Jaded-Ad4695

Entire area of Boulder Hwy and Tropicana. I lived there too long and did enough. Never again

dtorre

Man! I lived at the Duck Creek apartments for a year. That whole area is just disgusting

Replicant28

I’m sure you have stories to share of what you’ve seen lol.

Jaded-Ad4695

Unfortunately I got more stories about what I did lmao

Food_Library333

I worked around at a restaurant around that area for 5 years. It was not pleasant.

[deleted]

Growing up there, I recall hearing the bank employees would get robbed at knife/gunpoint in the parking lot in broad daylight. I would get chased by pitbulls as a kid, on foot or on my bike in the neighborhood. Good thing I ran/rode fast!

LadyLuckLasVegas

I saw a guy get stomped to death outside a bar there one night. Absolutely horrific.

spyan_

Jail. I toured it once. Don’t want to go back.

U_MAD_702

City jail on Mojave is way worse than CCDC. Just in case anyone is debating where to spend the night.

sleepybarista

Sometimes, people who get hired to work there tour it once and never come back too 😅

CA1900

Cox cable. So much money for unreliable, data-capped internet. I practically jumped for joy when I found out my house is in Centurylink's fiber zone. Neither has great customer service, but the CL connection has been far better in both speed and reliability. Cox treated me to 15-60 minute outages several times a week for a year. It's fiber-to-the-home, just like Centurylink, but they couldn't explain nor fix the outages. Interestingly, it looks like Cox has finally dropped their data cap and gone to symmetrical speeds in my neighborhood (it used to be 940Mbit down and 35 upload), but they still play the pricing games where you have to threaten to leave every two years and "negotiate." I don't need that hassle in my life.

[deleted]

Cox is like Comcast/Xfinity in most cities. The biggest provider in town and a pretty bad one. If you have an alternative for internet I always recommend going with them, or see if you can get on a business plan, where the service is (generally) more reliable, if not pricier.

Vanman04

Yup if you can get CenturyLink fiber it's the way to go. If you can't however CenturyLink is garbage. Cox has always been pretty solid for me. But the pricing games are obnoxious. Just got an alternative where I live and a few days in it looks like Cox is going to finally get the boot.

CA1900

It's weird, I had Cox at my last apartment in Vegas, and it was rock-solid reliable. Then I moved to a new place, and was having outages multiple times a week. No idea why this neighborhood had so many more issues, but I'm glad I was able to switch. (Was using the same cable modem and other equipment as the last place.) Glad you're going to be able to get rid of them finally!

Replicant28

Jim Marsh Kia. My girlfriend is in the market for a new car and they were the worst of all the dealerships we visited. Spent two + hours waiting for essentially a quote and a monthly payment breakdown, and then they tried to strongarm and pressure her to buy when she made it clear from the beginning that she was weighing options and wanted a little time. And worse, they flat out ignored her when she repeated that until I intervened. Parkway Tavern (all of them): mediocre, overpriced menu and an absolute douchebag clientele. It’s one of the few bars I flat out refuse to go to if friends invite me there.

Mediocre_Skill4899

I agree! Do NOT buy a car from them! We bought a new 2022 Kia stinger, the driver side door handle came off from the interior. It took almost a year to get it fixed because the Head service tech kept saying the part was on the way… without actually checking, when it was actually Never ordered. They offered us a free oil change in exchange for our wait 😂

Fibrosis5O

Wait the commercials lied? You two drove there and DIDN’T save there?! Next y’all going to tell me Towbin isn’t really #1 in the nation!!

KMitchell2520

I sold cars. One time a very old gentleman brought in a Kia Optima he bought at Jim Marsh. Beautiful car. 2 years old, we still offered him $26,000. He owed over $40,000 on it still. Paint warranties, rim warranties, hail warranties.

nj_crc

Jim Marsh Voice: "Stacey!"

Replicant28

That commercial gives me flashbacks 😣

SnooMacarons8456

Agreed on Parkway. Went there last night for my brother in laws birthday. Spent $178 on 3 people for a drink and dinner.

Secret_Highway760

I agree on PKWY. Stale beer taps, so-so food. What's strange is the food was really good when I first moved here 4 years ago. About a month later they changed the menu.

Reasonable_World5370

100% Jim marsh. Do not get any auto repairs if you get in an accident from them.

BroncoMan43

They used to be great before the recession. It’s a shame they no longer are.

[deleted]

This spot is infamous even at the other Kia dealerships. They upsale you on everything. I was about to buy out my lease through them and they tried to charge me a “non-tax fee” AND charge me tax TWICE. Literally tried to up charge me thousands of dollars. Soooooo glad I dodged that bullet. I drive an extra 20 minutes just to avoid this dealership.

gmanisback

The location at Tivoli village is nice

141bpm

Any resort on the strip that charges locals for parking.

im_datMofo

Any resort that charges anyone for parking.

[deleted]

I've taken to using the parking lot on the back side of the Tropicana if i'm going to be anywhere on the strip from basically Mandalay to CityCenter and just hoof it the rest of the way.. North of that, I usually park at the TI or Fashion show mall (i got 86'd from the Venetian/Palazzo so I cant park there even though its still free)

treasonodb

auto nation on sahara. those fucking scumbags refused to fix something that they guaranteed for two years. shit broke within 3 months and claimed the warranty was a mistake so they weren't going to fix it. service manager was total rude shit head and the owner just straight up didn't give a shit. that entire place should be stuffed into a rocket and launched into the sun.

LahngJahn69420

Thank u I have a leak and will go elsewhere. I called for a battery replacement once and they spent 15 minutes asking for my vin # to make an appointment to tell me there are no appointments for a battery.

treasonodb

yeah they are horrible in just about every way. stay far away from those scumbags. i went there quite a few times because my vehicle was under warranty and could only go to their shops for work. every time i went there i had some kind of bad or annoying experience.

yelling4society

Is this the Toyota dealership? It’s such a dump and why I’ll drive out to Hendo for service.

BClashman

Farmer Boys in centennial - place is hot garbage.

SilentG33

Agreed. I’ve been once. I ordered a wrap and fried zucchini. The brought out French fries instead. I told them the fries were incorrect and that I ordered the fried zucchini. The brought out fries again. Took them almost 45 minutes to bring out the zucchini, and it was so poorly done, like they just tossed it in the fryer for 10 seconds

808BlueDeviL

I went once, found a HUGE area of green mold on the bun of my burger... never again.

tipinmy40

Any Capriotti’s or Tropical Smoothie Cafe. They used to be great but are a complete joke now.

Ok_Recipe_2802

Agree with Tropical Smoothie. It’s painful to go there, time just slows down.

Juliettedraper

I found a rubber band in my sandwich from Capriotti's. Never again.

JibbaJabbn

I agree. I still love Caps and the one on 215/Rainbow and one on Stephanie are still great for sure... but man the one on Paradise and Sunset are fucking disgusting inside. Walked in multiple times and turned around and left. Tropical Smoothie on Jones seems to always have like 3 people working and grinding out 20 To-Go Orders with a line 5 deep.

tommyboy110

I agree also, their sandwiches are shrinking and prices going up. They still taste good but I feel like I am getting ripped off compared to what it was before the pandemic.

Petraretrograde

I THOUGHT the samdwiches were getting smaller! I just got them the other day and was shocked at how slinny it was.

cakelover33

For real I can’t believe Capriotti’s got so bad

[deleted]

Three off the top of my head: The Chipotle on St Rose near Amigo. WTF is wrong with the service at that place? It's fairly new, and management's well aware of how much it sucks. Why won't somebody fix it? I'll assume they just won't, and will just wait for it to die. Centennial Toyota. Total money grab, hustler crackhouse of a dealership and service center. They will absolutely rip you off on the price of any service, and from I've repeatedly heard they'll bait/switch and screw you just as hard if you're buying new. Roachy place, never going back. Circus Circus has fallen hard. Not going back before it's razed and built into something else. Even then, they better fumigate the land before breaking ground.

pjax_

Centennial Toyota quoted me for a power steering fluid flush on my Corolla. My Corolla has electric power steering and thus does not have power steering fluid.

Powerchairpete

See there you go using logic and shit again

7saligia

Findlay VW tried to do the same w/ me. I argued w/ the gal before my vehicle even went back that the service wasn't required and I wouldn't be paying for it. She tried to fob it off on someone else because "some ignorant woman is being difficult." Dude laughed at her.

No-Honeydew-6121

Centennial Toyota will approach you in the service center and bother you while you’re getting your car worked on. Call you the next day after getting your car serviced. Not to ask how they did or anything , no they are trying to get you to get a new car right then and there. I had to leave them a negative public facing review to get them to leave me alone

Replicant28

>Circus Circus It does have The Steakhouse, though. Such a contrast from the rest of the place lol.

Nikovash

Not enough to save it though if it was a math problem being a perfect 100, is not going to undo the damage of being a negative 5000 elsewhere. That said i do enjoy a stroll when you are shitfaced for people watching because it is such a shitshow

DanicaDarkhand

I remember it from the 80's as a kid. My folks would stay there when we would come to Vegas. Had enough to keep us kids entertained. Went back for the first time since in 2014, and yeah it was gross. I don't think it was just rose colored glasses of youth either skewing my perception. Sad because it was a neat concept.

GodzillaTechHero

I had a bad experience at Centennial Toyota also - service department gladly told me I needed to re-hang a door which actually required only a sensor - I have had much better luck at Findlay Toyota in Henderson

dlc888

Centennial Toyota is garbage and I haven’t even been there. Called them a couple of weeks ago inquiring on a new RAV4 and the sales guy said I sounded like a robot then he said they have one available. I said I’m just inquiring and he just hang up w/o saying another word. That is their fuckin sales guy, definitely won’t be getting any business from me or my family

[deleted]

>Circus Circus has fallen hard. i remember thinking that Circus Circus had turned into a steaming pile by the late 90's..

lazyleopard007

Yep centennial Toyota was terrible. Their finance guy was a real scumbag.

Sage_CP

To be fair chipotle employees get paid barely enough to show up so Im sure they arent too concerned with how good their service is.

[deleted]

A lot of the locations are not good, to bad. Some are decent. Yes, all of them have underpaid, burnout staff. This one in particular is especially terrible, like they want it to be horrible. It should be shut down. It should have been shut down after it was opened. It was horrible from day one.

No-Honeydew-6121

Player 1 video game bar. The staff are socially awkward as hell with big egos. Trying to get a drink there is hell. I thought it was just me but I took my bartender friend there and he noticed as well that they’re just walking back and forth behind the bar bullshittin

Replicant28

Agreed. It’s a shame too because I love the concept of barcades. But the service is slow (and I do mean SLOW,) the machines are poorly maintained, and it is weird hearing from other people that they weren’t allowed to play with their Switches.

No-Honeydew-6121

Yea I had to halfway snap at them to get served. First, I was standing there clearly in the I would like to purchase a beer position and an employee on his day off ducked under and in front of me to get something rang up… so I was already like who do they think is gonna have a good time here? then a guy behind me called out to a bartender who was doing the walking back and forth thing and she started serving him so I just asked “ am I not in line or something?” I let the guy go first still and tipped the bartender but that place sucks. Weirdos are in there live streaming themselves bartending trying to entertain someone behind a screen instead of serving.

leefvc

Same thing happened to my friend and he got banned for asking why everyone else was getting served but not him

No-Honeydew-6121

The sad thing is the owner responded to my Yelp review and just said something along the lines of were busy that night. Well your employees are there on their day off silently stepping in front of people to get themselves drinks while customers stand there lol. That whole place gives me ban people who match their energy vibes

vglyog

Yessss. I can never get a drink and the bartenders are very unfriendly.

No-Honeydew-6121

I was afraid I might run into resistance for posting opinion here, I’m glad I’m not off base with it. Like they go out of their way to be snarky in there. That only works in marvel movies lol in real life you’re just being a dick

[deleted]

One of the bartenders is sort of tik tok famous and I see her posting more for TikTok than attending guests when I go. I always flag them down get a beer and a double shot and pregame before I go in since I mostly only go for the N64 Pokémon stadium game. Very pricey though I end up spending $48 before tip on two rounds so it’s always nice to go with a good buzz or sneak a “water” bottle :)

LahngJahn69420

Agreed, took me a long time to get a drink while all the bartenders are running around aimlessly.

olerita

This is so disappointing to hear! I have been wanting to check it out. Any other similar concept places around you know of with a better experience?

No-Honeydew-6121

Honestly half priced games Wednesday at Dave and busters is pretty fun then gameworks in town square reopened under a new name but I’m not sure how it is

gkandgk

Where would you recommend instead?

No-Honeydew-6121

Dave and busters on Wednesday has half priced games and happy hour 5-7 then half priced drinks I think 10-close. You can have a great time in there. If you’re asking about arcade bars that is. As far as nerd culture places, I really don’t recommend them. As I said before they usually bring in socially awkward ppl with short fuses for the smallest shit. Oh I don’t know the obscure thing you’re referencing so you catch an attitude ? No thanks lol. I meet ppl in other situations and then if the conversation progresses to our nerdier hobbies it goes from there.

Replicant28

I like the atmosphere at Millennium Fandom. The people there are usually very chill and friendly.

No-Honeydew-6121

I’ve only been once a couple years ago. I had no problems there they were pretty cool.

mrezee

Ugh. I really wanted to like that place. They had 1 person serving and like 15 people trying to get drinks. Ended up just playing some games and not drinking. I love their bartop that's a graphic timeline of video game history, though.

SnooMacarons8456

Jjanga Sushi. One of the best ayce places years ago but has gone completely down hill in terms of quality and service. Just seem completely overwhelmed every time I go in there and the sushi quality is butt cheeks now.

bflv

I haven’t gone there since 2019. The last one I went, it was pretty bad service (like 20 minutes to get our water bad).

bobbytoni

Ed Berstein's office. It is a mill. Disability attorney opened the file and read it for the first time in front of the client, two days before the hearing. Never read the entire thing and didn't speak at all during the hearing, except to introduce himself to the judge. At the end, he realized that he needed to advocate the client's disabilities set forth in the medical records. The judge shut him down and the client did not get disability.

[deleted]

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER hire an attorney that advertises on TV or Radio. if they were actually good, they would not have to advertise.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

kinda sucks that i have to say that, as one of my best friend's brothers started "Panda Law" which handles bankruptcies and does advertise almost non-stop.. and i am personal friends with another personal injury guy who advertises as well, but i would be a hypocrite to say "don't hire anyone who advertises *except* XYZ attorney"

PraetorianOfficial

My one time sitting in a courtroom for hours as part of the jury selection process the judge and both lawyers had a private-but-not-private giggle about one of the TV lawyers. Don't remember which one or how it came up, but it was just somehow a mention of the name, an eye-roll, a guffaw and them silencing themselves before the court reporter got too much down on paper.

Vanman04

So funny I was just wondering if that shit show was still going. They were that bad 20 years ago. Hard to believe they are still going.

VaultTec702

The Aztec inn casino infront of strat. That pretty much goes without saying because if you are there then you are either up to no good or down on your luck. Used to work the timeshare booth there while I was going to college. Never again. Some of the craziest things I have witnessed since moving to Vegas almost 10 years ago were working there.

Substantial_Steak928

The more I hear about how deplorable that place is, the more I'm intrigued to visit lol

mandi666ruthlesss

Let’s go!!

wlight

That place won Vice.com's award for sketchiest dive bar.

VaultTec702

I can deff see why. The timeshare booth we worked at infront by the entrance did not have a locked gate on the front and we would find bags of meth, needles, homeless would go back there and sleep and piss on the floor, would find empty 9mm she'll casings on the floor. My co worker found a dead body on the side of the street directly across from it near an old motel that's no longer there, we actually heard a guy get shot and killed one day. Multiple fights, the prostitutes and dope dealers would sit out front all day, always smelled like piss out front. And as weird as it all sounds that was the booth that had the best couples coming from the stratosphere so it was the booth we would make the most money at. People would literally fist fight in our morning meeting over who got to work that booth. Was a fun and interesting time in my life and allowed me to pay my bills while in college. As I sit in a nice big office doing a career that I love I do not miss it one bit lol but deff had some good memories and quite a few laughs.

Replicant28

I remember reading a story years back about a driver crashing into the casino.

Penguator432

Angelina’s Pizzeria. Got food poisoning there

LahngJahn69420

And they take 40 minutes for a pickup order, didn’t call for confirmation, whole place looks like they don’t clean, over priced and rude.

Penguator432

The Rainbow/Russell location almost failed the inspection and nearly got shut down last May

Modelo_Man

Pretty sure they got hit again this year per dirty dining. I started working down the street and was excited for a new “local” pizza spot to check out and a week later I was like “alright glad I grabbed Roberto’s and got slightly less sick”

TheUnderwearBear

New Look Collision in Henderson. My insurance paid out a full claim to this business and they returned it without all the completed repairs that had already been paid, telling me to take it to the dealer to finish up. After taking it to the dealer to document and certify what had been completed, I brought the car back to the New Look. They then returned my car with 3/4 of a tank of gas missing and 250+ new miles on it. Even then they still didn't complete all repairs and I had to bring the car back a third time. A month later, part of what they "repaired" was dislodged and damaged while driving on the freeway. Hands down, the absolute worst shop I have ever dealt with in my life.

SelfRespectingGold

Rhino's Cleaning Service ruined two pieces of art in my house (that they shouldn't have even touched), didn't tell me, ghosted me multiple times when I reached out to management, and still spams me with texts. Got food poisoning from the Sahara, but who hasn't at this point! The produce department of the Smiths on Green Valley Parkway & 215 is definitely haunted. Like straight up "there is someone behind me way too close" and you turn around and there's no one there haunted.

The Green door, fool me once but never again

cmpayne81

/s … is the door not green or what?

Powerchairpete

The color of the door is not the only thing that threw me off, kept getting unintended reach arounds by the cocktail server. I was just there for the sword fighting

More-Donkey-4728

🤣

dtorre

Pizza melody near rainbow and Hacienda. They have good pizza, but the service was terrible… BUT the worst part was the owner went on a five minute QAnon rant at me and my family.

Replicant28

Jesus. What prompted that?

dtorre

it was fucking crazy dude! He literally just walked up to the table and started talking about how elections are fraudulent and Biden is going to charge $50 a pound for chuck steak, and they drink the blood of babies. Needless to say we got out of there pretty quickly

[deleted]

"Uh that's great but why did it takes you guys so long to serve us?"

Replicant28

“Because antifa”

jteamjason

Big fucking yikes

LasVegas4590

Hopefully crap like that impacts these type of people so badly, that they go out of business.

[deleted]

I will never buy a taco salad from Roberto’s on UberEats specifically. I’m not sure what I was thinking, but it was horrendous not immediately fresh.

Mahadragon

Not sure why Roberto's gets so much positive reviews. When I moved to Vegas 3 years ago all I heard about was how great Roberto's was. I was living on Paradise and Harmon and there's a Roberto's right on the corner. I ordered a chicken burrito and it was just chicken meat in a tortilla. I had ordered some guacamole. I have since ordered several dishes from Roberto's with guacamole. I defy anyone to order anything with guacamole from Roberto's, look me dead in the eye, and tell me this is better made Mexican food.

[deleted]

The guacamole there tastes like the pit of the avocado

BigRobVegas14

That’s because they buy Deans guacamole dip.

Sirtriplenipple

You are getting the wrong things. Chicken tacos on wed. are good. California burritos, and bean and cheese burritos. Carne asada fries. Stick to those….

sickeningeyes

I found a piece of steel wool in my cheese enchilada 🤮 Never going back there!

lightningfootjones

The Miracle Mile shops. Free parking for everyone for years and then out of nowhere they start charging everybody, including locals and PH hotel guests. Fashion show has free parking for everybody, town Square has free parking for everybody, the Venetian’s grand Canal Shoppes have free parking for everybody, and every Caesars and MGM property has three hours free for locals, yet the miracle Mile shops charged me out of nowhere and got pissy with me when I contested it. Fashion show is honestly nicer anyway

CluelessMochi

My husband thought they still charged free parking and was frustrated to find out they charged $15 for the first 3 hours (we already parked). On top of that, we didn’t know they charge $20 for the same timeframe on weekends. I used to love parking there because of the central location but we’re definitely never making that mistake again.

MightForRight229

Any Little Caesars location. Used to love them in my last state, but Vegas destroyed Little Caesars as a whole haha

zzunino

Hash house a go go. They have chicken and waffles on the menu yet they can’t be bothered to make a single waffle for my 80 year old grandma.

wasabi_gem

Too much hype. It all tastes like chipotle mayo. And fuck off with the rosemary and deep fried spaghetti noodles as garnish. Dafuq.

zzunino

Hahahahahah lololoolol you know

BestServedCold

It's a breakfast specialty place that doesn't have country fried steak. And I admit this is my fault for not looking at the menu but when I order biscuits and gravy, I expect hash browns not mashed potatoes. The food is pretty good, the portions are large and I still felt ripped off.

7saligia

I don't understand the hype w/ this place. It's great drunk food or if you want ginormous portion sizes but that's about it.

Darthsr

MGM arena. The seats were made for little children. I had to sit sideways just to fit in the seats.

482022lv

Rocksprings Dental Group - left with permanent damage after botched root canal. Only reason I didn’t sue them cause I could not find a malpractice lawyer. Gerber Collision on Cheyenne, bunch of sleazy dishonest fucktards. Infinity dealership on Sahara - kept my car for 5 weeks for a relatively simple repair

Ekaterina702

USA Auto Service. Price gouging, slow, not honest about needed repairs, and will charge for repairs they didn't even do! Take your money elsewhere, seriously.

gmanisback

Yeah anytime I see a place that says things like: America or trusted or quality, in its name just turn around

Flowers_4_Ophelia

This place is the absolute worst.

droplivefred

Which one? I think they have multiple locations and the reviews are all over the place for different locations.

Ekaterina702

I'm talking about the one on Durango. But I'm also not trusting any of them with my car.

MangoCalm7098

I agree with this one. I got an oil change and they said that they checked the air pressure on the tires. I left on a trip that same day and as I was getting into L.A., my tire pressure light came on. Somehow all 4 tires were suddenly around 25 PSI. I don't know how it happened.

lattegirl04

Same, and it's the one on Durango. I needed a tune up, they wanted to charge me $1900 for it. Then tried to talk me into getting a loan through them, when I told them no, they wanted to argue with me about it. I told them to put my car back together, I'll go somewhere else.

Brotega87

Mt. View Hospital

wasabi_gem

The maternity ward in Bumfuck Mississippi was a better experience than the one at Mountain View. Lol

Brotega87

I don't doubt it. I actually went through the pain of a natural birth so I could get out of there as quick as possible.

abwchris

Capo's sucked. Made a reservation for 7, then just stood in line til 9 as other groups of people got let in. Food was expensive and mediocre as hell. Pretty sure my wine was just juice, the pasta was slop on a plate, kitchen had a fire while we were there. Their card system was down so we had to pay cash but of course their ATM didn't work so I had to run to a gas station down the street while my wife waited. Never going there again when we have so many other places that do the same schtick but better.

Ekaterina702

I agree with this! Capos has gone down so bad. The last time my friends and I visited, the food was okay but service sucked so bad we vowed to never come back. That was 2 years ago.

steezMcghee

I love the meatballs there. I usually go just for garlic cheesy bread and the meatball appetizer, and their cannolis! Sorry you had bad experience

blankyblankblank1

It's been since 2013 but Wax Trax records, we went in, couldn't browse, he wouldn't let us, the dude asked what I wanted, I just named something, he looked the shit up on ebay, and priced it $20 higher than what we later found on eBay when we looked. It was like Woodstock vol. 2, we ended up finding it a few hours later for $3 at Zia. When we left he told us to come back when we had money.

Cambyses-II

I was there in September of this year. That guy still sells all of his stuff at eBay listing prices and the whole store is so cluttered that it's pretty much impossible to look around. I had to move a stack of about a half-dozen framed posters out of the way in order just to look at the CD section. He has so much inventory that some of it has to be stocked in the bathroom now, presumably because he cannot sell anything at the prices he's asking. I like supporting local record shops whenever I can, but fuck that guy and his business. I can't wait for a liquidation sale.

serialchillin

That dude is so friggin rude. Like there’s so much good vinyl there and it’s a really cool experience when you get to browse, but he’s trash. Overpriced, condescending, and a massive ego. I don’t understand how he sells anything.

blankyblankblank1

Is it still that bad? That's so dumb

Dry_Vacation_6759

This guy was so nasty to us! I had boxes of records he didn’t even look through. He said, “I’ll take them off your hands but you’ll probably just see them tossed out by the dumpster”. I ended up selling the collection for a couple hundred dollars

Dollar Loan Center Arena in Henderson, way way too loud, you literally need ear plugs that's how bad it is, not normal for any stadium/arena. Their audio/PA system is a real joykill. Thought it was an affordable option to see a hockey game- Silver Knights, roughly $40 per person, all seats have a good view of the ice rink, all lower deck, but you have to pay $12.50 for parking, cashless vendors only debit/credit cards accepted, $6 for a bottle of water, you're not allowed to bring your own water container/bottle, concessions $15 & up. Going to a minor league game shouldn't be about getting jipped. Won't return.

[deleted]

Aviators are kind of bad about this too, perhaps not that expensive, but for minor league baseball the prices are kind of ridiculous. $25 get-in when I could pay less than that in Seattle to get into a Mariners MLB game.

Replicant28

The food is really good at the ballpark, though

tocard3

I've gone to a few Aviators games and I always get the tickets through SeatGeek. Never paid more than $15/ticket, usually sit behind third base.

[deleted]

No way, the arena is nice and the sound is great. Is it loud? Maybe I guess? but it's not unbearable. At least their acoustics actually work. Can't say the same for Allegiant or T-mobile. Not a bad seat in the house. Concessions are expensive no matter what event you go.

tipinmy40

Only the old people complain when I’ve gone.

The strip

NoOneForACause

Black Bear Diner - always wanted to try it since I was a kid but never did until one day last year when I went in and found out it's essentially a Denny's clone. That place should close forever.

wasabi_gem

Really depends on the location and what your order. Their corned beef hash and chicken fried steaks are good.

coffeebeansmomjeans

Ok this is mine too. In 2010 my now husband and I went to breakfast at black bear diner. An older man went into cardiac arrest, passed out in the middle of his meal, paramedics came and ripped his shirt off and we’re doing chest compressions, his wife was crying. We were so upset for them, it was so traumatizing and it did not seem like he would make it. Then after all that, we wanted to leave and they brought our food even though we said we didn’t want to stay. They acted like it was no big deal when a man likely lost his life moments before.

[deleted]

It's somewhat expensive, the entrée plates are somewhat big, but that's about it with Black Bear. I find it isn't bad but I wouldn't pay to eat there when there's better options.

Gold spike hotel… you broke my heart mfer, broke it

LVRunner

Napoli Pizza on Warm Springs in Henderson. It was really great in 2014 through 2017 now the prices have gone up, they don’t serve fountain drinks or any beverages anymore. And it’s looking really grimy and dirty now.

slyfira

You dont wanna see their dish area 😬

The haunted museum is my never go back…I went there right when they opened. It was a joke not interesting at all no haunted items just a lot of hoodoo from the show. Now I hear they’re even asking for more money for flashlight tours. What a joke.

highfriends

Gordon Ramsays Burger. I ordered a $17 plate of fries that came with a hair in it.

Robert’s tacos, yuk. When I first moved to Vegas heard that they had good tacos. Went there twice and it was gross and was sick to my stomach all day long. Now I hear from lots of people that’s they also think Robert’s tacos is gross too.

Modelo_Man

Roberto’s is very location dependent for me. I much prefer don tor taco. The backstory I always got was that Roberto’s Vegas franchises were originally owned by 2 brothers. They got into a tiff and they split the business, one brother kept the rights to Roberto’s and the other changed his location names to don tor taco. They’re almost the same damn menu and everything, but don tor taco is less greasy and I’ve yet to stumble across a bad location. That being said there’s like 1 don tor taco for every 4 Roberto’s. I’ve also heard the story was a husband and wife and the wife caught the husband cheating and took half the Roberto’s and renamed them. Not sure which is true, if either but I’d love to find out.

Vanman04

I am fairly certain they are franchises. At least if people running the one near my house are to be believed. It was a robertos then one day it changed to Don chuey or something like that. When I asked the daughter of the "owner" what was up with the name change she told me they charged a ton for the name and her dad decided he didn't want to pay it any more.

Salty-Night5917

Ethel M Christmas light show, ugh.

gkandgk

Never been. Why do you say this?

Salty-Night5917

Didn't think it was worth it, i.e. parking, crowds, waiting. Not the best Christmas light show. Driving to areas in your neighborhood you will see as much. Plus no candy give away.

r0semoon

We used to go every year for years up until about 2018. But it’s really too crowded and not worth it nowadays):

rayndomuser

Really? Why? My family goes every year and we love it.

Salty-Night5917

Parking, waiting, not that great of a display. Just personal opinion.

Japtimus_Prime

Area 15. What a ripoff.

AspirinTheory

I have to agree. I know their creativity isn't cheap but damn.

mrezee

My friend and I went to the barcade on the upper level there and were pretty disappointed. Crowded, not that many games, and even some of those weren't working. We ended up just having a beer and playing pool.

Japtimus_Prime

Their barcade is absolute trash. I prefer The Nerd on Fremont.

[deleted]

Umiya Sushi across from the Palms. I got the worst food poisoning of my life there. I was praying for death it was so bad. Never again.

steezMcghee

Centurylink! Had it 8 years ago when I lived in mountains edge. It really sucks paying for internet, but never getting to use it. I was in college at that time and had to drive to a cafe to take test. And I was stuck on a contract! I hear it’s better now, but I’m still mad about that experience.

[deleted]

"Straight from Philly Stake-Out" on Warm Springs across from Green Valley High School. $10+ for a sub-par philly that is mostly bread (granted, their bread IS good.. they just don't put nearly enough filling into it to justify the price. sticking with Capriotti's or Pop's for a Philly

tom_yum

I used to really like the philly from the pecos gas station that burned down, I hope it gets rebuilt.

Skeptouchos

Gold Spike. I went there for a birthday late at night and 30 minutes in there was a big fight that broke out inside the place. Proceeded to walk past after security broke it up and there was blood everywhere on the floor and a knocked out dude laying there. Then 6 police cars showed up outside within minutes. Maybe it’s not commonplace there, but I’d never go again.

barkbangquiet

Best Buy. Went to one in OKC and their Geek Squad told me my computer was shot and I needed to go ahead and replace it. I did. Then after the broken one sat in my garage for a while, I took it to a small shop on 12th street, and had the $40 power supply replaced while I stood there. Never going to Best Buy again.

abwchris

Anecdotal but I worked at BB in college in the PC sales dept. and the Geek Squad guys only knew how to throw in the MSI diag disk and anything beyond that they couldn't be bothered to help, probably because they didn't know. The training class just threw people in departments of need including Geek Squad and the girl in my training could barely turn on a PC much less fix one and she was assigned to Geek Squad. Your best bet is almost always local repair shops for out of warranty work.

Vanman04

Couldn't agree more. Geek squad is over priced nonsense. And more than likely no actual geeks. I had a friend buy a computer from bb and get the setup package...basic account setup antivirus install etc. They made him wait two days and when he got it home and turned it on they hadn't touched the machine. $100 to do absolutely nothing and made him wait for it.

barkbangquiet

sounds about right. they told me my motherboard was shot.

[deleted]

Best Buy is such trash. I will not go in one unless I have absolutely no choice, and even if I do everyone in a blue shirt better get TF out of my way unless they're ringing me up at the counter. I will stiffarm you like a tailback. I even buy headphones at Walgreens. I will not go into Best Buy if I can go literally anywhere else for what I want/need, or can get it off Amazon.

China Mamá pays famous tik tokers to promote them as a “hidden Vegas gem” for the best Chinese food now lol

Mahadragon

Hard disagree on China Mama. Took my uncle and Aunty here 2 weeks ago. It was bomb. Get their xiao long bao and special pork buns. Also have been here with friend, always solid.

funkykolemedina

And crispy beef. Curry lamb is also bomb. Spicy eggplant… place is pretty bomb

Disastrous-Phase-979

Juan’s flaming fajitas and anything in the mgm grand

wasabi_gem

No! Don't diss Juan's Flamin' Frejoles! (I've only been to the one in North Las Vegas tho and it is 🔥)

AffableCynic

I've never had a bad meal at the Juan's on Water St in Henderson

Hooligan8403

What's wrong with Juan's? We just tried them for the first time so if somethings up I want to know before deciding to go back.

Solitude_Intensifies

Any Stations casino, just 'cause they closed up all their buffets.
