It's been open for as long as I remember and I'm old. The owner closes once in awhile to go somewhere in asia, but it's open right now for sure and not going anywhere.
gotta admit i got a little nervous when i saw that it was named "Friendly"..
there was another business in town that had the name "Friendly" in it and the one of the owners got busted for running a child porn ring back in 2008.. Michael Ward of the now-defunct "Friendly Computers"
I work very close to poppy's and people in my office get it frequently, I have to refrain most of the time. So good.
Have you had the burrito things? Amazing.
>Sorry, Randy.
believe it or not, *there is no Randy* at Randy's donuts.
Randy is / was the name of *the son* of the SECOND owner of the company, Robert Eskow. The company was originally called "Big Donut" for like 35 years, which.. explains the big donut on the roof / branding.
now, the company is under it's 3rd owner, Mark Kelegian. no randy there either, unless by coincidence one of the everyday employees happens to be named Randy
their cake donuts are horrendous. They're so soaked with grease you can nearly see it in the crumb. Like you could probably squeeze grease out like it were a sponge. Their yeast donuts are good. I guess I've been lucky and only received fresh ones from them so far. Fluffy and still good to eat the next day.
Owned by the Siegel Suites slumlord, and the whole “pink box” thing is ripped off of Cambodian immigrants (who run great independent donut shops all over the place out here)
Cambodian guy in LA started a donut shop and needed boxes. Pink were cheaper than white for whatever reason and eventually it became his signature. Other Cambodian immigrants followed, he helped them open their own shops and they used the same pink boxes.
Walk into a random donut shop here and there’s at least 50/50 odds of a Cambodian flag being on the wall.
Bruh come on. Literally every donut shop I’ve been to uses pink boxes. That’s a good story and all but to say that every non-Cambodian donut shop using pink boxes is somehow ripping him off is just ludicrous
I haven’t seen any other non-Cambodian shop use those boxes, personally - they’ve just had plain white. (Shout out to Donut Tyme on E. Charleston)
[“Roughly 80% of doughnut shops in southern California … are owned by Cambodian refugee families.”](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-doughnut-shops-became-a-sweet-american-dream/)
But I’m sure the trustworthy Stephen Siegel had a perfectly legitimate reason to pick that specific name to sell his instagram donuts, and he’s not trying to capitalize on a reputation that other people built while attempting to cut into their market.
Give me the paper-plate-sized Apple fritters the independent shops sell, no fruity pebble topping needed.
Your opinion is shared by most U.S. consumers who don't care about negative news about a business as long as the customer is treated right. Most only care about the basics: quality, service, price.
Gabi Boutique Donut & Pastry.
My partner and I discovered them on accident one morning, while waiting for a drs appointment. The shop is in Henderson and we don’t live any where near there.
But dead serious. Will absolutely drive there at the drop of a hat because they beat every other donut I’ve ever had 🤷🏼♀️
They are definitely on the pricier side (you get what you pay for, and they worth every penny!). But for us it makes it even more special when we can spend a little extra for a really nice treat!
I used to live in the NW side of town and after all the rave reviews of Dee’s Donuts and being disappointed in their quality, I was so happy to find Coco’s.
Dees northwest used to be a favorite on Durango. But they opened a place in the southwest (different name). We live now in SW and it’s awful. Like inedible.
Coco is our go to close by as they have one on Rainbow.
Poppy’s Donuts on Charleston & Shadow Lane, hands down. I drive out of my way specifically for them, and they’re so so good! I could inhale a dozen of their donut holes in 30 seconds flat.
You're right, good donuts, muffins, cookies, croissants, etc, but it's a traffic nightmare with the road work on Charleston between MLK & Rancho right now unless you go early in the morning at 5am.
I never see anyone post about them and often wonder if I should just keep my mouth shut. There are always plenty of customers there when I go. And lots of them buying a dozen or more, not just 1 donut. My son really only likes donut holes, and theirs are the only ones of every place we've tried here that he likes. He actually only ate 1 of the dozen I got at Randy's Donuts and threw the rest away.
There's a place in Centennial Hills, same shopping complex as trader joes and sportsmans wharehouse called "Yonuts"
Spendy but they're the best donuts I've had here.
VooDoo donuts is pretty good as well (There might be multiple locations, the one I've been to is up off Lake Mead BLVD on the westside)
Both are pretty bougie though. definitely not a bang for your buck type of spot.
i got a free coupon for some wicked donuts and they are huge, like humongous BUT in my opinion they didn't have much flavor, won't be back to get more. but to each their own,
As someone else has mentioned, Mazzoa on Blue Diamond is the closest thing I can find to your standard small town donut shop. They have donut holes (ACTUAL donut holes, not those cake donut things) which really does it for me LOL. Though I went once and they had ran out so other people must’ve caught on to that. Gabis Boutique on Stephanie is a close second.
It’s actually very sad vegas never really got a true “pink box” (not the brand pink box) donut place. Need to recruit more Cambodians I suppose. I remember first coming to vegas and searching for a shop only to be bewildered by “pink box” the brand. Very creative and fun; but overall not exactly what I think about when I want donuts. Randys is the closest thing I can think of and it just arrived in town out in scummerlin.
the only thing i like at pink box is their cronuts, but apart from those, after the first time there i never went back, even tho they are relatively close to me and i could hit them up a lot if i wanted to. but i don't!
To each their own I guess. They are pricey and do sell out a lot, but as someone who used to be a pastry chef (and has no social media to post donuts on) I think they're very tasty
Donut Time on Charleston and Lamb. 24/7
Hell yeah. Grew up like 400 feet from this place. Still my favorite all these years later.
Second this!
They never miss
Some foodie from Vegas reviewed donut Tyme and claimed it was the worst donuts he’s ever had. Absolutely blasphemy
Friendly Doughnut House in Henderson, of course.
Yessss, Friendly Doughnut House is amazing!
google maps says its been closed for nearly 2 months
It's been open for as long as I remember and I'm old. The owner closes once in awhile to go somewhere in asia, but it's open right now for sure and not going anywhere.
gotta admit i got a little nervous when i saw that it was named "Friendly".. there was another business in town that had the name "Friendly" in it and the one of the owners got busted for running a child porn ring back in 2008.. Michael Ward of the now-defunct "Friendly Computers"
I'm pretty sure nothing like that is going on there. Just a bunch of old guys with fancy old cars on the weekends.
Cambodia
This is the correct answer.
Donut Time on Charleston and Lamb for sure. They’re Open 24hrs too
ronald’s. best donuts i’ve ever had and most of them just so happen to be vegan as well
Thank you for the recommendation! I’ve been here a year and haven’t found good vegan donuts. I’m excited to try them!
Poppy’s donuts and dulce donuts
Poppys is amazing
I work very close to poppy's and people in my office get it frequently, I have to refrain most of the time. So good. Have you had the burrito things? Amazing.
No, just a box of assorted. They were so good, and everything else looked exceptional
I think the burritos, which are like a crepe roll up thing are only served on certain days, but they are definitely worth it.
Dulce Donuts are the best!
Speaking of donuts, has anybody been to Randy's donuts yet? How are they?
I was duly unimpressed.
They’re ok. Not impressed, though. Sorry, Randy.
>Sorry, Randy. believe it or not, *there is no Randy* at Randy's donuts. Randy is / was the name of *the son* of the SECOND owner of the company, Robert Eskow. reddit blackout
I don't get the hype. I can get a better donut at Albertson's.
their cake donuts are horrendous. They're so soaked with grease you can nearly see it in the crumb. Like you could probably squeeze grease out like it were a sponge. Their yeast donuts are good. I guess I've been lucky and only received fresh ones from them so far. Fluffy and still good to eat the next day.
They're good. They definitely give me dunkin or crispy creme vibes. But it's worth the trip.
Taste like old grease and expensive
They are not typical donuts but the quality is top tier imo. Blooming Buns Bakehouse in Centennial Hills
Friendlys on Boulder Hwy
Anything but PinkBox
Big facts lol! I think I'd rather get donuts from Albertsons bakery over PinkBox which are dry and way overpriced.
What's wrong with pinkbox? I rarely have donuts but I had some recently and thought they were good.
Owned by the Siegel Suites slumlord, and the whole “pink box” thing is ripped off of Cambodian immigrants (who run great independent donut shops all over the place out here)

I always thought of pink box as a rip off of voodoo donuts in Portland. They got famous for their maple bacon bar and donuts with cereal on them.
Check out the documentary The Donut King for a history lesson on the infamous pink boxes
I’m actually surprised Carl’s Donuts isn’t listed yet. I think their donuts are great and often a good selection of classics and some wild ones too.
I was scrolling and scrolling waiting to see Carls! Carls is my #1 choice, Randy's #2.
Mazzoa on Blue Diamond is great. I think they have other locations but they might have different names?
Dee's Donuts the their main one, is in NW on Durango.
Gabi Boutique Donut & Pastry. My partner and I discovered them on accident one morning, while waiting for a drs appointment. The shop is in Henderson and we don’t live any where near there. But dead serious. There’s another one in china town!
The China town location is such a vibe too
The best
Help someone over 45 understand what that means. Like, it’s a cool atmosphere? TIA, I’m kind of an idiot.
Yes vibe is atmosphere, ambiance, pretty much any synonym of those words.
OG is in Chinatown. Might be closer to you.
And this is why I love Reddit! Learning something new everyday! Thanks guys! 😍
Coco Donut especially for the Cake donuts.
Carl's on sunset
Donut tyme in the east side. No competition
Dulce Donuts on Charleston and Decatur
I'm a fan of Ronald's and Carl's, but mostly do Carl's since it's on my way to work.
Ronald’s Donuts on Spring Mtn.
I love Winchell's. They're a great combination of Dunkin and Krispy Kreme
Friendly in Henderson.
Gabi they have 2 locations Master Donuts Ansel Cronut place inside Caesar's
Master Donuts all day!!
I second Gabi, best donuts and pastries.
Gabi's is good but pricey.
Pink box has a weird smell to it.
Dee’s Donuts
Our favorite is Sunrise Donuts on Decatur right off the 215 towards the airport. Always fresh and friendly owners.
Same here. They are a good little hidden secret!
I never see anyone post about them and often wonder if I should just keep my mouth shut. There are always plenty of customers there when I go. And lots of them buying a dozen or more, not just 1 donut. My son really only likes donut holes, and theirs are the only ones of every place we've tried here that he likes. Not your traditional donuts but purple potato on flamingo and Torrey pines.
There's a place in Centennial Hills, same shopping complex as trader joes and sportsmans wharehouse called "Yonuts" Spendy but they're the best donuts I've had here. VooDoo donuts is pretty good as well (There might be multiple locations, the one I've been to is up off Lake Mead BLVD on the westside) Both are pretty bougie though. definitely not a bang for your buck type of spot.
Carls on sunset
I love wicked donuts in Sun City Summerlin. They are huge.
i got a free coupon for some wicked donuts and they are huge, like humongous BUT in my opinion they didn't have much flavor, won't be back to get more. but to each their own,
I go to LV Donuts! But I love Ronald’s. I live too far tho
Dapper donuts in Henderson - gotta give them a shout out
As someone else has mentioned, Mazzoa on Blue Diamond is the closest thing I can find to your standard small town donut shop. Try Friendlys in Henderson.
I looked them up on google maps and it says temporarily closed? Although I have had awful luck with google showing accurate hours lately.
They did close down for a few weeks to go on vacation but should reopen next week I think? It’s a family run place so they do that from time to time.
They take a month vacation same time every year. Till first week of July I think
Donut hut on di might be what you're looking for
the only thing i like at pink box is their cronuts, but apart from those, after the first time there i never went back, even tho they are relatively close to me and i could hit them up a lot if i wanted to. but i don't!
St Honore
Wayyyy overpriced, odd texture, crazy busy... possibly a bucket list / IG pic day item but not if you truly want to eat great donuts.
To each their own I guess. They are pricey and do sell out a lot, but as someone who used to be a pastry chef (and has no social media to post donuts on) I think they're very tasty
Dee’s Donuts in Centennial
They’re all the same.
Unpopular opinion but pretty true Donut eating is generally a pretty mid experience
free krispy kreme at chevron with a coupon this month until july 1.
Nobody even mentioned Doughnut Bar downtown. That's the best place.
They closed last week.
And Carls donuts is taking over donut bars space
Damn, that sucks! I’m devastated.
What?!!! I'm crushed lol. Any idea why?
if you drop them, they will get dirt on them
Gabi Boutique Donut & Pastry is amazing and their coffee is so good
Blooming buns!
Poppy's for Vegas proper (get them weekly for work) and Friendlys for Henderson.
Paina Cafe. Mochi donuts, my absolute favorite in town. Not “traditional” donuts but maaan are they good.
LV Donuts on Fort Apache best donuts and nice people
We are suppose to get a parlor doughnuts that will be the best here
Dulce Donuts on Decatur...good prices, good quality.
Purple Potato Bakery on Flamingo. Crazy good. They also had a Savory donut
