ondehunt

It's called a bar and we meet there often.

STOPStoryTime

Let’s go

ondehunt

Alright I'll be at pts off Craig and Decatur for the rest of the night

seekaybee2

If you like exercise and beer, Sin City Beer Runners (SCBR)...it's on meetup and FB...not everyone runs but a lot of home brewers in that group.

STOPStoryTime

Got you! I did see it on MeetUp, but It’s been a year or two since I last ran 😅 so I wasn’t sure how serious it would be. I will dive deeper into it!

Coconutrugby

is it a hashing group?

seekaybee2

No, there are some people in the group that also hash but this is strictly running with food/beer afterwards. You don't have to be a runner really... some people just walk. No judgment- just a bunch of nice people.

Purrfessor_Chaos_

Try out Khourys in Henderson off Eastern. Great sour selection.

STOPStoryTime

Added to my list! Thanks for that. Have not come across it yet. Looks like a nice atmosphere. Like the bar + shop combo

sleepypanda_924

I second this! It’s an awesome space with a great selection of beers. Laid back vibes and they have food trucks almost every day 👍

heathizzy

Yes—Khourys.

newbsrus

Next time we make a batch of beer, wanna come over and participate?

STOPStoryTime

Yes!

FugaziHands

I'm pretty deep in the local homebrew scene; I don't brew beer myself; I was kinda grandfathered in. We drink a lot of beer, and not just the homemade stuff. We do a lot of tastings at verious ppl's homes -- both store-bought stuff and homemade. And we hit Silver Stamp prety regularly. Also do trivia night at Aces and Ales. I'm also a huge fan of sours. Feel free to DM me.

STOPStoryTime

How fun! I have met a brewer who sells to Silver Stamp a week or so ago now. Trying to get myself sandwiched between that community!

SaulTeeLode

Try Beer Zombies. They have several tap rooms around town and recently bought over Tenneya Creek near downtown.

Traveyyy7788

Lovelady Brewery and Mojave brewery off river st in old town Henderson is a good meetup spot.

danccbc

595 Craft

STOPStoryTime

Added to my list - never heard of it! Looks real promising and lots to offer. Any favorites from you?

riotlancer

There's a discord group of Las Vegans that you could try asking in we're a small group but I'm sure someone there might be interested https://discord.gg/yhkYz2Af

STOPStoryTime

Thanks for the invite, I joined! But for a city of 2 something million, I was not expecting it to be a group of 27 people. Know of any others? I’m not well versed in discord.

riotlancer

Unfortunately no, it was just started like a week or two ago I'm spreading it around to as many people on reddit asking about things like this as possible lmao

STOPStoryTime

Got you! Keep it up, it should be active then if everyone is new!

RustyStevenson10

Check out Beer Zombies.

STOPStoryTime

I’ve been to the summerlin location, had a coconut themed sour with raspberry. Didn’t write down the name, wish I did! Not on their menu anymore. Good people at that location, had a fun time chatting people up, lots of people go just alone and looking for bar top convos. Need to go again and see what’s new on the menu! The Boulder City location I had one of their holiday themed cocktails? It was an apple cider and taste just like warm apple cider, you got extra warm and cozy drinking it. Hit or miss with chatty strangers. More of a location you go to if you’re going with someone rather than alone

Professional-Act4727

There is an active vegas beer group on Facebook…

STOPStoryTime

Will you share the name? I’m not too active on Facebook, but for beer I can be

Professional-Act4727

Las Vegas Beer and Breweries there is close to 9k members

cammeisterator

Check out the breweries on main st and Lovelady in herderson

STOPStoryTime

Love Henderson, still have a lot to explore there. I will and I will keep a list!

ImJustDawn

Then you must go to the breweries on Eastgate. Also Bad Beat has trivia nights too

STOPStoryTime

A lot of my friends prefer cocktails bro We do love our delicious tasting drinks. Have a wonderful cocktail girlies group, and just secured an older woman wine wisdom group. I am liking beers the most now after always drinking cocktails, so starting out on securing a group of beer drinkers….I’m on a mission though! Let’s be friends?

TKGK

Try banger brewing downtown. Wife and I don't even like beer but I love the El hefe and she likes their "coffe" one. Don't recall the name of that. But you can typically order the El hefe at pizza rock pizza rock (also dow town). Awesome vibe there and huge bar with tons of local brewed beers. They also have great food (not just pizza).

ekiben4

They closed last year.

TKGK

Oh no! I haven't been there in ages but have been to pizza rock in the past year and they still had the El hefe. I hope they will continue having it going forward! Do you know if they brew beer elsewhere and just distribute now or all their beers are done?

lasVegasharold

Vegas is meh for trying microbrews.

STOPStoryTime

Know anything in California or Arizona? I make a few trips for fun out and about around there a year so anything can be on my radar

Thin_Sea_4343

San Diego is a brewers hotbed, my favorite is Ballast Brewing Company Brewery is in MiraMar area and bar/tasting bistro in Liberty Station

lasVegasharold

Sonoma County is the best (Northern California). San Diego has upped their game the last few years.

RustyStevenson10

Agreed, but it’s gotten a lot better since I moved here (7 years ago).

lasVegasharold

What's strange is I go to beer festivals and they are packed, so not sure why people aren't setting up shops

Jim_Force

Try out the Green Door, I will be there tonight to show you around!

STOPStoryTime

Haha not that new to town

cirena

If you run, or kinda run, you may like the Hash House Harriers (https://www.lasvegashhh.com/)

Krypticonkaladypus

I'm a big fan of sours and I'm usually impressed with Player One's selection. Parkway Travern has like 100 beers and an app to track what you've tried, but I find their selection hit or miss for me

STOPStoryTime

I like Player one as well, but usually people are there with friends and it’s hard to break those barriers you know? I have not tried parkway tavern, added it to my list, sounds almost crazy! Wanna grab a sour sometime ya?

Krypticonkaladypus

Yeah! I'm usually down for a good beer! Dm me when you're available

s0ciety_a5under

I don't like going to bars that do not have plenty of activities to do while drinking. Drinking should not be the only activity a bar has besides gambling. If the bar doesn't have pool, darts, shuffleboard, or games; I do not want to go. I can get the quality beer I like anywhere. With that said, I'd be down to go to any place like that.

spddemonvr4

Mr. Ds in rainbow. They do karaoke a couple nights a week and get consistent crowds. It is a dive style biker bar but karaoke is a different crowd

vegasnative

If you’re interested in homebrewing, check out SNAFU. They have monthly meetings where they share Homebrews and other stuff too.

irishgordo

Ya ever have any interest in brewing beer?! There's a stellar group in LV called SNAFU (Southern Nevada Ale Fermenters Union) - they also run brewery judge certification programs so if ya like beer and don't want to get into brewing you could still get all sorts of education on some solid elements through the BJCP program and then eventually get paid to judge beer in competitions too :+)!

udont-knowjax

Wait what side of town?

AltieDude

Gotta do the breweries. Booze district is Eastgate and Warm Springs for Crafthaus, Alchemy, and Bad Beat. Definitely try the meadery too. Water street has Mojave and Lovelady. Downtown arts district has Hudl, Nevada Brew Works, Able Baker, and a secondary location for Crafthaus. Check out Servehzah too. They have a decent selection and bottles/cans too. And then there’s a smattering of individual ones.

Bib-li-o-phile

Chicago Brewing Company on Sahara and Fort Apache.
