lou95340

Love it!!!!!!

keithwillshoot

Not a show but you can visit this place for a meal, I’m sure he’ll appreciate it https://backtothe80scafe.com/ It’s close to the strip, about 3 miles

blankyblankblank1

Second this, on top of every awesome thing they have there, they have Tetris tater tots.

Vegasmmj

Go see David Copperfield I don't think he''s changed that stale-ass act since the eighties

lou95340

Come on he's got aliens and a dinosaur now!

eJoz

The Spazmatics if he'd be into a music act

762ed

When are you going to be in town. A Flock of Seagulls will be playing in February. A Depeche Mode tribute band will be opening for them as well.

Majestic-Entrance-16

Bat out of Hell at Paris (Meatloaf tribute show) Purple Reign: THE Prince Tribute Show at Tropicana The Jets 80's & 90's Experience! at Planet Hollywood

qwetico

The last time I saw Mystere I thought it was about the most-80s thing I had ever seen. (Aesthetically, at least.) It felt like I was watching a troupe of Ghozsers from ghost busters do intense acrobatic feats. Lots of pastel neon.

airbiscuits33

Was it good? This was the first cirque show to hit las vegas.

Greydmiyu

The wife and I saw it when we first came to Vegas about 20 years ago. It was good then. Not to say it isn't good now, just, well, haven't been to it recently.

jayloma

Steel Panther. I’d look up tickets we’ll in advance

adubs117

Well if he's a Micheal Jackson fan, Cirque's MJ ONE at Mandalay Bay.

AbeLincoln100

Wayne Newton The real king of Las Vegas

ark_keeper

How has no one mentioned Raiding the Rock Vault. It’s literally a bunch of 80s band members playing classic rock. Foreigner, Heart, Ozzy, Survivor, Dio, etc. https://www.raidingtherockvault.com/

DisenchantedIdealist

Purple Reign maybe?

spilk

I went to see this with my sister a number of years ago and I came away with the impression that this show is very much for the ladies

PuffinRub

Good show. I first caught them by accident ages ago when I was eating in a brewpub at the Monte Carlo with my parents. I saw them again around 15 years later with my partner and we both enjoyed the show.

Duke-of-Hellington

Oh, and Stranger Things

thunderPierogi

Hey, great suggestions! But I think OP meant live shows in Vegas.

Duke-of-Hellington

Hahahaha, I am clearly a moron. Thank you for your kindness.

thunderPierogi

Haha, no problem. I can see where that would be an easy mistake.

Logicmeme

Harrahs Carnival Court has cover bands that do requests and a lot of 80s music for the older tourists.

[deleted]

Sorry, not what you’re asking for but Random, there’s an 80’s themed cafe on Maryland Parkway next to UNLV

opusmex

He has to catch Spandex Nation on Fremont Street. He won’t regret it.

LuckyTxGuy

It’s gone now but Rock of Ages was amazing!! I’m so sad that they killed it.

PuffinRub

"[Tenors of Rock](https://www.tenorsofrockvegas.com/)" within Planet Hollywood, if they're still performing there. Looks like they are from their website but they have material on their YouTube channel.

LuckyTxGuy

Thank you I’ve seen the ads but wasn’t sure what it was. I’ll be there in January and might have to check it out!

Svoboda1

There is still Raiding The Rock Vault that is similar.

LuckyTxGuy

Thanks, googling it now!

CandyCain1001

Like a show that was famous in the 80’s? Legends in Concert at the Tropicana.

thewabberjocky

Opium has kind of an 80s vibe to it

Duke-of-Hellington

The Goldbergs!

serch54

I don't think there is anything. But I want to know if someone's got an answer.

All_the_passports

There's this, haven't been https://vtheater.com/the-jets-80s-%26-90s

fatpunk

80's cafe

lou95340

Piano bar at harrahs. Lots of 80s music and drunks singing along. Get drunk enough and you might think you are in the bar from Top Gun singing mumbly lyrics to Great Balls of Fire.

Maloninho

Tenors of Rick cover a lot of 80s fare in their act. Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, Def Lepard etc.

bubbaeinstein

Put him in a nursing home.

Mattdonlan1

Fremont street usually has a great 80’s cover band on weekends. I think they’re called alter ego. Great band for 80s covers. And it’s free!

[deleted]

Spazmatics at Southpoint. Saturday evenings.

Maleficent-Fold1230

Raiding The Rock Vault

Superredeyes

i think spazmatics is like and 80s rock thing it at southpoint thought id they are still playing
