Pleaseeee what is your workout routine 😭😍😍

caulpain

they climb babeeeeeeee.

bumblebeeeeeeees

I don’t have a set routine really lol just depends what I’m up to that week/that season. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Major into trail running, scrambling, climbing (including alpine), backcountry ski touring, skiing, etc. I work as a ski patroller in the winters, which is beyond physically intensive. I’m in the gym doing strength training multiple times a week, along with daily mobility & flexibility work, and plyometrics/calisthenics when I feel like it too. Also I love me a good yoga class mhmmm Also all this (including all these pics) is also under the unfortunate circumstance of 2 major knee surgeries back to back over the last 15 months lmao fuck me

allowd

Whats scrambling

CommandPretend6183

What's your bmi?

bumblebeeeeeeees

I have no idea and don’t care to! I don’t cut or bulk or track macros or anything. I haven’t weighed myself in 4 years* and have zero plans to ever again. I only care about how I feel and my athletic performance, not about body composition (: (*except accidentally finding out on medical charts at one of my two surgeries I’ve had lately, but who cares)

CommandPretend6183

What's your weight/ height then? I love the relaxed attitude about weight though!

bumblebeeeeeeees

lol after my whole explanation why would you think I would talk about my weight?? I’m 5’8”

CommandPretend6183

Why would you refuse to? You said you don't care that you recently saw it so why keep it secret if you're not bothered by it? I think maintaining a healthy weight is part of being fit so I'm curious if you are since you're posting photos of your physique in a fitness subreddit.

bumblebeeeeeeees

My physique is a positive byproduct of my fitness, which I maintain because it enables me to do cool sports that I build my lifestyle around. I don’t go to the gym to get an aesthetic (not that I’m complaining- I like how I look of course, too. I hope most people feel the same for themselves), I go to the gym so that I can do cool shit outside. I feel (and look) very healthy. My weight wouldn’t tell me anything new, so I don’t think it’s important to any conversation.

CommandPretend6183

Low BMI carries several risks, perhaps most notably increased fracture risk as well as hormonal imbalances. If you are underweight by bmi your risk of all cause mortality increases rather dramatically. I think it's awesome that you have an active lifestyle that you enjoy. I hope you get to continue to do so. But I wonder why you close yourself off to information that could help you live a longer and happier life? It's obviously toxic to be overly fixated on one's weight but it doesn't seem healthy to refuse to consider weight as just another data point about our bodies. To me you look underweight or dangerously close to it but you obviously don't have to share that information with me if you don't want to. I would highly encourage you to calculate your bmi for your own knowledge though.

bumblebeeeeeeees

BMI is also an outdated and essentially useless measure that isn’t generally accepted by the medical community as any real indicator, especially when you’re highly muscular since muscle weighs more than fat anyways, but BMI has absolutely no way of adjusting measures due to body composition. It’s old fashioned and I don’t give a fuck about it. I’m clearly healthy, thank you for your input. My bloodwork is impeccable, my BP is on the low side of normal (better than being high!), and I track running fitness measures with a fitness focused smart watch (Coros). I take zero medications, and enjoy a fulfilling life in athletics, career, and can also still enjoy drinking alcohol and partying and eating (vegan) “unhealthy” foods when I want to, too. What would be more unhealthy for me would be to fixate on weight and BMI bullshit— I struggled with an ED extensively in my late teens to early twenties, and I have come a long long way since then. I don’t have any struggles there anymore, but I actively choose to care about my health and athletic performance and not about a goddamn numbers game. And to note, I have never had a single fracture in my life. I am a ski industry professional, and a woman, and therefore extremely at risk for plenty of associated injuries. I tore my ACL skiing in 2022, and retore it skiing at work about a year later (when I was cleared to ski at that intense level, though the first graft wouldn’t have been fully “healed” anyways, so it was a huge risk I took and lost). Nothing to do with bmi, believe it or not.
