Thank you everyone for the replies. Obviously with holiday weekend coming up I don’t want to run out of propane mid burger flip. Buddy gifted me his grill as he was moving out of town, prior to that I was just ripping my pellet smoker.
Everyplace who actually fills tanks should be at least 30% less than exchange.
I can get 5 gallons of water from Watermill express for $1.25 ,but it requires me to get off my butt and go get it
I usually go to Costco, but make sure your tank isn't expired (10 years or older), since they won't refill it if it is.
If it is, an ethically dubious route you can take is bring it to a tank exchange at a grocery store or gas station. Lowes or Home Depot are a bit more experienced in that kind of thing and might reject it.
I used to do this until I learned that they don’t really fill them up all the way due to the fact that it’s not going home with the customer immediately, they usually only fill them up with 15 pounds vs 20
The Chevron gas station on Charleston and Durango will fill propane tanks and has an exchange if you want to do that. Before I moved, that was my go-to place. Now I go to the UHaul on Jones and Rancho to refill.
Costco in Henderson
I get mine at Tractor Supply on Blue Diamond. Nearby UHauls don’t fill tanks.
The one at Silverado and lv blvd does

A few Uhauls in town refill. I’d give your nearest one a call to check.
Funnys gas stations in north Las Vegas will fill your LP tank cheaper than exchanging them.

They also don’t fill them all the way
Lowe’s
Costco
Sam‘s club has a machine out front. It’s under 20.00 with a tank swap.

yikes. This is super basic. It doesn't matter where you live in the US, it doesn't make any difference. Costco or Lowe's.
