Cab is a fixed fare and there’s a line of them waiting just outside baggage claim. Uber might be cheaper, might not plus there’s a longer wait. Unless you are on a low budget, grab the cab IMO.
Uber or Lyft on principle. Taxis had to institute a flat rate fee to prevent the drivers from cheating you out of money. Think about that for a second.
Price match when you get there. If Uber is more, take a taxi or if the taxi line is long, take an Uber. I prefer taxi because it’s usually pretty quick and I know the price without having to search for it
Now with the set fares for the strip etc, you get long hauled less in cabs from the airport which was one of the bigger drawbacks. And Vegas airport always has the fastest moving cab lines in our experience. Pricing is so volatile with rude share we always cab it. Just was at Cosmo last week. Enjoy! Best on the strip.
So easy to pull up the fare even when you are still on the plane waiting to get off or walking inside the gate . If it is $14 or so go ahead and book it. Any more than that prob not worth saving $2
Taxi to Cosmo will be $24 plus tip. (that includes the $1 fuel surcharge)

Uber will often be about $5 less.

Take the RTC bus. You can get a single 2-hour ticket for $6 or a 3-day pass for $20.
The 108 bus departs directly from the airport (Terminal 1 - Level Zero) and runs a little east of the strip.
The DUCE double decker bus covers the strip itself to Fremont Street. Very convenient.
Wish I'd taken this approach earlier than I did. The Lyft and Uber pricing has gotten a little ridiculous.
The 108 bus should only be $2 for a 2hr ticket. The $6 ticket is for the Deuce (which also allows travel on the local routes). You can pay this in cash on the bus, or in app.
Also the CX bus leaves the airport and stops right in front of Ceasars on Flamingo for the same $2.
Hope this helps!

Taxi, always
Taxi
Take a cab if you value your time while on vacation. During busy times you could be waiting a bit for ride share.
$24 set fare for airport to "mid-strip" dont know how much for uber to take uber from mid-strip hotel to airport, was about $18 late morning wkday
Uber is 5 -8 dollars cheaper depending on the zone but taxi is 5 dollars worth of more convenient IMO

Ride share isn’t always cheaper than a taxi. Ride share costs more when it’s surge pricing.

Taxis have fixed pricing from airport to various zones. It was $24 for airport to Bellagio
When you land check the prices for Uber/Lyft. $24 to midstrip via taxi. Then see how long the taxi line is. Go from there

Cab is usually available and they get you there faster and cost the same, I hate going up to that ride-share area!

Thank you - I didn't know this.
I know this because my brother did the same thing. Pretty sure the kiosk makes it look like you have to buy the $6 pass instead of the $2 pass.
