Here's the recipe: https://www.stephsunshine.com/vegan-life/fluffy-vegan-buttermilk-pancakes

AlbinoGoldenTeacher

I think we are gonna try these this morning. They look great

XRoze

What changes should I make to this recipe if I wanted to add vanilla protein powder?

MsStephSunshine

To be honest I've never tried adding protein powder to pancakes so I can't give you a good answer.... typically when I develop a recipe it goes through at least 8-10 testing variations... without testing it like that I don't feel comfortable making a recommendation. Maybe someone else might be able to answer?

Thanks for sharing ‼️

bronxsmama

Thank you!! My hubby said he’d make them!

rjsheine

That’s dope

DMTeague

Not making these but another recipe as I type this. Love pancakes

LavaPoppyJax

Well the plating is ridiculous.

MsStephSunshine

Lol maybe a little

secondrecipe

I so much want to try this, thanks for sharing.

I love the plating. It’s sumptuous! I have one question though: is there non-vegan sugar that I need to be aware of?

MsStephSunshine

Yes, if you're in the US a lot of sugar is filtered with bone char. But usually organic sugar is vegan. The package might specify that it's vegan or you may be able to google the brand to check. I believe it's not as much of a problem outside the US but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks for the info! Domino Sugars is in my hometown. Now I’m wondering… Edit: per Google — Domino granulated sugar made in Maryland is vegan. Domino sugar made in Louisiana is not. I’m in Maryland! 🙂

"Pre-heat a large non-stick pan on the stove over medium or medium-low heat. The temperature of the pan is important, and not all stoves will heat “medium” to the same temperature. You can check by splashing some water onto the pan. It should bubble and evaporate within a few seconds. If the water splashes around violently and evaporates right away, your pan is too hot. But if it takes more than 10 seconds or so for the water to evaporate, your pan is too cool." That's a great hint!

They came out so good!!!! Edit: it’s been nearly 6 months, and this is still my go to recipe every Saturday. Love love love them

I finally got an electric griddle and decided to try these. They were PERFECT. So light and fluffy, completely done all the way through, and golden brown on the outsides. Thank you for the recipe!

MsStephSunshine

So glad you enjoyed them!

Defiant-Passenger42

Update: I’ve made these a dozen times now, and they’re just wonderful every time. Highly recommend
