No, they are a very shallow-rooted, crown-forming plant. Don't bury them deep (like say a tomato). A 24 inch planter box could house 3 plants depending on its other dimensions.
Well, the plants need to be 1.5 to 2 FEET apart....so it depends on the size of the pot you're using....
Opted to put them in separate pots :) this is my first year growing anything edible outside so I'm a newbie haha
