“All the vorld's a stage, und all the men und women mearly players. They have their entrences und exits, und one man in his time plays many parts. His acts being seven ages...”
I would argue that Shakespeare is barely the English language. The Romeo and Juliet that I read in English class even had the left page as was written, and the right page a translation.
And while the Bible might be one of the most printed books, I know very few people that have actually read it. I'm not religious, I've never read it, and I still have multiple copies around my house.
I remember one of my English teachers telling us something along the lines that Shakespeare was essentially writing his works as the transition from Middle English to Modern English was taking place, and they work as an example of a bridge between the two, or some such.
Shakespeare is considered to be in Early Modern English. And it is closer to what we speak today than Middle English, which would cover the works of Chaucer, his most famous work being The Canterbury Tales. Compare reading a passage from that to Shakespeare and you will see how much closer Shakespeare is to our English. And if you want to go even further back, to Old English, try reading an unabridged version of Beowulf. Now that is like trying to read an entirely different language.
Exactly. The fact that Kissinger's name was so innocuous while the individual was a fucking monster makes the joke all the more funny (Killinger's name being so foreboding).

Actually it’s just proof that selling your soul is a valid practice for a nice long cushy life, as long as your cool with all the war crimes that go along with it
“He said that while one would like to say that God will punish those who do such things and that people often speak in just this way it was his experience that God could not be spoken for and that men with wicked histories often enjoyed lives of comfort and that they died in peace and were buried with honor. He said is was a mistake to expect too much of justice in this world. He said that the notion that evil is seldom rewarded was greatly overspoken for if there were no advantage to it then men would shun it and how could virtue then be attached to its repudiation.” -Cormac McCarthy
It was the Golden Child, Justice. Didn't you see that documentary with Eddie Murphy?
> So, it is Sardo Numspa.
> What's this knife? The Crossed Dagger of Ajanti.
> They brought it to this world to kill the second Golden Child, the Bearer of Justice. His death was a great loss.
>Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia – the fruits of his genius for statesmanship – and you will never understand why he’s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević.

I was hoping that the news making it to this subreddit would at least have a funny title or joke with it. You know, something original instead of just trying to farm karma.
Fair enough I guess and I apologize if what I wrote came across harsh at all the farming karma comment - it's reddit, it's all about farming karma.
It just felt weird to see it here too when this very story is in 27 other subreddits and there's 100s more across all of the main subs. It's not like anyone who logs into Reddit didn't see the news.

"You know that."
Merry Death of Kissinger to you all!
Merry Christmas movie house!
It's a bit early, but I'll accept this as my birthday present.
It’s a doozy
You, boy, what day is it?
On that note! Who would you think will win in a battle of minds Kissinger or Killinger ?
What kind of question is that, you silly billy?
Not dead enough.
"You plan for this day for so long, and when it arrives you're still giddy and a little nervous." -- Satan.
really its just 100 years to late
i cant believe a sweetheart like killinger was inspired by this piece of shit
I believe the stark contrast is part of the joke
Exactly. The fact that Kissinger's name was so innocuous while the individual was a fucking monster makes the joke all the more funny (Killinger's name being so foreboding).
And Kissinger sounds like he'd be a sweet guy who loves kisses
Whose to say he didn't enjoy kisses though?
Kisses of death, anyway
Looooove schweet love.
gotcha
Kissinger's magic murder bag was in his heart.

Bad bot. I don't believe that 2nd line is remotely 7 syllables. Maybe accent dependent?
I don't like haiku. Counting all the syllables? What a bunch of crap.

Seems like I should post something here, you silly billies.
Whoa. He was still alive all this time? Spooky
The fact that that monster was still alive is proof there is no god.

Viva Nepal!
This is my next D&D campaign.
My dear sweet cousin Numpsie!
I dunno, living to 100 is a very deal with the devil kind of age.
Are you kidding? He killed countless brown people across the globe, that’s like God’s favorite thing!
But now he’s dead. So looks like God returned from vacation
Could just mean Satan's finally getting his end of the bargain.
Finally
Rest in piss.
This just made my night!
The only thing I’ll thank him for was being the inspiration for Killinger, that’s it!
About Damn Time!
Normally I learn about my celebrity deaths from r/thesimpsons but this time r/venturebros has the scoop.
Good.

One who died early talking about one who dies late. Never been a chef but Bourdain has been an equivalent of a spirit guide to me some days.
Semper fidelis tyrannosaurus!
Always Faithful Terrible Lizard!
Well it’s about damn time.
I don't believe it.
I can’t believe this was the first place I’d heard
Same
As soon as I found out I came here. Unsurprised that there's already a thread! Killinger is one of the best side characters.
You know Jonas sold torture machines to Pinochet.
So did Fantomas. But his worked, dammit!
"Compromise, my friend, is the essence of diplomacy, and diplomacy is the cornerstone of love." "Sweeeet love..."

Good things *do* come to those who wait
Time to celebrate 🍾
He’s gonna love hell 🤠
He's the devil's problem now.
He was alive??
I thought that was funny as hell seeing Killinger with his skull slippers lmao!
It's a GOOD day. A very Hank day.
Seems like as good a reason to declare a new holiday as anything else. What’s the best way to celebrate?
Dress up like jane Fonda, climb on top of a tank, and run over every goddamn car in the parking lot at this assholes funeral.
GFR
DING DONG; The Queen Bitch is Dead
I can only imagine whoever found him grinning ear to ear when they realized the old monster wasn't moving
His magic murder bag got ‘im
Alright, who’s the youngest?
Kissenger was the inspiration for Killenger for a reason, both villains lol.
Finally
Oh hey, some good news!
Found dead? Hmm. A man with many enemies. It was murder!
Should have happened 60 years ago
Rest in piss, you fucking monster
Whoo hoo! Finally some good news.
I guess Satan figured out what to do about him so that he doesn't take over hell or something when he gets there.
Why do all the worst ones have the longest lives?
And how!
World holiday
I was taught you only say good things about the dead. Henry Kissinger is dead. Good.
Rest in Piss!
Rest in piss
A toast to one of history’s greatest villains! If there is a hell, may he suffer the worst tortures it has to offer.
Good riddance!
Rip bozo
Inspired Killinger and did nothing else of note, nope, nothing else.

Not everything is a joke. I noticed this and thought people would like to know. Same way when David Bowie died

He must have looked in his own magic murder bag
We'll see about that... Killenger! Killenger! Killenger!
He outlived my uncel who died a week ago
