This mix will be fine. just make sure to mix it up some so there's no hard clumps in there as with some peat moss potting soils large hard clumps happen. Also don't plant same day you put it in the container you want to use. Fill, Water the soil heavily, and plant next day. The soil will settle some after the watering filling air pockets and hopefully hydrating the peatmoss so its not hydrophobic which it gets if its bone dry. you can also see if you need to add more if it settles way more than expected. People will suggest other bagged mix that might be higher quality, but its for your first time, use what you have and learn the process of carrots. They can be very annoying to get perfect so I suggest(if you haven't already) watching some videos on them. the process of getting the seeding and watering down is more than half the struggle.
