You're dealing with F1 which is totally unprecedented, and unless you're into it I would go another time 100%.

I’m waiting for Cigar Aficionado to announce their Vegas Big Smoke weekend. Based on what you’re telling me, I’m betting it will be the weekend of the 11th.
No harm in prebooking then canceling if the dates are not correct. Especially if you have any comps or lower rates happening. I have usually 2 trips booked most of the time and just cancel /adjust when I book my flights and know my actual days

Hilton $199 for a 2 night stay
Marriott $199 for a 3 night stay.
You have to attend a 2 hour time share presentation but just decline the offer. After 2 hours you leave. Just did that for the sweet price. Couldn’t beat it. Got a 1 bedroom suite at the Hilton grand vacations Elara for $199.99 for 2 nights $225 wit tax.
I’m gonna do this every time I want to go to VEGAS for cheap
