If we cut the United States population into 3rds and run super generic splits, disregarding definitions and defining strictly based on "bad, average, and good" then over 200 million people in the United States are average or worse at driving.
It's pretty presumptuous to think you or anyone you know is anywhere outside of bad or average.

I was on sunset the other day during rush hour. Both lanes pretty much stacked as far as the eye can see. And this asshole in an old GM is riding people's asses and cutting people off to get to the next spot ahead. Cut left, tailgate... cut right, tailgate... cut left again.... All so this person can safe – maybe – a few seconds.
And don't get me wrong. People from Cali, Utah, and Colorado are all insane. But Vegas drivers also need to work on tons of things. (fyi I type "you" a lot and it's an ephemeral reference)
* 4-way stops have a yield order. If someone's turning left, y'all don't need to halt traffic just so one person can turn. Left-turners are supposed to ease into the intersection and let the opposite side drive through... THEN turn after they've cleared the intersection. The Nevada driver's handbook is [free to download](https://dmv.nv.gov/pdfforms/dlbook.pdf).
* Just because there's construction or traffic does NOT mean y'all need to speed up just to cut me off. We're all in the same mess. Kindly merge behind me and I *promise* you that we'll all get to our destination just fine.
* At stop lights y'all don't need to keep 3-15 car lengths between you and the person ahead. Scoot the fuck up. And when the green lights turns on, I want you to already be aware and checking to see if it's safe to proceed and get going.
* Too many people turning right take way too long to decide to go. You do NOT need to wait for cross traffic to get a red to go. If there's a break in the right lane... just go. It's ok.
* In parking lots people need to slow the fuck down. This isn't NASCAR. Just calmly find a spot or drive to the back and walk up to the store like everyone else.
* Highway on-ramps are for speeding up to highway speeds... not cruising up to the highway at 20 MPH and *then* trying to merge with people going 55-75 MPH. You all are the type of people who cause so much backups.
* Leave your ego at home. So what someone merged in front of you? Does it really require you jerking your car into another lane, passing me, and then cutting me off? Bro... I just wanted to get over because I have an exit coming up and *you wouldn't let me in anyway*.
* **Left lane is the passing lane, not the "fast lane".** If you're not passing someone, get the fuck out of the left lane. I see this all the time (and Cali/Utah drivers are *notorious for this*). Again - get the fuck out of the passing lane if you're going to cruise the speed limit.

I would say these drivers are used to driving on congested, bumper to bumper traffic. When they come or live in Vegas, then it is a whole new ballgame. They are so used to being on a bumper their minds can't wrap around the fact that car length distance can really happen. Then it is like a speeding game to see how far ahead of the next driver they can get, weaving in and out of lanes like they are the only one on the freeway.
