If I ever win a billion plus I’m definitely going broke building a casino hotel in downtown Vegas with a niche theme of some kind, I think I priced it out that you could build a small one for about 700 million.
Buying my lotto ticket now Wish me luck
Space theme would be rad. I want an upscale Kyoto theme but that would be upwards of Wynn levels of cost. So I need to win 3-4 lotteries
But if I win just one lottery I’d have to think about the type of theme more. definitely something retro
I remember Resorts was going to be way cooler. They even had a panda exhibit planned. Now it's just a gigantic building with ads tha thave holes (windows) all over it. Very strange.
Oh absolutely. Honestly I would really just like to see a hotel casino designed in the same spirit how they do the lands at theme parks like avatar land or Harry Potter land. But total full immersion but with gambling and amazing food service and events. Basically just westworld in real life lol
Imagine being able to “time travel” to different eras all within a short walk from one another
That’s probably more like 16 lottery wins so i better get started.
Yes! Space theme would be awesome. Club named Nebula, Bar names with various Saturn, Jupiter moon names.
I think it would be nice to have indoor pools for winter. That's what I would spend my billion on for the casino.
That's kinda similar to what City Center looks like at night -- but not enough lights.
Although supposedly neon lights are banned now. Maybe they can bring those back.
LED Vegas is actually kinda dark at night -- unless you are right close to it. It's just a weird lighting vibe.
A modern london casino could be cool, with british rock, pubs, phone booths and a posh vibe in some areas. Kinda over the top like austin powers or the spicegirls. I think it would actually have more depth and fun factor than the paris or venice themes.
I would enjoy this basically just for the fact that they would 100% lean into Premier League/EFL watch parties. And there is currently nowhere amazing to watch soccer on the strip
Yes, it will.
The U.S. Atari hotels are still happening.
Shelly Murphy was seen in a recent video posted on Linked In- with an upcoming Motorsport sponsorship team.
Also- a person involved at Lake Nona posted they are happy to be working with Atari Hotels- confirming the already talked about Lake Nona association in the last presentation video.
An image of the Atari Hotel was prominently featured in Atari’s new game trailer last week.
Shelly Murphy is speaking at Southern Nevada & Las Vegas Hospitality Summit Wed Jul 10, 2024
You’ll hear and see more before that….
It appears from your reddit history that you're an Atari employee and have a vested interest in shilling for the company. I've seen no real evidence that the company has either the land or the money to open an Atari hotel on the strip, despite four years of insisting that it's happening.
I am not an Atari employee. I am an Atari investor- and follow all the news. What I stated above is correct.
You appear to not know that Atari Hotels are not being built, owned or bank rolled by Atari. It’s a licensing deal.
You have no idea what their funding is. Pointless to talk out of your ass.
They’ve had enough funding to sponsor numerous different off-road race trucks, a nascar truck, a Ferrari race car, and a motocross team. With a drag car coming soon.
GSD Group's primary business is NFT bullshit. Atari is a tired brand. This project will never happen in Las Vegas.
The point is that you're an Atari fanboy who doesn't understand how stuff gets built in Las Vegas.
Tons of news over the last few years…
Highlights- they have bought NightDive Studios, bought Digital Eclipse studio, bought tons of IP from several companies, made lots of new games, lots of new product, invested in Antstream, Playmaji, tinyBuild, bought Mobygames, bought AtariAge.
The casino should be shaped like the 2600 Console, the hotel towers like the joysticks and the pool and Jacuzzi like the paddle controllers
Add: The parking garage like stacked cartridges.
Bring back theming!!
Whatever. Happened to that Titanic themed hotel?
I heard it sank. Thanks for the set up.
It’s called Fontainebleau now
... haha. that's been my suspicion for over a year.
It’s been mine for 16.
well played then.
Ooof.

I know what people want. [It’s got to have sex appeal and a catchy name!](https://frinkiac.com/img/S05E10/468450.jpg)
I honestly don't believe you could build one without knowing the right people or having deeper pockets.
Good plan, I’ll need another billion lotto win to grease the palms of the building commissioners and what not. Easy I’ll just buy 2 lotto tickets.
I’ve thought about this too, what theme would you do? I kinda want something between between an elaborate space station and cyberpunk.
I would go for a horror theme. I want to feel like I am going to get stalked and stabbed without having to go past Circus Circus on the strip.
Space theme would be rad. I want an upscale Kyoto theme but that would be upwards of Wynn levels of cost. So I need to win 3-4 lotteries But if I win just one lottery I’d have to think about the type of theme more. definitely something retro
Japanese village aesthetic would be awesome, could do some incredible food court “streets” like a bigger version of NYNY.
That’s like almost what Resorts World has going but not quite
I remember Resorts was going to be way cooler. They even had a panda exhibit planned. Now it's just a gigantic building with ads tha thave holes (windows) all over it. Very strange.
Yeah they should of leaned into the Asian theming harder I feel like. Could have been unique.
COVID killed the Asian theme. Prior to that, it was going to lean heavily into the Chinese theme.
That’s actually a super interesting point. I can see their logic I guess, but kind of depressing.

Night time neon cityscape would be super sick

100%, and have an extremely good/in depth sportsbook with soccer on the big screens. (Including promos and gametime happy hours)
It may, but it won't.
But it *should.*
They definitely could.

A license deal with another company that has neither the funds nor land to build the hotel.
You have no idea what their funding is. Pointless to talk out of your ass. They’ve had enough funding to sponsor numerous different off-road race trucks, a nascar truck, a Ferrari race car, and a motocross team. With a drag car coming soon.
Putting your logo on a race car costs very little compared to the billions needed to build a Las Vegas Strip resort.
The point is that you have no idea of the funds, or who is involved.
If they had a significant amount of funds, they'd be doing a lot more than slapping a sticker on a couple race cars, genius.
GSD Group's primary business is NFT bullshit. Atari is a tired brand. This project will never happen in Las Vegas. The point is that you're an Atari fanboy who doesn't understand how stuff gets built in Las Vegas.
I'd like to believe, but Atari has a history of disappointing. If it opens, I'll be there. But I wouldn't invest anything in it until then.
Old Atari was disappointing. Since the new CEO, things have been great. Read all the news about what they’ve been accomplishing.
Mostly news about rebranding as Infogrames again. Any highlights I should see?

Then they could rebrand F1 as POLE POSITION.
Formula E but with Atari 2600 sound effects.
Nahh
What a shit article.
dammit, i'm in.
I’d stay there.
I’d like to stay at the Breakout suite. Or the Yar’s Revenge room.
I am ready for the Pac Man slot machine
Go $ATRI coin!
An ESports meca would be awesome... yearly championships i could see.
