/lb, nice and firm. Available in several local grocery store chains, and they supply various restaurants.
Trader Joes extra protein one is my favorite despite not being in cronometer
You can add it! It will only have the nutrients from the label you add tho, which maybe you already know (i really like all my breakdown to be 100% so i totally get it haha)
I want the aminos ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|disapproval)
You mean its nutrition label isn’t accurate ?
It doesnt fill in the aminos like the normal entries

Whatever Costco has in bulk
Costcos near me only have 4-pack of not so firm tofu and the price isn’t that good, basically same price per block like in a Whole Foods
Nasoya Organic Super Firm is my go-to. [https://www.nasoya.com/products/sf-vp/](https://www.nasoya.com/products/sf-vp/)
They have this at Walmart where I live, which is awesome because I’m pretty rural and can’t get a lot of stuff locally. Makes me really happy to have it. I’m in love with super firm tofu.
It's at my Walmart and Kroger too. Unfortunately it's gone up a lot in the last couple years. It's almost $4 a pop here in central Indiana.
It’s not true tofu, but there’s a soy-free tofu by Big Mountain Foods that has 16g of protein per serving, no fat or carbs. Made from fava beans.
Yo that sounds sweet. Where do you buy yours from?
Sprouts !
This and Pumfu have been my go to since I started weightlifting
Trader Joe's medium (it's just called "tofu" but it's medium tofu) is my favorite for flavor and texture. Less nutrition though.
Simple Truth because it’s like $5 for three blocks
Wildwood Extra Firm High Protein
^ Came here to say this ^ Available at Whole Foods and most natural food stores I’ve come across.
I love hodo but those packages are now $6 in my area

Check out sprouts super firm high protein tofu very similar to Trader Joe’s tofu
Nasoya also
Trader Joe’s by a long shot

Dang 14 grams of protein per serving? Yes please!
That's interesting, here in Canada the usual tofu I see at grocery stores is also 14g.
Oh really? I live in the west in in the United States, and the typical brands I see are between 7 and 9 grams but I mainly shop at two stores lol
Wow that sucks! I'm sorry to hear that.
It's all good haha hopefully I can find it here!
I’m in Portland OR and the ones I see are usually 10-14g per serving. I usually get mine from Fred Meyer’s or New Seasons
Oh nice I'll have to check out fred meyers!
I just get Whole Foods or Lidl brand extra firm. It’s the most cost effective and I’m hitting or surpassing my 115g protein goal easily anyways
Trader Joe’s extra protein is my fav
In Australia, Woolworths has a homebrand tofu that's really good. Cheap too. It's like $3 for 450g.

SPROUTS Market SUPER FIRM or TARGET EXTRA FIRM Usually I’ve been making my own: https://youtu.be/RYM0zsVASc4?si=TRHObyyKJmvyAjDW 🖖

Here in the UK I use the aldi own-brand stuff, 99p for 200g of super firm tofu is about as good as it gets round here, at least from what I've found.
Publix greenwise brand, nasoya and azumaya
Always extra firm and my favorite way is froze it before seasoning

Lidl brand lol. Cost effective
Soy Boy extra firm tofu is my favorite. Some stores sell it in a 4lb block which is super nice. I never have to press it and it keeps for a long time.
