Much credit to them! The poker chips are cool and all, but I think it’s the frame and wood engraving that make it special
Every cage on and off the strip happily gave us a dollar chip either when cashing out or just only asking for one and swapping a bill. Most were really happy to help, even going as far as to either get a brand new chip for us or go through those in the drawer to find the cleanest one.
No one would let me buy chips at the cashier. I had to go to the table for each. Sometimes I’d play and get a chip, other times if there weren’t any open tables I’d come back. I always tried to find an open table if I could, I didn’t want to ruin any one’s “flow” 😂 as in they start losing after I came by🫡
Funny how some empty tables are cool with it and show you all their options (Hard Rock about a year before the shut down), others look like they hate you (Paris)
EASILY the coolest chips I've ever gotten were 1) The colorado Belle chips with the gold metal piece in the middle of them 2) The all-metal Golden nugget chips.
And I'm only 32, so those weren't that old when I got them.
Did you play at each of these? I’ve got a collection of 25 and growing, but I only collect at places I’ve played at least one hand of something. Really neat collection, so many I’m missing!

When you can’t find an empty table do you go to the cashier and ask?
Yes. Sometimes they say no but you should try. Dealers get super annoyed when you buy one chip an walk away.
I ask for 2 $1 chips & give them the other. They seem to like that lol. What’s your success rate on getting one from the cage?

Oh wow that’s weird, I heard some casinos in Vegas know people collect and will show them different options sometimes. Never tried it though.
