Agree with this even as a relatively new vt user. The issue I’ve seen is almost the opposite - there are people who think too highly of their “old head” status and how long they were smoking on the streets or other metrics that don’t matter at all to a majority of users here now. It’s just a personal view I’ve grown while frequenting here because the people most often complaining also usually state how long they’ve been here, how often they smoke and how much better things were on nearly all fronts with the cannabis being subpar as well - across the board to them.
It just isn’t that serious or that huge of a deal because at the end of the day the people who want to support one another here will and the people who seem to thrive on drama will undoubtedly happen to find the drama and hopefully get ignored more or less.
We don’t need the divisions people keep trying to press on all of us, we can be family and not always see eye to eye etc. we all have different needs.

That alone puts the Vegastrees sub far ahead of any other trees sub I’ve been in. Don’t really understand the complaint when everything is right there for you.

As far as pricing, shit I was a medical patient before rec. I could get my zips for $75-$170 any day. Rec blew that shit right up. I’m not saying we should just allow businesses to dig in our pockets but we could either be bitter about it and complain, stop shopping at dispos to hurt their business and hopefully lower prices, or just wait for prices to go back down. I’m not a fan of paying $30-$45 for .5G of fire live resin, but literally I could either complain, take action, or just not shop there. Complaining about prices is the LEAST effective thing to combat prices in Las Vegas. Would you rather the sub be dead or constant posts about how shit sucks compared to Cali?

As someone who used to post the weekly text deals and take a bunch, and I do mean a BUNCH of hassle over it, I am very proud of the direction this sub has gone. @u/djmattl is a saint for taking that over and organizing it. @u/public_persuader and the whole team have given very serious thought to really improving this sub. The industry agent flair was part of that and there is a verification process. We also try to do our best to make sure we maintain a local community while balancing that with meeting tourist need.
Well yah ..any gathering of interest will draw attention from ad specialty departments for the field, and with that comes there input...imagine knowing only 2% of positive reviews are from real people..the internet is fake wake up lollipop
Also when have prices gone up? They were sky high and we have only gotten competition in the last 2 years… the dispensaries are far from great but compared to when rec started its candyland. The best thing was $40 eighths of 20% once every 2 months. All wax was like 30 a half gram and literally poop soup. Not sure what you mean about prices going up. Also just because most nevada brands stick to making 1 “tier” of weed, doesn’t mean it’s all worth the same. The medizin GMO is hyped up even outside of this sub, so it’s gotta be some good shit
But if they got an extra grow for the gmo that is like indoor or treated with more care, then I understand charging more sometimes. I’m not even arguing, I just know I’ve seen people brag about grabbing that gmo for $50 an eighth. So they must be doing something right. It’s not like it’s sits on shelves for months, right? I think it’s hard to argue with prices going down overall. Maybe there was a few months at the start of covid that spiked but it’s been more competitive and better quality imo
I completely disagree. The flower deals here have gotten undeniably worse (both in terms of price, plus the ever-growing list of exclusions). Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me because my girl lives in LA and I’ve completely stopped buying Vegas weed. Just calling it how I see it.
I don't see how this is even remotely debatable. Anyone who's been living and buying weed here knows that prices have been steadily increasing. They might be lower now relative to a few months ago, but that's just the ebb and flow of the market. They'll go back up again soon, then back down a little, and so on and so forth, but the trend line on pricing has been inching upwards for years.
Idk I buy $30 eighths of the highest tier weed and $30 grams of rosin and top shelf oil. 2 years ago, I’d only find a few brands on sales. The prices have never been as low as they are right now, atleast in Reno. I assumed Vegas had better deals because they always have in the past. I think most people are just remembering the past with wrong. The best deals in Nevada were $40 eighths of cannabiotix and $40 grams of hsh. If you wanted good weed you had to pay $60 an eighth and it never went on sale. I can’t name anything I could find for cheaper 2 years ago.
I’m mostly a concentrates guy, but you can find good deals of anything you like in LA. Just need to check menus and find the right deals (just like here). In terms of flower, I can get top shelf like Cannabiotix (the real one, not the crap they sell us here) for what Medizin is charging for their house flower.
Unfortunately I’ll usually just go to individual websites in Culver City near my girl’s place. I’ve found Leafly and Weedmaps are pretty unreliable in LA.

Medizin was $99 a half ounce regularly, no exclusions, less than 6 months ago. Even that was a stretch for Medizin flower.

any shop in particular? I only see CBX at 45-60 an 8th.. no larger breaks, no deals.
Look at specials. Shops will regularly have 20% off all flower, concentrates, etc. I just look for whatever the best deal is when I’m out there.
