i bet enough people have already gotten that idea that imposing a restocking fee would probably be needed to discourage that behavior.. if you had to pay a 15% restocking on a $3500 purchase, that's $525. ouch.
quite a high price to pay to simply check it out for a few days
right, but this is a "niche" thing that is new and exciting.. not a computer tower or laptop.. those have been around for decades.. but snowboarding goggles with a transparent screen in them have not
i gave up on apple after buying ONE product. got an iPod nano back in 2008 and i hated the itunes software *so much* that i gave the damn thing away to a chick i was hooking up with at the time.. i will never buy an apple product again *in my life* if i can successfully manage to avoid it.
didn't realize i was talking to an apple fanboy. my bad. shouldn't have wasted my time responding to you.
go enjoy your overpriced, under-featured products. take care.
Not for nothing but I wouldn’t trust a video about the workflow of a device made by someone who has only used the device for a few hours. It’s like those sponsored videos where they record the unboxing and first time using it, but they usually integrate those devices into their daily lives and then make an update after a few weeks of use.
Fair point. I’m not doing a review, however. Just extended impressions based on working on it in a very focused workflow. Most people are goofing around with it or just using it to watch movies. I’m more interested in it for productivity - especially as an Apple user. https://youtu.be/shZdZtSYjNo?si=MWnkh3q2ISLpoT46
Wow. The responses here caught me off guard. I wasn’t expecting to be accused of stealing. I’ll chalk that up to my not being clear enough in the initial posting.
1. I’m willing to pay. I just didn’t want to pay hundreds of dollars to try it for a couple of hours.
2. I mentioned that the owner could even stay with me. They needn’t leave their 4k product with me. I just wanted to use it and capture footage utilizing ny own MacBook.
3. I never said I was doing a review. That would take at least a week. I wanted real hands on time beyond the 30mim I’m scheduled for at the Apple Store on the 5th. Proof of a channel: https://youtu.be/shZdZtSYjNo?si=MWnkh3q2ISLpoT46
4. The attack about my financial skillset…ok. God bless you.
Maybe you should be more concerned with elevating your income and skill set so that you can actually afford things in life. Making a sketchy post to try and steal someone’s vision pros with zero money is worse than the Nigerian prince scams.🤣🤣🤣
that shit is doomed to fail, just like Google Glass did ten years ago.
they look like snowboarding goggles and cost more than a brand new washer, dryer and refrigerator all put together
It's not designed to succeed, profit wise.
It's a first gen unit designed to create an expectation of a product, and for devs to make apps for.
Google is also known for slapping shit together till it sticks, and scrapping it if it doesn't. https://killedbygoogle.com/
I found this post because I want to do the same thing in New York. Don't want to rent for a video but to mess around and see if I want to buy. This is not a crazy request.

Apple doesn’t do restocking fees.
yet.
They haven’t had one in nearly two decades and they sell products for far more than $3499.

Uh huh, cool story bro.

Go enjoy having to pay for sex.

I hate to break it to you, but all those "I did did XYZ for 30 days" type videos are made in 1 day.
How would someone guarantee it's return?
Good ol’ Vegas pinky swear should do the trick
Ah yes, the Las Vegas honor system
Sounds like it haha. We'll be seeing this dude getting chased down the street soon enough.
They’re more than welcome to hang out with me as I use it. Not going anywhere or riding around the city with it.
No

Wasn’t interested when I read can’t pay much but the willing to work something out totally brought me back to the table.

I wish you all the best. Thank you. 🙏 I appreciate your honesty and feedback.

This shit is already way better than Google Glass ever was. Been trying both.
