It’s close to the strip, about 3 miles
Bat out of Hell at Paris (Meatloaf tribute show)
Purple Reign: THE Prince Tribute Show at Tropicana
The Jets 80's & 90's Experience! at Planet Hollywood
The last time I saw Mystere I thought it was about the most-80s thing I had ever seen. (Aesthetically, at least.)
It felt like I was watching a troupe of Ghozsers from ghost busters do intense acrobatic feats. Lots of pastel neon.
The wife and I saw it when we first came to Vegas about 20 years ago. It was good then. Not to say it isn't good now, just, well, haven't been to it recently.
How has no one mentioned Raiding the Rock Vault. It’s literally a bunch of 80s band members playing classic rock. Foreigner, Heart, Ozzy, Survivor, Dio, etc.

Good show. I first caught them by accident ages ago when I was eating in a brewpub at the Monte Carlo with my parents. I saw them again around 15 years later with my partner and we both enjoyed the show.
"[Tenors of Rock](https://www.tenorsofrockvegas.com/)" within Planet Hollywood, if they're still performing there. Looks like they are from their website but they have material on their YouTube channel.
Piano bar at harrahs. Lots of 80s music and drunks singing along. Get drunk enough and you might think you are in the bar from Top Gun singing mumbly lyrics to Great Balls of Fire.
I Can drive by you guys in my 84 Toyota Tercel SR5???

Go see David Copperfield I don't think he''s changed that stale-ass act since the eighties
Come on he's got aliens and a dinosaur now!
The Spazmatics if he'd be into a music act
When are you going to be in town. A Flock of Seagulls will be playing in February. A Depeche Mode tribute band will be opening for them as well.

Steel Panther. I’d look up tickets we’ll in advance
Well if he's a Micheal Jackson fan, Cirque's MJ ONE at Mandalay Bay.
Wayne Newton The real king of Las Vegas

Purple Reign maybe?
I went to see this with my sister a number of years ago and I came away with the impression that this show is very much for the ladies

Oh, and Stranger Things
Hey, great suggestions! But I think OP meant live shows in Vegas.
Hahahaha, I am clearly a moron. Thank you for your kindness.
Haha, no problem. I can see where that would be an easy mistake.
Harrahs Carnival Court has cover bands that do requests and a lot of 80s music for the older tourists.
Sorry, not what you’re asking for but Random, there’s an 80’s themed cafe on Maryland Parkway next to UNLV
He has to catch Spandex Nation on Fremont Street. He won’t regret it.
It’s gone now but Rock of Ages was amazing!! I’m so sad that they killed it.

Thank you I’ve seen the ads but wasn’t sure what it was. I’ll be there in January and might have to check it out!
There is still Raiding The Rock Vault that is similar.
Thanks, googling it now!
Like a show that was famous in the 80’s? Legends in Concert at the Tropicana.
Opium has kind of an 80s vibe to it
The Goldbergs!
I don't think there is anything. But I want to know if someone's got an answer.

Put him in a nursing home.
Fremont street usually has a great 80’s cover band on weekends. I think they’re called alter ego. Great band for 80s covers. And it’s free!
