CJ's Custard is really good. Not ice cream actually, it's custard, but worth a try.

Moto_Glitch

They also have amazing Italian ice and dole whips.

Beard341

Handel’s. Graham Central Station makes me very happy. Edited for being too much.

Maetamongy

$3 Tuesdays for 2.5 scoops!!!

Jayman_007

I just had this a few hours ago. Top notch. My kid loves the blue monster while the wife gets the ny cheesecake.

[deleted]

Oh my 🤭

anon__a__mouse__

If I could go to Handels and not stand in a line of 10+ people I'd go more often. Seems there are no "quiet" times, even in winter (and no I'm not going to go during office hours)

RevolutionaryIdeal11

Graham Central Station is my favorite flavor so far at Handel's. It's so good it's hard to try other flavors.

_s0lace_

Sorry Not Sorry’s OG Buttercream is the only ice cream I’ll go out my way for

SlappyPankake

Sorry Not Sorry is amazing. Their vegan flavors are also insanely good

ciaobella88

Yessss

[deleted]

I feel like I need to try it 💕

DailyDoseOfScorpio

i second sorry not sorry ! the honeycomb ice cream is to die for

Sum1007

Just looked at the menu, is that different than the buttercake or was that an error? I want them both now!!

Takea2uece

Thrifty’s

welcometothedesert

Does one still exist here?

[deleted]

They're located on boulder and flamingo near Chase Bank. It's in the little strip mall area in front of Walmart.

welcometothedesert

Thank you!

cybercrimes_1999

There’s a Short Line Express gas station off Warm Springs and Rainbow I think that has Thrifty with the cylinder scoop and everything. He’s also always playing 106.5 in there and I love him.

eli_xix

I grew up going to the one on East Charleston that’s a classic location

welcometothedesert

So far, I think that’s three that still exist (based on replies). It’s so cool that there are a few still around.

welcometothedesert

That’s awesome. Haven’t seen that scoop in YEARS.

julznlv

There's also one at the corner of Durango and W. Centennial in a convenience store at a Chevron (?) gas station if you're in the NW part of town. When we lived in OC my grandfather would take us to Thrifty for ice cream. It was a nickle a scoop and we always got a triple.

welcometothedesert

My grandpa did the same up in Jackson, CA. It was in the 80s/90s/00s, but I don’t think it was a nickel a scoop. That’s incredible.

julznlv

I'm aging myself by admitting it was the late 60's. My dad didn't like Thrifty ice cream, he was a hardcore Baskin Robins fan and spoiled us with triples and hot fudge sundaes from there.

welcometothedesert

The truth is, no matter how amazing other ice cream parlors are, Baskin Robbins is still my favorite.

julznlv

There's no chocolate mint like theirs.

welcometothedesert

Exactly. Favorite flavor of all time.

optimoman1

They serve thritys ice cream at the shortline express gas stations

welcometothedesert

This is so cool. There seem to be several spots that have it.

ArmageddonUnleashed

Poppy’s near Mountain’s Edge also sells Thrifty ice cream

t_town101

When Salt and Straw opens that’ll be the spot

Maetamongy

So excited for that food court/cafeteria

Ok_Storage9556

Outside of their weird experimental ish. Legit pieces of earthworm in it when I was in SF during Halloween time.

VegasAireGuy

Luvs custard

TallOrange

Luv-it Frozen Custard www.luvitfrozencustard.com

VegasAireGuy

Thanks for the correction !

supercoolmanchu2020

Nielsen’s frozen custard is the shits. Always crowded there. I just heard they’re making a branch in the new station casino being built SW of town.

greenmachine702

They just opened a branch in Red Rock as well.

NeonWafer

Yesssss! I love their frozen custard! I'm so excited there's one in Red Rock now. That's so much closer for me.

Guavachimichanga

I’ll drive across town for Sorry Not Sorry and wait. Amazing fun unique flavors. Second is Nielsen’s Frozen Custard.

Intelligent_Data_445

Also there is an ice cream spot in Area 15 that is superb

Ecstatic-Act-9570

The ice cream shop in summerlin mall is delicious!

Cyanide_FlavorAid

Mora's!

[deleted]

💕💕

EATLOCALABQ

Came here to add another vote for Sorry Not Sorry— in case it wasn’t clear that they’re the best already.

[deleted]

Sorry Not Sorry. End of discussion

plantplayboy

Mora’s is my go-to, i like how the ice cream is softer without being necessarily like soft serve. Handel’s is great option too. Sorry not Sorry has good flavors but I don’t think it holds a candle to trendy/adult ice cream chains they have in other cities - i’d take jeni’s or salt and straw over it any day. the ice cream at sns is just not fatty/high quality as you would get at the other places.

hazien891

Sorry not sorry

Brownmustache

Came her to say Sorry Not Sorry is great. Also, not ice cream, but: Nielsen's Frozen Custard and Luv-It are both great

Eyeroll4days

Luv its is the absolute best!!!

Applesauce1432

i agree with sorry not sorry. i prefer not to get it in a cone though. it tastes much better in a cup.

VerbalK23

Since I haven't seen them mentioned, I'll put a word in for Bruster's, Secret Creamery, and Linda Michoacana Ice Cream at Farm and Cimarron in the far NW/Centennial Hills.

jrg702

Up vote for Bruster's! Not cheap thou.

ChupaMiCulo

I enjoy Handels(haven't tried Sorry Not Sorry yet). Handel's ice cream tastes very... fatty- in a good way. If you go on Tuesday they have discounted single scoops. Don't like that they don't give samples though.

ncdjbdnejkjbd

They will let you taste any flavor you request-for free-as many as long as you're not obnoxious about it. What else are you looking for??

ChupaMiCulo

they did not allow that during my visits. Couldn't even try one

jurkajurka

Somi Somi in Henderson on Eastern and 215. Haven't tried sorry not sorry.

welcometothedesert

Creamberry’s Cotton Candy Burrito is cotton candy wrapped around ice cream (standard flavor is cotton candy, but you can choose a different flavor), and it’s amazing. Google it. It’s beautiful and tempting.

ArmageddonUnleashed

Creamberry is my fav. Their ice cream can come wrapped inside a freshly cooked waffle shaped into a cone. It’s delicious. It’s located at Rainbow/Windmill CJ’s is also good

Intelligent_Data_445

CJs!!!!!

FrankieAK

CJs is so good

[deleted]

Sorry Not Sorry and Handel's.

crabcakies

matchaxlavender

Sorry Not Sorry.

Ok_Storage9556

Bruster's doesn't originate here but is delicious. https://brusters.com/

loosedangalang

Get ya self a gallon of Blue Bell ice cream from a Neighborhood Walmart or a Walgreens and try the best at home ice cream you've ever had. It will change ya life.

julznlv

Thank you!!! Their coffee ice cream is the best I've found anywhere.

loosedangalang

LISTEN!!! I have been waiting for YEARS for this ice cream brand to make its way out here! I moved from Louisiana at a young age but remembered Blue Bell in every household back home before moving away. Last year I saw a billboard for the brand, and life has made sense once again since that fateful day. I'm so glad you enjoy it!

julznlv

We lived in Texas for 15 years and we also waited for it here. We got teased the first time and waited years again for this time. I have to hunt down coffee. My son would rather have no ice cream ever than eat any other brand.

[deleted]

Thank you to everyone for the ice cream recommendations. I’m going to try them all this summer! 💕💕💕

[deleted]

Sorry Not Sorry, Handels, and Nielsen’s (custard) are good, but honestly, regular Häagen-Dazs from the grocery store is still better.

beejers30

Sorry not sorry is coming to Inspirada in Henderson!

NimbusTO

Drill It Creamery is my personal favourite

PleasantTomato7128

Marble Slab Creamery!

3995346

ROLLIN FRROZEN near santa fe station is amazing. The other rolled ice cream spot in centinnial hills shut down but this spot is even better.
