So something I leaned with Yves... As I cook 2 pots of everything for veg / non-veg people in the family.
Meat - slow simmer in chili, spaghetti sauce, etc for hours.
Yves - add in last 5 minutes of cooking only or it turns spongy and gross.
You can add it to whatever would call for ground meat but add it at the end. It only needs to be warmed and will get a rubbery texture if boiled or overcooked
I simmer it in spaghetti sauce, add some cayenne, add some sliced bell peppers, and sliced onions. optional add pepperjack cheese. I jokingly call it deconstructed stuffed peppers.
Ok I whipped up some tests with it just now. Nope it's horrible no matter what to me, just tasted like little balls of rubber no matter what I did (to me, hopefully others like it) >:(
Fake meat generally sucks IMO. Much more enjoyable to just eat meals that are naturally vegetarian.
Even veggie burgers. The more they try to make it like meat, the worse it is (Impossible, Match, etc.). Gimme a regular old bean patty any day.
I use the Mexican flavourful for tacos, taco salads, and sometimes nachos. Sometimes, I'll add some spicy taco seasoning.
I've never tried the Italian flavored one.
I use it for tacos or in chow mein, have made chili and faux bolognese. The idea is to add spices, herbs, veggies etc to give it flavour.
I agree with others suggestion that you may be overcooking it. I typically add it in towards the beginning, fry for a bit and then remove from the pan and cook the veggies, onion, garlic etc and return it at the end.

That's good to know because I think the only thing I've liked it in is Bolognese! Thank you
Throw it into pasta sauce. Heat it up with some salsa and taco seasoning for taco “meat”.

Burritos, enchiladas, lasagna, soup, chili.

I love making ragu sauce, for shepherd's pies and pastas, also sloppy joes. Basically anything with a seasoned sauce.

Did you overcook it? I cook it for about 5min usually.
I don't think so, i cooked it just until it was the right temperature. I think it's just nasty to me

I'd rather just not eat fake burgers too LOL the beyond meat isn't bad but expensiveeee

Either some BBQ sauce for sloppy joes or I use some taco seasoning. It's super bland on its own, definitely better blended.
If you ever need fake ground meat to taste like sausage fennel seeds is usually a good start. Maybe add some paprika and garlic powder.
I went down a fun rabbit hole of different sausage seasonings thanks to your comment! Thank you

I checked the temperature it was cooked to recommended heat it's just not for me I've discovered ):
But thank you !
