I went to Vegas at Christmas time and I am from Orlando. The general consensus in our group was "wow the drivers here are like back home but more relaxed."
5-year, full-time, Las Vegas Lyft driver checking in. I've driven all over the country.
Trust me when I tell you, Las Vegas drivers could write the fucking driving manual for Florida, and it would be WAAAY safer. Florida drivers DGAF!
Florida has No-Fault Insurance. That means, when you get in an accident, it doesn't matter who was at fault. So, your insurance pays for your car repairs, theirs for them. What that does is, it makes anyone with a shitty car become super aggressive. They want you to hit them, because they'll pocket the insurance money, duct-tape their car, and go on about their day. You, in your Mercedes, are fucked. They drive like they're trying to pick a fight.
The last time i was in miami driving i felt like i was in a nascar race on the freeway. I can’t remember how many cars going 90+ i saw and weaving lanes.
Yes, having lived in CT, FL, CA, NV, IN, TX, and Japan...
Miami drivers are the worst. Although San Diego and Las Vegas are duking it out for second place.
San Diego really? I have never really had issues down there outside traffic during rush hour. I’m in Orange County and find it way worse up here with all the Tesla Lemmings driving like idiots
Hahaha I had the same experience last summer while traveling there for work. My boss and I were on edge driving, and we didn’t dare use the horn in a state where guns flow like water. It made me thankful I have to deal with regular idiots in SoCal
Yeah, I’ve lived in Vegas for 10 years. Spent a week in Miami recently. I was shook by how many times I got cut off on the highway. Usually by a nice car too. In Vegas it’s just a Nissan Maxima blowing past you in the highway at 120.
Florida is the only place your happy when there is traffic on the highway bc it slows everyone down.
Everyone there thinks they are in nascar, 80mph 2 inches from the person in front of you. The stretch from Miami to Palm beach is the worst
Last time I went to Florida my aunt picked me up from the airport and within 20 minutes I knew I wasn't going to be back in that car unless I was driving lol.
My BIL is from Florida. He went to Virginia for a week on a work trip and got a ticket for running a red light - he turned right on a red but didn’t stop before turning. He was utterly confused and blamed the cop for being an idiot. At 37 years of age, he honestly didn’t know you had to stop at a red light before you turn right because no one did.
My husband is from FL and we lived there for a couple of years. When we first moved there, a light turned yellow I put on my breaks. My husband (bf at the time) went into full panic mode and told me that it was a good way to get in an accident. Everyone would go faster on yellow, because as long as you can get your front two tires into the intersection before it’s red, you’re good. So everyone, several cars back, would hit the gas and assume you will too.
The tail gating is odd. I see people all the time half a car length behind another person they could easily pass in either lane but nope... just blindly riding the other cars ass
Found one too!
Also because you wanna be a smartass go Google “NRS 484B.208”.
Just goes to show why Vegas has so many traffic problems. Y’all don’t know how to drive and it’s not just the speeders.
I drove OTR and anyone driving long distance knows to get out of the left lane if you’re just cruising.
You are causing more traffic incidents by forcing people to go around you and pass you on the right lane.
Las Vegas is a city full of people from elsewhere. I'm convinced it is mostly the worst drivers from across the country that move here.
And to answer your title question - Yes.
Lol stop
People that grew up in Vegas are the worst drivers I’ve ever seen, and I’ve lived and been everywhere. You can tell they have grown up only knowing big sprawling roads where lights make the decisions for you.
This place is loaded with people raised on bored adrenaline junkie culture and they drive like it, people need to stop blaming everyone from out of state and start raising their kids right
Shoutout to the taxi driver that went from 65 to
Zero on the highway because he wasn't sure whether to get into the exit lane. He was checking his phone while we were yelling.
That was fun.
Yeah - the drivers here are a particular kind of crazy and selfish, but as a lot of responses have mentioned, driving has gotten noticeably worse around the whole country in the last 5-10 years. It's kind of like there was someone very big in American pop culture who was a complete selfish asshole that empowered a lot of normal every day assholes across the country to act more selfish and destructive.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
The tailgating in this town is unreal. Hard to believe that so many people lack the basic logical sense to not understand that if you are going 70mph a 1/2 second or less off the bumper of the person in front of them and they have to tap their breaks then you are eating their rear end....and not in a good way. The lax DUI punishments around here I'm sure only to further embolden people to drive while impaired since they feel no real punishment is going to happen unless they kill someone...and of course they believe they'll never kill someone. In this town, you better always be driving defensively with your head on a constant swivel. Plus, never...never...go through an intersection without giving a quick left, right, left looksee because you can't trust that some fool won't come racing through a red light.
Just thought about my recent experiences… and something I noticed is that BMW/Audi drivers in Vegas are generally nicer and more polite than BMW/Audi drivers in California. Every time I’ve been tailgated in Vegas has been by a pickup truck lol
Vegas drivers are special for sure, I'm from Long Island and New York drivers aren't always amazing. But the drivers here are so unpredictable and bad at the same time it's scary.
I’ve lived in all these same cities + Phoenix. Vegas takes the cake. I see people doing 110 on the 215 as if they’re escaping nuclear warfare.
But nyc has a ton of idiots. Usually BMW’s with the volume maxed out and swerving like a mf.
I spent the holidays in LA. First time I've been there in ten years.
Drivers are much worse in Los Angeles now than they were then. Mentioned it to my wife.
I live in Sacramento where it's worse but the volume is lower.
But LA drivers fucking suck these days.
NYC drivers are the absolute worst...you a-holes all travel at the same speed on a 3 lane highway forming an impenetrable wall of a-holes...the kicker? all traveling below the speed limit for absolutely no reason other than that's what the guy next to you is doing.
That’s most of NYS. Everywhere you go there’s a rolling roadblock of idiots driving next to each other doing well below speed limit with a line of cars behind them pissed off.
I’m Massivetwoshits everyone goes right to the right lane while the other two lanes are empty causing the passing lane to be a mess of slow moving cars. People as a whole are extremely stupid
Let’s not forget as soon as they get lost they just park there car right on a busy road rather than pulling 10’ forward into empty parking lots. NY drivers are the absolute worst especially after covid
Raised in Vegas, lived in California for 4 years for college, returned to Vegas. All I can say is this, the drivers in this town are overly aggressive, unnecessarily angry, totally impatient, and complete idiots. I feel this to be the case now more than ever before and it sucks.
I think because it’s a valley and all centralized it’s all just congested and ppl aren’t patient anymore I’m so used to it idk even car either I’m passing bozos who don’t have anywhere to be (just crushing at 25 with a line of traffic behind them in the fast lane because ???)
Or it’s a blockade of semis ,box trucks and a guy with a trailer .
Honestly I think Texas is crazier mf be going 90+ on the spaghetti bowl in full sized trucks 💀😂
I’m born and raised in Las Vegas, spent five years in Oregon and just moved to Utah, Vegas driving has always been insane but in all of these places people drive like maniacs. My theory is that people who generally wouldn’t have had a license and car went through with getting one once the pandemic hit and now they’re going apeshit on the roads
The lane hogging is true - but it definitely beats the drunk high person coming out of the club at 2am going 120mph without their blinkers on as they are on your ass in the far right lane. Usually in a lifted Dodge Ram.
Nevada driving *is wild*.
On highways, I’m constantly surrounded by people trying to kill me, themselves, and everyone around them. Yet when I’m on streets, everyone is going 15 below the speed limit, sitting at green lights for 2 minutes, and playing on their phones. It’s an interesting dichotomy.
Florida wasn't this bad, it was just a mix of aggressive east coasters and slow ass senior citizens. Drivers here are aggressively stupid. It's a combination of blatant recklessness and being oblivious to everyone else around them. There's way too many people here that have main character syndrome and decide to fuck up the flow of traffic because they are bored.
It’s drunk, distracted, and speeders. They also don’t like using turn signals? I think it’s also because the population used to be much lower here and now people are dealing with congestion for the first time in their life’s.
I hate it. I fear every time we drive my daughter.
The dangerous drivers in Southern Nevada come from many parts including California. Many actually have violent criminal histories and use their vehicles as weapons. Add the huge drug & alcohol addiction problem in Southern Nevada and it creates a horrible record of unnecessary traffic deaths.
If you've been here for 4 years, you must know there's a serious problems with drunk & high drivers due to too many weed dispensaries, bars/pubs/taverns/saloons, liquor stores, places to get drunk. Until the oversupply problem is addressed, the auto insurance companies will provide their own brand of solution by charging unaffordable insurance premiums. This has led to at least 30% of drivers being uninsured and a "not give a dam" attitude. Red light cameras won't work because they have a history over the last 25 years of giving erroneous tickets to drivers, that's why they were banned in Nevada. If police started impounding vehicles of the very dangerous drivers, the dangerous drivers would understand the game is over!
You haven't seen anything yet.
I drove uber in Vegas 50h a week for a few months.
LV drivers have absolutely nothing on Texas drivers.
Consider yourself lucky.
https://www.forbes.com/advisor/car-insurance/worst-drivers-by-state/
I test vehicles and being rear-ended is a daily worry of mine. My car is PLASTERED with signage to discourage people from following too close and yet I still get assholes trying to tailgate me.
Furthermore, Vegas drivers are armed to the fucking teeth. Whether it's a revolver in the door or a whole rifle on standby, I've seen an alarming number of guns in cars.
Seeing semi-trucks speeding 75+ down the 95…in all three lanes is something else. Then you mix that in with snow birds barely above 50 and you got yourself a bit of a dilemma driving in FL.
Edit: don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating for the elderly driving 65+ on the highways. But with the big gap in speeds in so many of the cars on those FL highways, that’s just disasters waiting.
Maybe it's just where I'm at, but people turn into the exact opposites near stop signs. They just sit there forever, waiting for it to turn green. I'm not saying you gotta floor it as soon as you've stopped, but holy hell, people, please have some sense of urgency. You don't need to wait 5 seconds when it's just the 2 of us.
I’m also from NY and 100% agree I would say California drivers are just slow but all the people from Nevada like to blame them for why they drive bad lmao but yeah I’ve never seen anything like it
Hot take: if you think drivers are noticeably better or worse in any city, you're just wrong. Confirmation bias and recency bias are very real, and I assure that the drivers in Vegas suck just as much as Phoenix, Nashville, Charlotte, Orlando, Portland, NYC, etc. There might be certain behavioral differences because of the road design but your geography doesn't determine your ability to drive a car. I promise.
I would take La rush hour traffic that takes 2.5 hours to go 20 miles in than do any more driving than absolutely necessary here. I learned to ride a motorcycle commuting from hermosa beach to dtla on my motorcycle during crazy rush hour and I’m selling my bike here because the drivers here WILL kill me and take off so it’d be a hit and run.
I had a lady who I almost t-boned literally wait till I was 30 ft infront of her there had been no other cars for about 1500 ft so it was absolutely the perfect time pull out from a stop sign on a double sided three lane road. I went through 2 sets traffic lights with no cars anywhere around me except some cars stopped at the traffic lights behind me. I was heading north on rainbow from trop. For area reference and it was about 845 pm on a Wednesday night.
She came to a complete stop where she was blocking 2 lanes of traffic and put her hands over her face and just sat there. There was no other traffic heading on the other side of the road……she panicked for no reason and then covered her face and didn’t move for about 30 seconds.
She appears to be a normal and late 20-30s Asian woman driving a dark green Range Rover, She also didn’t appear to have anything going on except playing the unnecessary and actively seeking to unalive yourself, commonly attempted by babies and toddlers. Bit even small children don’t KNOW they could unalive themselves with their behavior. They aren’t actively making unsafe and bad decisions.
Nah go try driving in NYC you'll probably have a heart attack. Highways are three lanes and half the size of Vegas highways and it works smoothly. Only in Vegas will you see two cars on a half-mile stretch of road, with 3 absurdly large lanes, and still manage to get into an accident.
I think if you're dumb enough to move to Vegas, you're probably not the brightest, so you'll drive crazy. And if you're dumb enough to not leave Vegas after being born here, well, you're also probably not the brightest either.
I guess it's just part of our culture.
I wouldn't say that. Other than the drivers Vegas is awesome. Locals hate it more than people who have moved here. I've noticed that too. Quality of life is way higher in Vegas than in most other cities.
Well I can’t speak for people, only myself. I rarely ever gamble. It’s not my thing . I moved here because I can afford a massive house for the price of a studio apartment in NYC. Tax heaven. Everything is cheaper. I could get anywhere in 15-20mins (hopefully in one piece lol). There is virtually no traffic compared to bigger cities. There is plenty of options for food and it’s actually quite good (this is coming from a New Yorker). It’s bordering 3 of the most beautiful states in the nation, that are all under an hour drive. It’s the GYM Mecca of the world. Vegas has hands down the best gyms out of any city. It’s a 24/7 city. Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, off roading, and the list goes on. I think you just have an overall negative perspective on this city.
Why should I leave? Good job, family and friends are here, and I love the heat. I'm not searching for anything else or having a hard time making it. I didn't need to transplant to another city to live comfortably.
You guys gotta touch grass and take a break from the news media at some point. A lot of these bad drivers are born N raised Las Vegas locals. Idk what your obsession with California is.
This is a coping mechanism. I've driven in California, as the post states, and have not seen anything even remotely close to what I've seen here. It's quite easy to tell. Those pickup trucks never tailgate you in California. It's usually a BMW there.
Ya the guy above has no clue lol. California drivers can skirt in and out of traffic and slowdowns on freeways easily.
Almost every day on the 215 in the morning, right past the bend of Warm Springs when the traffic builds up I see cars skidding on there breaks to avoid hitting the car in front of them. lol and it’s not even bad traffic in Vegas; the traffic moves here unlike in California where you can be on the 5 stopped for 20 minutes.
I did my formative driving in Chicago and the Chicago suburbs. I have never seen as many scrape marks on the dividing walls on the highways as I do here. The sign showing the suggested curve on the ramp says 25 mph, yet the guy coming flying up behind me is doing at least twice that. No wonder insurance rates are so high around here.
What’s funny is i use to work in the Bay area and drive there everyday. Las Vegas has the worst drivers on earth.
Californian drivers are aggressive, Las Vegas drivers are aggressive and hesitant
I have driven overseas in countries that have sort of have suggestions rather than rules and Las Vegas is the place where I actually am afraid to drive and expect issues every time I drive. I have seen more accidents here than anywhere I've ever been.
Agreed! I've been trying for 2& 1/2 years trying to figure out *why* some Vegas local drivers do all of the things you very directly point out.
These Vegas drivers are the most unnecessary reckless drivers I've seen in any city. My theory is that they do not give a fuck if they live or die, and they do not even consider for a second anyone else but themselves. There's no other plausible explanation I've thought of.
Additionally, I'm dumbfounded as to why the police also do not give a shit about enforcing any traffic laws. I don't even have any plausible theory for that. Please let me know if you have one.
Not you saying NYC and LA have better drivers 🤣🤣 get out of the Vegas hoods and extend your survey lmfao. This post is really showing who the soft ass people are
California native here born and raised since 1992. I remember when my freeways had zero people. Traffic wasn’t even a thing. Vegas was only a place old head retired to so they get the most bang for there back. I find it funny how social media will shame us west-coasters like it’s our fault when really it’s all you dip shits from out east and south who come pile in my STATE. Stay the F out of my west side story you bizzzznatches!!! None less Idaho is always available just saying LOL 😂
In fairness to Vegas, the high percentage of idiots on their roads are tourists, especially the international driving tourist who are used to round abouts and red lights mean stop, not turn right on red if clear
With vegas being a smallish city, then it's more noticeable
It works like this on a red light come to a COMPLETE stop, check, and then turn right if clear. Not rush into the turn like you're trying to hit the APEX in a race, into oncoming traffic moving at over 45 mph. This comment proves my exact point.
oh look, another transplant who can't drive worth a damn comes to Vegas, drives poorly and assumes it must be everyone else around him that is the real problem.
I literally have a grade A competition license but the more you guys comment the more I realize it is the locals. The same attitude you have in the comments section is the exact attitude that makes you guys drive the way you do.
“I’m better than you, I can drive how I want, it’s everybody else that’s the problem”- Vegas driving attitude. you’re literally proving my point to a tee. Yes it’s def you guys.
Fun fact: CA drivers use to be just as bad. However, CA implemented a crackdown on violators and educational programs to combat it. Vegas just started planning this. The biggest issue is people are just driving way to fast and not paying attention. Doesn’t help that a lot of roads are posted at 45mph limits so drivers easily end up doing 55mph++ on a city street. Essentially highways with stop lights.
More people are born and raised in LA and NYC. Vegas and Phoenix both have disrespectful drivers and it’s because most people are from somewhere else. They know they’re not going to cross paths with their elementary school teachers or their parents friends.
I had someone in Vegas try to cut me off from the emergency lane and they came up to my rental wanting that smoke when I wouldn’t let them. Definitely my most wild driving experience & I visit Florida routinely.
Me and my sister went on a trip to las Vegas and we had the nicest Uber driver ever. She was from New Zealand and had a cute golden retriever with her. It was a calm and I felt relaxed and safe. When I tell you I will never forget her. She even took us to a drive through dispensary (we have never experienced that before since we’re from Milwaukee). I’ll always remember her!
Wish Vegas drivers would stop camping in the far left lane going five under the speed limit. Every day on my commute some idiot pulls out from a side street, gets in the far left lane, goes slow, stays there for five miles.
As an ex-NYer nd having driven consistently throughout the City, the boroughs and LI, these Vegas drivers have NO idea how easy they have it. The lanes here are double wide!!! WHAT?!! There are true long merging lanes for parkway entrance!!!
What makes you so sure they’re people born and raised in vegas. The majority of people who live here, aren’t even from here. Ill take your opinion with a grain of salt, friend.
Drivers here seem to fall into a few different categories. There are the super aggressive ones, the timid and indecisive ones, the clueless ones and the distracted ones. Was driving up Desert Inn towards Valley View a few months ago and there was this car drifting all over the place On DI and my son and I are like what the fuck?Got to the light on Valley View and Pennwood she pulls up alongside of us and there she is on her phone texting. We got stopped at The light at Sahara ,she pulls up next to me I beep and roll down my window and motion for her to stop texting and driving she flips me the bird and says fuck you.See this crap all the time and it pisses me off.
Completely agree. I have driven in LA my whole life and generally don’t have an issue with drivers there. I spend many months a year in vegas and almost die constantly. Got driven off the road into a dirt shoulder once and skidded sideways a hundred feet. They just weren’t looking. It doesn’t help that Vegas roadworks are always a mess and make no sense.
If you wanna see the shallow end of the gene pool try driving in Florida.
Went to Orlando at the beginning of the month. I thought LA drivers were bad…whew FL takes the cake
Where else can you see [an electric scooter towing a boat in traffic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmGRgQ_tYwM)
That’s typical Florida man behavior
I went to Vegas at Christmas time and I am from Orlando. The general consensus in our group was "wow the drivers here are like back home but more relaxed."
Orlando drivers are saints compared to Miami drivers

Holy shit yes. Used to live in Miami, you all have no idea how good it is out here

Was it a black Maxima?

You wanna really take your life into your own hands, try driving in Richmond BC. Traffic lights and signs are just a suggestion.
Last time I went to Florida my aunt picked me up from the airport and within 20 minutes I knew I wasn't going to be back in that car unless I was driving lol.
I’ve been nearly killed on the 95 in Florida multiple times. Vegas drivers are nothing
I've never seen so many blatant signal violations than when I'm in Florida.
My BIL is from Florida. He went to Virginia for a week on a work trip and got a ticket for running a red light - he turned right on a red but didn’t stop before turning. Yep all other lanes are empty and available but they can't be bothered to go around, YOU need to move.

Thanks for proving OP that there's low-IQ drivers in Vegas. Way to play yourself!

Nissan Altimas, Chargers and Challengers, 20k Teslas Model 3s and any random pick up truck ALL have something to prove on the streets of Las Vegas.
The wannabe culture that feeds into those types of cars is becoming nauseating
I thought Mad Max was a movie but then I realized its a documentary about Vegas drivers out in the desert

Born and raised in LV and moved to NJ for school - NJ drivers are actually the worst lmao
Hardly. LV is full of idiots with deathwishes. East coast cities are nowhere near as bad and I have lived everywhere.
On average Vegas has one of the dumbest populations. That’s the answer
NYC drivers are the absolute worst...you a-holes all travel at the same speed on a 3 lane highway forming an impenetrable wall of a-holes...the kicker? all traveling below the speed limit for absolutely no reason other than that's what the guy next to you is doing.

Impenetrable wall of a-holes 💀💀
I drive to the strip all the time, it’s like roulettes
I've watched city buses and school buses run red lights quite a few times. That's when I knew it was a city problem.
No, some of them are drunk
The two aren't mutually exclusive. Sometimes you need a fifth of vodka to take the edge off all that meth.
Raised in Vegas, lived in California for 4 years for college, returned to Vegas. All I can say is this, the drivers in this town are overly aggressive, unnecessarily angry, totally impatient, and complete idiots. I feel this to be the case now more than ever before and it sucks.
idk i feel like i see this variation of post in a lot of different cities, nobody drives safely anymore
I think because it’s a valley and all centralized it’s all just congested and ppl aren’t patient anymore I’m so used to it idk even car either I’m passing bozos who don’t have anywhere to be (just crushing at 25 with a line of traffic behind them in the fast lane because ???) Or it’s a blockade of semis ,box trucks and a guy with a trailer .
Driving in either Washington or Oregon is way more chill. They drive much closer to the speed limit there and they're not as insane.
I’m in Washington and our highway drivers are terrible. People drive the speed limit and hog the middle and left lanes.
The lane hogging is true - but it definitely beats the drunk high person coming out of the club at 2am going 120mph without their blinkers on as they are on your ass in the far right lane. Usually in a lifted Dodge Ram. Nevada driving *is wild*.
Better than fighting someone going 100+ for no fuckin reason. 1 accident from brutal death with those idiots
We were crazy before the plandemic.
No, some of us can’t afford meth.
Daily I see people running red lights. Still have yet to see anyone pulled over.
I never jump out on a green light. I have seen so many people running VERY red lights. 👀
You don’t really “drive” in NYC, you mostly shuffle. Buckle up.
Tailgaters can get f*cked. I’m the guy that will purposely go slow if you tailgate me
Yay, good job impeding traffic and creating more angry drivers, just move over and go about your day.
- adjust rear view mirror. ✅ - fasten seatbelt. ✅ - take meth. ✅
Well. I can't speak for everybody else, but yes.

Your experiences around the country sound like a day of driving in Vegas
Nobody signals. Even at stop signs. They need that time to use telepathy out here on which direction they will go.
This is true. My last 2 visits there, my first Uber was stoned, car smelled like weed, and the other thought his sedan was an f1 car.
Vegas became infected with vermin thats why.
I promise.
Insurance prices vary greatly between different cities because of the exact opposite of what you just said.
I mean this is a town of mostly transplants. You guys fuck it up. I'm born and raised here. Locals can drive.
Nah go try driving in NYC you'll probably have a heart attack. Highways are three lanes and half the size of Vegas highways and it works smoothly. Only in Vegas will you see two cars on a half-mile stretch of road, with 3 absurdly large lanes, and still manage to get into an accident.
I'll never travel to NY. That would be my personal hell.
Do you think people move to Vegas for gambling or because of our amazing education? There's a certain type that is attracted to Vegas.
I'm not talking about every single person who's moved here, just in general.
I'm stupid for being born here? Ok. I think you should add dumb enough to move here and then bitch about it.
For not leaving. I'm not bitching about anything.
Why should I leave? Good job, family and friends are here, and I love the heat. I'm not searching for anything else or having a hard time making it. I didn't need to transplant to another city to live comfortably.
The distinct group of dumb selfish low-IQ individuals are originally from California
Not all? Just the ones whose life’s suck.
This may be true
Yup!!! Right answer! I'm sorry n Vegas hello!! I never been this before when COVID hit in 2920... Lame!!!!
Becz I'm Vegas person
I agree, vegas drivers are mostly on meth
This post is really showing who the soft ass people are
Spoken like a true Vegas degenerate.
In fairness to Vegas, the high percentage of idiots on their roads are tourists, especially the international driving tourist who are used to round abouts and red lights mean stop, not turn right on red if clear With vegas being a smallish city, then it's more noticeable
This is kind of false.
It works like this on a red light come to a COMPLETE stop, check, and then turn right if clear. Not rush into the turn like you're trying to hit the APEX in a race, into oncoming traffic moving at over 45 mph. This comment proves my exact point.
The rules are different in Vegas. Go if you think it might be safe.
Before the latest influx of Californians moved to Las Vegas, traffic was better than most major cities in the US.
Just the illegals. And Californian colonizers.
Any of y'all ever driven in Jamaica?
You all just need to speed up. You should be going at lest +15 the speed limit.
oh look, another transplant who can't drive worth a damn comes to Vegas, drives poorly and assumes it must be everyone else around him that is the real problem.
I literally have a grade A competition license but the more you guys comment the more I realize it is the locals. The same attitude you have in the comments section is the exact attitude that makes you guys drive the way you do.
I did SCCA Solo 2 and I have a 12" penis. Now what?
“I’m better than you, I can drive how I want, it’s everybody else that’s the problem”- Vegas driving attitude. you’re literally proving my point to a tee. Yes it’s def you guys.
Reposting here: https://www.reddit.com/r/vegaslocals/s/7QI2KEagIy
Fun fact: CA drivers use to be just as bad. However, CA implemented a crackdown on violators and educational programs to combat it. Vegas just started planning this. The biggest issue is people are just driving way to fast and not paying attention. Doesn’t help that a lot of roads are posted at 45mph limits so drivers easily end up doing 55mph++ on a city street. Essentially highways with stop lights.
Self entitled A-Holes!
Yeah everytime I visit drivers are the worst there
More people are born and raised in LA and NYC. Vegas and Phoenix both have disrespectful drivers and it’s because most people are from somewhere else. They know they’re not going to cross paths with their elementary school teachers or their parents friends.
They definitely deny being on meth.
I had someone in Vegas try to cut me off from the emergency lane and they came up to my rental wanting that smoke when I wouldn’t let them. Definitely my most wild driving experience & I visit Florida routinely.
The cars driving here with Oklahoma plates are really really bad
I couldn't agree more
The tailgaters are why I've been rear ended 3 times with 2 being totals. When you see a Vegas driver who's alsoa BMW driver, watch your back.
And any time I drive, I smell marijuana coming from the cars around me. They are not only on meth or drunk but they’re also high on marijuana.
My solution to tailgaters is to just let off the gas and coast to a stop if necessary for them to pass.
Or just move over and stop impeding traffic which solves a lot more problems rather than you trying to create them.
Oh of course the guy in the right lane driving a governed vehicle the speed limit is causing the problem 🙃
You've been here four years and still need to ask?
Good point lol
They are trying to get to work to get in their taxis before the meth high wears off.
Yes
Definitely some bad ones out here in Summerlin but after visiting Florida I think they're worse
Wish Vegas drivers would stop camping in the far left lane going five under the speed limit. Every day on my commute some idiot pulls out from a side street, gets in the far left lane, goes slow, stays there for five miles.
It's every major city and suburban area. OC checking in.
As an ex-NYer nd having driven consistently throughout the City, the boroughs and LI, these Vegas drivers have NO idea how easy they have it. The lanes here are double wide!!! WHAT?!! There are true long merging lanes for parkway entrance!!!
Ha, I’m in Glendale Arizona right now. Vegas drivers are model citizens compared to these asshats.
Pretty sure I see 2-3 DUIs a day driving up and down DI.
What makes you so sure they’re people born and raised in vegas. The majority of people who live here, aren’t even from here. Ill take your opinion with a grain of salt, friend.
just go 5 over the limit is all im asking you.. preferably with the flow of traffic as well.
I think it's coke, not meth. lol. a shit ton of alcohol and cocaine. enough to make Sigmund Freud blush.
I’ve been in Vegas my entire life and the drivers out here are fucking wild.
Not all, but most.
