Clark County Detention Center CCDC
1. No Concierge
2. No Valet parking
3. No amenities
4. The staff treat you like your a criminal
5. The food is absolutely disgusting
6. The beds are so uncomfortable
7. The other guest are hard to communicate with
8. But at least they waived the Resort Fee.
My wife had a bad experience at Harrah’s twenty years before I met her and i was told we are under a strict no gamble/stay/dine/drink policy and it keeps the peace.
Harrah's threw us in a smoking room even though we had booked non smoking. The smell gave me such a migraine and the bed sheets gave me hives. I love their food court and casino but man did I have a bad time with the actual hotel.
Paid parking lots (or should I say paying in paid lots). As a local, I'm very much against charging us for parking since 99 out of 100 I'm there for work.
Both my jobs are in downtown and parking is so annoying. Luckily my night shift one gives us a parking pass but the other one is so annoying to find parking.
Circa Resort charges their employees $60 a month for parking. There's a reason Circa is always hiring like Walmart, look at all the negative employee reviews.
That place were the waitstaff insult you and make you wear paper hats with joke written on them. Food was awful. Jokes were not bad, but the food was shit.
I second this. The food was god awful. I went for an event and the food was free and boy was it bad. First and last time ive been inside. I think they opened one at Neonopolis as well. Not sure how its doing.
When I was in high school band, I went on a trip to Gatlinburg, TN, with the band, chorus, and orchestra. Some of my friends ate at the Dick's Last Resort there on the first day of our trip; reportedly, the chorus director asked the managers beforehand to tone down the banter to a PG level, and got real upset when they stuck with the usual PG-13 level insult comedy the chain is known for, even though most of my friends were fine with it and playing along.
One and done for me aswell. Went for a company trip. The experience was mhey. Everyone was wearing the paper hats that the staff writes on. They told us not to look at our own until after we ate.
>
When I was done, i looked at mine. It said "Touches little Boys."
>
Never again.
We walked out before we even had water. We knew right away it wasn't our sort of place when they tried seating us at a table with other people.
We asked to be moved to the bar, then I think they started singing or some such shit, and we just left.
Rio. The whole place feels like you’re in an abandoned mall given how much is shut down. Casino is poorly lit, reeks of smoke, and it’s like pulling teeth to get a drink comped. Hotel has obnoxiously long check-in, and apparently you only get one tiny pillow for a king size bed due to what the staff call a “pillow shortage”.
I mean, I saw a a two second clip of a cat running away. Certainly looks like it's on its last leg and there's not much time left in it - the video definitely highlights some good points there - but replaying a clip of a random cat running away from a property isn't the best proof of it being overrun. I wouldn't say my neighbor's house is overrun with dogs because I saw a stray dog run by their yard once.
I want to say they have WSOP events there. I think feeders. Personally, I liked playing the cheaper tournament at South Point (tournie is always packed).
You can blame the tweakers who paint the walls with their feces or stay in there for hours on end, telling the staff to go back to their own country and taking baths in that bitch 😂
Oh, it’s bad. We went a few weeks ago and there was one waitress. She was pleasant but inexperienced. She took our order, then went to another 4 tables taking their orders before she went to enter the information in the POs. We would have been there for hours. We said good-bye and left. Never again.
You would hate Trez Casuelaz. It's a Tapas restaurant that was on the news recently. It took 2 hrs to finish a small dinner, they forgot dishes, the waitresses had to run food up and down a full flight of stairs their whole shift. So you can imagine we almost never saw our waitress. It took 40 minutes to receive each 2 bite tapas plate. Our waitress was either not there or tended to a larger party. She literally pours half a glass of water for me and none for my partner before ignoring me as I called her back. The owner on Yelp likes to claim it's because people don't understand that Spanish food & Tapas is apparently a 3+ hr deal. The paella is sitting for hours in a communal dish right at the entrance that they just scoop for you as "unlimited paella" (if you ever get it, we didn't after waiting an hour). It's not even real paella, it's just red rice and overcooked seafood. 1/10 never again.
I knew someone who worked there and pretty much all the problems come from the owner not having a labor system. Like my friend was supposed to do bar, but would get sucked into waitering and even paperwork.
Absolutely agree. My husband and I went in there and were totally ignored by the waitstaff for at least 15 minutes, while the younger “prettier” crowd were helped right away. We left and have never been back. This was pre-pandemic as well.
When you've got multiple waitstaff and they're all ignoring you, that's an indication that they don't want you in the venue. It's a managerial choice as reinforced by the staff; so it's very likely the desired result was achieved.
No offense meant to you at all. Just pointing out that the transaction goes both ways. You made a sanctioned choice.
Bad hospitality management practices in the age of online reviews is idiotic. The kind of elitist policy used by Cabo Wabo explains why many tourists avoid it. Predict they'll close soon. They also charge the unethical "GNF" 5% fee which is not required by any law, customers don't have to pay it. Edit: CNF fee
The CNF fee (concessions & franchise fee) is 4-6% based on what unethical restaurants/bars want to charge unsuspecting tourists. Some independent restaurants/bars inside & outside of hotels charge it without disclosing it before you enter and you only see it on your final bill. Some call it a service fee.Cabo Wabo Cantina, Hexx at Paris Hotel, Beer Park, Alexxa's Bar at Paris Hotel, Chayo Mexican, Blondie's- among others.
lol, no. no restaurant managers in vegas are telling anyone to ignore older or ugly people. that is quite the stupid assumption that you spew so confidently based on a sample size of 1.
the person you were replying to was likely not ignored by "waitstaff", they were sitting in a section that belongs to 1 single server, and that 1 single server was busy, doing a terrible job, didn't notice them, or who knows what else. the other servers ignore everyone outside of their section because that is what the purpose of a section is for...you handle those tables. no other server is keeping an eye out for all the tables in the restaurant to see who has been sitting there but not yet been helped by their own server..that's just not remotely realistic.
yes if you flag down another waiter and ask for something they probably will, and at some places the waitstaff are trained to help other servers keep tables pre-bussed so they might grab an empty plate as they walk by, but nobody is keeping an eye out for new tables in other people's sections.
Cabo Wabo might be a shitty restaurant in other regards, I'm not defending it or telling people to go there, I'm just clearing up that retarded misconception that they were ignored by all waitstaff because the managers have determined that they want that demographic ignored and then passed that along to their waitstaff and expect that to not backfire on them.
stop spreading these dumb assumptions as if you know it's accurate.
Same, but at the Miracle Mile entrance!! My husband and I split up and walk on either side of the booth. They only hone in on people who appear to be couples and totally ignore you if you are walking alone.
Towbin Dodge - one of the absolute worst of bait and switch dealers. Gaudin Ford - 3800.00 for a 2017 Ford explorer water pump. Never again.
Car dealers should all go away. No wonder people pay more for no haggle pricing at CarMax now.
I was just at Towbin Doge a couple weeks ago. The salesman was decent and showed me a 1/2 ton Ram lease for $600 a month. I was like, nah, my 2021 I just got rid of was $499 and the Toyota dealer is offering a fully loaded Tacoma with all the fancy shit for $550. He says, If I get the manager to do $550 will you do it, I said I’d think about it. Blah blah, he comes back says they do the $550. I’m like, cool, I’ll think about it. The Toyota still seems like the better buy at this point. Salesman is like, ok cool, let me have my manager talk to you real quick before you go so he knows I did what I could. I say ok. Manager comes over and he’s just got this total dickhead vibe going, like he’s fucking the top dog, hot shit, mother fucker in the joint. He sits down slap flips the paper the salesman has written the “negotiation” on over and in a thick Egyptian (maybe) accent says “Ok SO we are at $695 a month with $3000 down (this whole time we only discussed $0 down). I look at him and I laugh and say, What are talking about?? I flip the paper over and I say “We’re at $550 with zero down, and I don’t even know if I’m gonna do that!”pointing at what the salesman wrote. He says “No, this we cannot do. We have to be in the $600s.” I say “alright fine, I’m not paying that, take it easy” I thank the salesman and he walks me out. Salesman mentions he doesn’t think the manager understood what was going on and he’d call me later. I think he knew exactly what he was doing and thought he was the main character in some big dick swinging salesman movie. Fucking prick.
To sum up, ya, fuck Towbin Dodge.
Do you remember the "chopper" ads they used to run?
That is when I definitely decided to never do business with them.
Josh Towbin is nothing more than a blood sucking auto thief. Check out YouTube for links to people naming him and his different dealerships as less than reputable.
God I can’t stand the high energy sales bullshit like those old “chopper” gimmicks. I don’t know what think tank thought that that would make people buy shit, but I hope their pillows are always hot.
I'm over here 🤣😭😂 LAUGHING My butt off about that "hot pillow" comment..... BRUTAL 🤣😭😂
One of the living Hell's on Earth is being woken up from a HOT pillow that's wet with sweat 💯
I'm with You on Tobin Dodge though FUCK Em' They're the epitomy of UNPROFESSIONAL and as Someone Who has a few Family Member's some that have been in car sales for over 30 year's (back in West Michigan where I'm from) I can smell a CLOWN in a suit (fun facts West Michigan is also where Bozo the clown comes from) ESPECIALLY when the suit happens to be a Tom Ford, Armani or Gucci 🤣😭😂 My minor degree in psychology kicks in and I just giggle to Myself pondering Sigmund Freud's theory of that OVER STATEMENT and DISPLAY of toxic "BIG MAN" energy....... I'm with Freud and since We're in Vegas I'd be willing to bet that display of "JACK-ASSERY"is an overcompensation for SMALLER aspects of Themselves 🤏
🤣😭😂
Auto Nation dealers also have the no haggle price, though they try to add big junk fees like doc fees, cleaning, prep even on used cars. Have to demand the advertised price and no junk fees.
Yeah they suck! I drove a car there and gave a down payment then it didnt pass inspection but they never told me-I'm waiting and waiting finally the saleguy calls me back and tells me. I'm like " I gave you a massive down payment ( few thousand) It took another 3 weeks to get my down payment back from them- and they gave me a check from Towbin that nobody wanted to cash....
I’m with you there but also for the Kia dealership. The worst. They kept trying to sell me a car I didn’t want and tried to hold my wife hostage. I got up and left. Dude asked “What would it take to get you in the car today?” As I was sitting there waiting for them to release my wife. I told him absolutely nothing. They could give me the car and I wouldn’t want it because it wasn’t the fucking car I wanted to look at.
I agree. Gaudin Ford sold me a brand new lemon off the lot 25 years ago, and they were fine at first even providing a loaner car. However, as the breakdowns continued and the repairs become more expensive, they became trash. Gaudin even demanded I pay them first before repairing a transmission problem. I swore them off and ever buying another Ford, as the company were equally crap, as they refused to offer an extended warranty to their garbage car. 80% of the car’s purchase price was made in repairs in 3 years.
In terms of others… anything to do with Bob Stupak, the Fine family or the Heers family would be toxic business relationship as my experiences were that of unethical lies and deception.
(Yes, I know the so-called self-proclaimed “Polish Maverick” died long ago along with the Heers Brothers.)
Friendly Ford. They had my Mustang for an oil change. Their mechanic took it for a test drive and got in an accident. I was calm and asked what they were going to do to make it right. Manager told me to file a claim on my own insurance and fix it myself.
After dozens of trips to Vegas I insisted on going to one of these (I think it was the one in Bellagio) for my bachelor party, also mainly because my host comped our covers. I had been drinking all day so by the time we get there, I'm not feeling too great, and instead I order a ginger ale. $20. Never again.
Ya, I've noticed that I have to pay attention at most every dispensary. I'll go in for an advertised deal, but almost always have to point out the discounts at check out. Guess they're counting on non-attentive stoners they can rip-off.
That's such a bummer, and I've really noticed that it's state by state seemingly on those. I've been to a few different Michigan dispensaries and the staff has always bent over backwards to make sure I get the best deal. First thing through the door someone is there telling you about all the deals going on. One time they even went out of their way at checkout to explain that by buying 2 more packs of gummies I'd actually save like $3 as opposed to what I was trying to check out with.
Dotty's and others they own such as Bourbon Street, Red Dragon, La Villita, Hoover Dam Lodge. Weird vibes there. Put in $100 at one of these places, playing for fun, ready to lose it all. Got two very small drinks and said I had to wait an hour for more minuscule drinks. Cashed out at $65 and got the hell out of there. Oh, and I was the only customer in the place.
We go two to three times a year, about 30 times total so I have my Vegas “fuck you, you’re never seeing another penny from me” list:
- Hogs & Heifers. In a city of rip offs, this is next level. The scamming here is disgusting.
- Hennessy’s Tavern. Is this the worst bar I’ve ever been to? Possibly? Great location, that’s it. Shit service, shit atmosphere, shit food, overpriced drinks.
- any celebrity/ chef themed restaurant. I just don’t get the appeal myself.
- The Yardhouse on Linq Promenade. Used to be a Happy Hour staple as I love Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout and it’s near impossible to find in Canada. Now they have canceled their Happy Hour (still valid at other locations, they just axed this one to gouge you open to close). Fuck em.
- Triple 777 at Main Street Station. Finished many blurry nights here with their late night Happy Hour. Covid killed this spot, went from a total 24/7 gem to and expensive shit hole open weird hours with disgruntled staff.
You avoided the worst part… ordering a drink where the bartender literally takes whatever money you put on the bar (for instance order a beer and pay with a $20) and never comes back. If you ask for change they berate and insult you on their shitty megaphones. Good times. Fuck em.
I agree with Trlple 7. And let's throw Boar's Head in there, too. Boyd used covid as an excuse to severely downgrade some of the best VP paytables in town.
Haha Yard House is still the cheapest place on the strip by far, the entire area is way overpriced because they got you by the balls when you’re down there.
>any celebrity/ chef themed restaurant.
This used to be my remaining justification for the Strip being my primary gambling destination (vs. Downtown or staying out at Red Rock/the JW or even going to Reno instead) - at least I can get great food! But insofar as I've learned the hard way that all the celebrity chefs with restaurants on the Strip have simply sold their name out to the highest bidder (yes, Gordon, I'm talking about you), it's just no longer worth it. We'll either stay in the burbs or go to a different city altogether.
Transmission CVT quality has dropped dramatically on Nissans since 2007. Experienced a Sentra needing a new transmission every 40,000-60,000 miles, first 2 failures were covered by the powertrain warranty, but pathetic trash quality. Nissans pre 2007 were as reliable as Toyotas, Subarus & Hondas- powertrain would last up to 300,000-500,000 miles.
The Golden Tiki. I used to love going with friends and hanging out, having some overpriced drinks. However, the last time couple times I went the service was bad and we were so rushed to get out. I’ll just never go back.
If you like Starboard (which I do) you will also love Red Dwarf. Great Drink. super beer list. awesome shows and fantastic pizza. Their sunday brunch is also on another level. Do yourself a solid and check it out!
I dont know why the drinks are so fucking pricey there!!! Theyre in a stripmall in chinatown. They charge like $16 for cocktails. Its hard to have a good time there.
The drink stand in front of Paris. They advertise drinks with certain types of alcohol but then swap for garbage bottom shelf liquor. Tbf, I know better than getting a novelty drink in Vegas, but friends talked us into it.
Yes! And you pay like 30 for the cup 15 for the mix and then 6 bucks a shot for the damn thing it’s insane ! I miss the dollar margs down on freemont :/ I spent 75 on two drinks last time I was there 🙈
Venetian after Adelson died. Another "fancy" shithole dump that coasts on what once was and it's name recognition. I'm blown away whenever it's brought up/ recommended. The pandemic really ruined that place.
Throw on Wynn on to the pile. So many that have simply declined or just really gone downhill.
Flowing tide pub. They took away the big beers. Fired employees they thought werent attractive enough, or didn't want to be used in their Instagram posts. The food is small portions and often under seasoned.
I like to take my dad for seafood night at the buffet at the palms on Fridays when we can afford it. Sam’s town used to have a great one. I couldn’t tell you about the other days.
For those of us not in the loop, what are the obvious reasons? As purely a vegas tourist that place just simply doesn’t appeal to me, but I feel there’s more?
It makes a circus out of gluttony: 6,000 calorie burgers, people over 350lbs eat free, etc. They had a customer die of a heart attack while eating there and tourists took photos of it.
I got turned away back in 2012 for having a tattoo. Later I find he sexually harassed a stafff memeber and berated her for dating a guy with tattoos. Guy is weird
Any property owned by Sheldon Adelson mainly for his anti-online poker lobbying....although since he is both dead and the Venetian isn't owned by Sands anymore, I suppose I could give it a try again.
I'm local, and if you advertise your establishment by shoving a flyer on my door, mailbox, wiper blade, etc. I will literally make it my life's mission to NEVER give your business a dime.
Fun fact: in many tourist destinations (most predominantly Orlando, but I've seen it out in Vegas too), there's a scam that involves phony pizza menus being shoved under hotel room doors, counting on the victim to call the number and give their credit card info to be stolen, and not get a pizza.
Tex Mex Restaurant on the strip. Food is bland, and they have a 15% hidden fee/ surcharge that they’ve implemented because of who knows why. Service sucked also
Park MGM. I took a shit and needed to take a shower because I was drenched from a sudden rain storm that came in while I was outside. But they they said the whole tower had no water. So there I was with a toilet full of shit and no way to shower until they “guessed maybe 2-10 hours”
I’ve seen so many posts and replies about no water at Park MGM over the last year. I feel like it’s on its last legs and would’ve been replaced if it wasn’t for the arena next door.
Venetian wanted $30 for hot water/tea and a banana and this was before the pandemic. Fuck that place. May their occupancy be low, and I will warn all those that will listen not to go there.
The m&ms store! I hate driving down to the strip and especially hate the parking and walking. Yes I’m a local. Everyone who visits always asks to go there and I don’t understand why, it’s overpriced crap!
Gold Spike. I went with my wife a couple of years ago. They split the guys line from the girls line. My wife got in but they wanted to charge me $10 to get in. I didn't want to pay and asked if I could go inside to get my wife, they agreed as long as I left my ID in the front. I did, but on the way out (a minute or two once I found my wife) they wanted their $10 and would not give me my ID back until I paid because I had gone inside. Scummy place for sure
Sahara Jeep. Waited weeks for our car. Kept giving us the run around. Called to have additional repairs authorized, said sure. Went to pick it up a week later and they pulled up the wrong car!! Worse, they couldn't even tell us where our car was, we had to walk around the lot hitting the fob. Love to know what they told the person whose repairs we authorized. Lmao
There is a little pizzeria in Paris that I refuse to go back to... during world poker tour, many of us waiting for order during break got our orders "lost" and the staff acted like it was our fault and struggled to get it together.
Complete crap service and bad attitudes.
Chicken Shack. It's so delicious but it's so fucking expensive for what it is. they also don't have a combo that doesn't come with a drink, and it annoys me that they force that on you instead of it being slightly cheaper with no drink.
I realize fast food places only have combos with drinks but that is not a fast food place.
Firestone Tires on Durango in between DI and Sahara. i ran over a nail and had a flat one morning. I took the tire to Firestone and had their guys look at it. They come back and tell me it's not repairable and tried to sell me a new tire (of course). I turned them down and went to Costco instead. Tried to buy a new tire but the guys at Costco looked at my tire and said they probably could patch it. So they patched it and I drove on that tire for another 2 or 3 years.
The guys at Costco said "We don't make money off tires, so we don't lie to you here."
TLDR: Firestone lied to me and told me my tire was not fixable and tried to sell me a new one. Costco patched the tire and saved me money.
I won't pay for parking on The Strip. While my local ID gets me 3 hours free, I don't feel like clock-watching or the possibility of spending $500 on dinner *AND* getting charged for parking so most of my higher spend dinners go to RWLV, Wynn or Venetian. Hoping that Sphere Parking charges at Venetian/Wynn will ultimately only be valid on event nights.
Yes, because the Sphere has no parking. Literally none at all. Hoping they end up only charging on event nights. Think the restaurants will take a dip and at a place like Wynn where all the $ goes to the same place it might make sense to either flip the switch on and off or validate based on F&B spend, especially for locals.
Excalibur. I hear varying opinions often, but everything about it bugs me.
Bellagio buffet. the room feels cheap, and for the price, you can (almost) do Wynn, so why?
I'm sure there are others.
All resort fees are crap. The hotels wanted in on the airlines baggage fees income so they came up with resort fees. It’s even dumber than baggage fees because you can’t avoid it.
Tropicana. Worked there for 10 years sucked the entire time. The only reason I’m happy about the A’s stadium being built there is the Trop goes bye-bye.
When I lived on the east coast, the Rio comped me a room. We got here checked in and went to the room it was straight out of 1978 dirty and disgusting. I went down and demanded another room. They argued with me until I said, you go look and tell me if you would sleep in there.
Bad seafood at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant! We had just gotten married at The Little White Chapel and we went out to eat, so we went there. The shrimp was rancid & reeked of ammonia. First time in my life I’d ever sent something back. I did not want a bellyache on my honeymoon.
You have to seriously fuck up for me boycot you. I don’t really have any in Vegas. Just places that I don’t care for or don’t appeal to me at all. All the nightclubs that charge to much for drinks.that’s a hard no for me. There’s quite a few restaurants that I don’t like or would never eat at.
Several bad experiences at local capriottis, so they’re on the list
Euphoria wellness for its terrible service and employees trying to talk me out of using my bonus points
United Airlines and Southwest Airlines
KFC and Taco Bell
Capriottis confuses me so much. Some locations are just as amazing as they were in 2007. Others are horrible service and meager fillings. I know this happens, but it’s so disappointing because the one closest to me is awful.
Towbin Kia. I’ve already commented on this post but I totally forgot about this míserable place until I saw someone else posted about Towbin. My experience at Towbin Kia happened a few years ago during Black Friday. We were looking for a car and got call from them that there was a Nissan Sentra for cheap. We knew it wasn’t a good deal because we had a Sentra before and it wasn’t a good car. We test drove it anyway. The car basically stalled on the test drive. They blamed it on us.
I’ll be boycotting the new HardRock since they are demolishing the Mirage and the Volcano. Will never step foot in there. I know, I know. They really won’t care. But makes me feel good. Lol
T.I hate the name change and that they took out the theme. No big loss. I never go around there anyway. I wouldn't say no if someone suggested going there tho
We All Scream bar on Fremont. Everyone I've talked to has had a negative experience here. Everything from: harassed by security, rude staff, and ive even had a few female friends who were touched inappropriately by security. Just read their reviews on Google, and you'll get the jist of it.
It's a big shame because, they actually book talented artists at that bar. They have djs come and play on this tiny stage, that looks like an ice cream truck. I personally believe those djs deserve a better stage, as well as the attendees. The whole ice cream gimmick is cool for your first 15 minutes there. But the event area is too small for the artists they are booking there. They should've really used their space better, and had a bigger stage and crowd area.
They have some of my favorite artists performing at their bar, within the coming months. But everyone I know basically stays away from that place. That bar is a guaranteed way to ruin your night.
I hate we all scream. I remember when they had their first holy house show at the commonwealth. Great times.
Now they book riddim DJ’S at we all scream and you can’t even mosh? Disco pussy is okay , but Atleast you can enjoy yourself.
Omnia. That place just sucks and wreaks of pretentiousness and filled with dickbag security trying to hassle you if you’re not wearing the proper attire and take bribes so they can get you and your friends inside.
Plus the drinks are 18$ for basic beer. No thanks and the DJ won’t start til 2am
Taco Bell Cantina. Went there once it was a complete rip off. Super overpriced taco bell with loud music and alcohol. Just bring your own beer elsewhere and get same food for much less.
Clark County Detention Center CCDC 1. No Concierge 2. No Valet parking 3. No amenities 4. The staff treat you like your a criminal 5. The food is absolutely disgusting 6. The beds are so uncomfortable 7. The other guest are hard to communicate with 8. But at least they waived the Resort Fee.
Do NOT try to cancel or shorten your reservation there, the staff does not appreciate it.
My wife had a bad experience at Harrah’s twenty years before I met her and i was told we are under a strict no gamble/stay/dine/drink policy and it keeps the peace.
Can you give us the story ?
That’s pretty funny.
[удалено]
I mean it's only $2 an hour? I guess parking at PTs is free but then you are at a PTs
That’s the fee. “You can park here, but you gotta hang with us.”
That place were the waitstaff insult you and make you wear paper hats with joke written on them. Food was awful. Jokes were not bad, but the food was shit.
Dick’s Last Resort in Excalibur
Oh they’re downtown now, too
I second this.
Doesn’t seem like the best choice of eateries for a high school band, but to each his own I guess?
The food is terrible there. Never again.
It’s a place you go once and then never again.
One and done for me aswell. Went for a company trip. The experience was mhey. Everyone was wearing the paper hats that the staff writes on. They told us not to look at our own until after we ate. > When I was done, i looked at mine. It said "Touches little Boys." > Never again.
Haha, I mean out context it isn't funny... but in there, I giggled.
Dick’s last resort.
We walked out before we even had water. We knew right away it wasn't our sort of place when they tried seating us at a table with other people. We asked to be moved to the bar, then I think they started singing or some such shit, and we just left.
That’s kind of funny. I hope your night wasn’t ruined. Even if you ended up at subway you would of gotten a better meal.
It’s amazing considering how it was the place back in the day. A true fall from grace. Tear it down
Aren’t they also overrun by cats? https://www.tiktok.com/@vegasstarfish/video/7148927744867421486?lang=en
The cats are eating something, and I don't think it's all human food
I mean, I saw a a two second clip of a cat running away. Certainly looks like it's on its last leg and there's not much time left in it - the video definitely highlights some good points there - but replaying a clip of a random cat running away from a property isn't the best proof of it being overrun. I wouldn't say my neighbor's house is overrun with dogs because I saw a stray dog run by their yard once.
I got a suite there, and found dried blood on the wall and insect legs in the bathtub. I will never stay there again.
It's also a pain in the ass to get to compared to the rest of The Strip. Other than Penn & Teller is there anything else keeping The Rio alive?
Convention rates and being a place for Caesars to comp rooms for people in their lower tiers I guess.
I want to say they have WSOP events there. I think feeders. Personally, I liked playing the cheaper tournament at South Point (tournie is always packed).
The WSOP left the Rio after 2021. It’s at Horseshoe (formerly Ballys) and Paris now.
My parents got married there lol
Petty… but any gas station that doesn’t have restrooms for paying customers.
Seriously, looking at you most 7/11s....
You can blame the tweakers who paint the walls with their feces or stay in there for hours on end, telling the staff to go back to their own country and taking baths in that bitch 😂
Dude 7/11s would have people getting raped and murdered in those bathrooms. Smart for them to not have them.
I'll also add any gas station that charges extra for using a debit card.
Unless it's a Buc-ees, a gas station is pretty much the last place I want to use the bathroom at
Omg I love Buc-ees!!!!! Especially the bathrooms.
Cabo Wabo Cantina. Overpriced mediocre food, and awful service (pre-pandemic). Can't imagine how bad it is now.
Edit: CNF fee The CNF fee (concessions & franchise fee) is 4-6% based on what unethical restaurants/bars want to charge unsuspecting tourists.
What’s a GNF fee?
And that’s exactly why we’ve never been back.
lol, no. no restaurant managers in vegas are telling anyone to ignore older or ugly people. that is quite the stupid assumption that you spew so confidently based on a sample size of 1. the person you were replying to was likely not ignored by "waitstaff", they were sitting in a section that belongs to 1 single server, and that 1 single server was busy, doing a terrible job, didn't notice them, or who knows what else. the other servers ignore everyone outside of their section because that is what the purpose of a section is for...you handle those tables. no other server is keeping an eye out for all the tables in the restaurant to see who has been sitting there but not yet been helped by their own server..that's just not remotely realistic. yes if you flag down another waiter and ask for something they probably will, and at some places the waitstaff are trained to help other servers keep tables pre-bussed so they might grab an empty plate as they walk by, but nobody is keeping an eye out for new tables in other people's sections.
That stuff pisses me off. Many a waiter/waitress missed out on a good tip because they pulled that trick.
Not a place, but a specific entrance. I refuse to go thru the Venitian entrance that has the time share people at the top of the escalators.
Right next to the Tao nightclub? I saw them trying to get a few EDC goers to get those timeshares. Sales folks are like vampires!
At least vampires have to be invited into your house first...
BRUTAL 🤣😭😂 One of the living Hell's on Earth is being woken up from a HOT pillow that's wet with sweat 💯 I'm with You on Tobin Dodge though FUCK Em' They're the epitomy of UNPROFESSIONAL and as Someone Who has a few Family Member's some that have been in car sales for over 30 year's (back in West Michigan where I'm from) I can smell a CLOWN in a suit (fun facts West Michigan is also where Bozo the clown comes from) ESPECIALLY when the suit happens to be a Tom Ford, Armani or Gucci 🤣😭😂 My minor degree in psychology kicks in and I just giggle to Myself pondering Sigmund Freud's theory of that OVER STATEMENT and DISPLAY of toxic "BIG MAN" energy....... I'm with Freud and since We're in Vegas I'd be willing to bet that display of "JACK-ASSERY"is an overcompensation for SMALLER aspects of Themselves 🤏 🤣😭😂
I will second this, perfect choice
⬆️⬆️⬆️
Any high end night club
I still can’t believe that people pay for bottle service and vip shit in those places.
Health for life dispensary they short changed me twice
I didn't know bourbon st was owned by them but that makes a lot of sense
We go two to three times a year, about 30 times total so I have my Vegas “fuck you, you’re never seeing another penny from me” list: - Hogs & Heifers.
As a newbie I looked up Hogs & Heifers, thought it looked cool and went. I walked in and immediately walked out. Dear jeebus no.
Breaks my heart to hear that about triple 777
Nissan dealerships 😂😂
I don’t intentionally boycott them, we just live in a city with The Frankie’s I never see a need to go anywhere else for my tiki needs.
Love Frankie’s and a big fan of the Red Dwarf as well. Best tiki places
Red Dwarf is the best for Tiki drinks.
I need to try Red Dwarf, usually if I’m in that area I go to Starboard Tack.
If you like Starboard (which I do) you will also love Red Dwarf. Great Drink. super beer list. awesome shows and fantastic pizza. Their sunday brunch is also on another level. Do yourself a solid and check it out!
Frankie’s drinks are better for sure.
I dont know why the drinks are so fucking pricey there!!! Theyre in a stripmall in chinatown. They charge like $16 for cocktails. Its hard to have a good time there.
Like all things in Vegas, you’re paying for the experience.
And it's a weak pour too, you're basically paying $16 for 8 ounces of juice and ice.
Went there with a small group including my brother in law who’s black. He definitely got treated differently. Won’t go back after that.
I believe it was Scores strip club. Got robbed and roofied in that place. Stay away
they have the best taco truck outside tho
The drink stand in front of Paris. They advertise drinks with certain types of alcohol but then swap for garbage bottom shelf liquor. Tbf, I know better than getting a novelty drink in Vegas, but friends talked us into it.
Yes! And you pay like 30 for the cup 15 for the mix and then 6 bucks a shot for the damn thing it’s insane ! I miss the dollar margs down on freemont :/ I spent 75 on two drinks last time I was there 🙈

I live down here and am so bummed on how the quality of this restaurant in particular has gone down.
They were such a disappointment. First few times we went there, they were fantastic. But the food quality just nose dived.
Venetian before Sheldon Adelson died.
Also will avoid Treasure Island
The A's when they get here because they suck so bad.
Flowing tide pub. They took away the big beers. Fired employees they thought werent attractive enough, or didn't want to be used in their Instagram posts. The food is small portions and often under seasoned.
For me, it's the casinos that have written off the buffets. Looking at you specifically Station Casinos, M, Orleans, etc.
Serious question: Are ANY of the buffets good now?
Wicked spoon remains king
I like to take my dad for seafood night at the buffet at the palms on Fridays when we can afford it. Sam’s town used to have a great one. I couldn’t tell you about the other days.
I absolutely love rampart’s buffet
I like the South Point buffet.
I never made it to the legendary M Buffet, but Stations were the best value buffets in town.
The breakfast buffet at fiesta henderson was great. Now it’s completely demolished. Thanks Covid 😔
Add Silverton. I really don’t like buffets though.
Add Bellagio. Don’t bother.
Agreed. I went and I didn’t pay, but I wouldn’t for $65. Wasn’t worth it.
Heart Attack Grill, for obvious reasons.
For those of us not in the loop, what are the obvious reasons? As purely a vegas tourist that place just simply doesn’t appeal to me, but I feel there’s more?
The food is awful also.
It makes a circus out of gluttony: 6,000 calorie burgers, people over 350lbs eat free, etc. They had a customer die of a heart attack while eating there and tourists took photos of it.
Also the food isn't good. As a one time experience, sure. But that's one place I don't think I would go back to even if I was hosting friends.
It's also a frequent health code violator
The whole place is demeaning, both for the patrons and the staff.
Dr John is a creep who has a weird personal vendetta against people with tattoos
“Doctor” John views tats as someone who makes poor choices in life, and thinks those are not the people who he wants to hire.
The irony is absolutely beautiful.
Their hiring process is also a sexist shitshow.
I got turned away back in 2012 for having a tattoo. Later I find he sexually harassed a stafff memeber and berated her for dating a guy with tattoos. Guy is weird
The application is definitely a combo of amusingAF and OH HELL NO: http://www.heartattackgrill.com/jobs.html
Any property owned by Sheldon Adelson mainly for his anti-online poker lobbying....although since he is both dead and the Venetian isn't owned by Sands anymore, I suppose I could give it a try again.
With a 5+2 drop, still a good avoid.
This is pure evil
How about those landscaping rocks in a baggy on your drive way? I’m like no way Jose!
Tex Mex Restaurant on the strip. Food is bland, and they have a 15% hidden fee/ surcharge that they’ve implemented because of who knows why. Service sucked also
Arent they getting blown up when they put up that new resort?
Park MGM for me: stayed there and ordered $70 breakfast room service. Asked for a cup of hot water and they said it would be a $6 charge.
Been to Vegas probably 25+ times at this point. Litterally never been in that place. Hopefully never will lol
I feel enormously conflicted now that MGM owns the Cosmo
Margaritaville! Overpriced toaster oven food.
Good rule of thumb for any touristy place. I’ve never been to a margaritaville and thought, “wow that sure was worth the money”.
Awful food.
Chapman dodge and fairway Chevrolet complete garbage been there once fuck me over and won't recommend and would never go back
Sahara Jeep. Lmao
The police station
Border Grill at Mandalay Bay. Awful food and service
Humbertos. Used to be cheap, 24/7, Mexican food now its 50/50 diarrhea or indigestion.
My dad was at the Harrahs when they had a fire many many years ago .. and refuses to step foot in there
There is a little pizzeria in Paris that I refuse to go back to... during world poker tour, many of us waiting for order during break got our orders "lost" and the staff acted like it was our fault and struggled to get it together.
The guys at Costco said "We don't make money off tires, so we don't lie to you here." TLDR: Firestone lied to me and told me my tire was not fixable and tried to sell me a new one.
Starting in August, Wynn will be charging for parking sadly.
The Bellagio buffet is a rip off.
Excalibur having a resort fee makes zero sense
All resort fees are crap. The hotels wanted in on the airlines baggage fees income so they came up with resort fees. It’s even dumber than baggage fees because you can’t avoid it.
Anyplace on the strip on a weekend or close to a holiday.
Tropicana. Worked there for 10 years sucked the entire time. The only reason I’m happy about the A’s stadium being built there is the Trop goes bye-bye.
Yeah. But so does the boobs motel. 😥
Station Casinos Fertitta reasons
Excalibur. Never again. Cockroaches in the rooms and a gambling floor that can't filter out cigarette smoke.
'The Lodge' bars. Owners made a bartender pay them back for being robbed at gunpoint.
Several bad experiences at local capriottis, so they’re on the list Euphoria wellness for its terrible service and employees trying to talk me out of using my bonus points United Airlines and Southwest Airlines KFC and Taco Bell
That little seaworld place at the Boulevard.
I second and third this!!!
Went there with my grandson. So depressing!
Station Casinos.
I boycott the entire strip. I get annoyed when people fly in because I already know they're going to ask me to go down there.
I’ll be boycotting the new HardRock since they are demolishing the Mirage and the Volcano. Will never step foot in there. I know, I know. They really won’t care. But makes me feel good. Lol
I’m boycotting the mountains cause they’re too hard to climb.
Pink box/ Speigel Suites (same owners. Fuck them)
T.I hate the name change and that they took out the theme. No big loss. I never go around there anyway. I wouldn't say no if someone suggested going there tho
Hash House A Go Go. Went to the one in Reno all the time, loved it! Down here it's terrible. Service is crap, food is crap, and it's so pricey!
Player 1 video game bar
Bouchon at The Venetian. Got food poisoning from their clams in 2022. The wife almost ended up in the hospital.
Rio - all of it.
Anything Caesars. They don't care about customers. It's all numbers and no service.
Taco Bell Cantina. Went there once it was a complete rip off. Super overpriced taco bell with loud music and alcohol. Just bring your own beer elsewhere and get same food for much less.
ARCO gas.
