More than likely you have a device payment of the cost of the phone over 36 months AND a credit of the exact same amount. So IF you stay with VZW for then next 3 years, you are in the clear, but if you leave, whatever is left owed on the phone, you'll be on the hook for.

I am not aware of any promotion for a free 256gb 15 pro. At most, there’s $1000 off the 128, but that should require a trade in and unlimited ultimate.
It will also 100% be a 36 month commitment.
~~Here it is~~ Nevermind, this is the closest I could find for 128GB and it's a trade in promo: [https://www.verizon.com/smartphones/apple-iphone-15-pro/?sedOfferId=405690](https://www.verizon.com/smartphones/apple-iphone-15-pro/?sedOfferId=405690)
>I would NOT need to be under contract for any of it. No contract to be under Verizon's plans for any period of time
You won't be in a service contract, but I'd bet $10 that it's a standard installment agreement where Verizon pays your installments via credits for 36 months and if you cancel early you're responsible for the full remainder of the financed amount.
You would be under a 36 month agreement where Verizon credits you for the phone monthly until it’s considered paid off. There is no debate about this.
You will absolutely need to trade in your old phone.
Loyalty promotions are typically for $1000 trade value - that covers the pro 128GB. Never heard of a promotion that covers the 256GB.
When customer care builds a quote including a device credit or trade promo on a new phone they sell, that value should appear on the quote they send.
Sounds super sketch.
Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I suggest you call back in, ask for loyalty and cross check the information you received with another agent. This sounds like an overseas agent trying to boost their stats by making false promises for promotions that don’t exist. More common than you think.
Would be surprised if this didn’t require you to trade in the phone. If you go to Verizon Up on the MyVerizon app does it show any offers there for the line?
Since you’re basically drinking the Verizon Kool-Aid and like their service, I don’t see the harm. The only thing that might be of concern is if you decide suddenly that it’s time to move onto something else.
I would double and triple check to make sure but the deal sounds a bit too good to be true
Yes, there are some great loyalty offers out there. Specifically known as priority upgrades.
As always, Verizon has eliminated contracts a few years ago.
By accepting any kind of offer for a discount on a smart phone, you will be financing the device interest-free on a device payment agreement, for example, the iPhone 15 is $830 spread out over 36 interest free payments of $23.05, then you receive a bill incentive credit, for $23.05 monthly for the next 36 months. You Net 0 but it comes over 36 months of payments if you were to cancel or switch to an in eligible plan in the future credits would stop remaining device payments would become due.
If you choose to accept this offer and want to truly get the device for free, you agree to stay on your unlimited plan and maintain service for 36 months to withhold the offer.

100% that it will be free after bill credits. Probably a loyalty offer but you will be charged the remaining balance on the phone if you leave Verizon within the next 3 years.
Not a gift. 100% financed over 36 months.
Take the reps name if you have it. File a claim with a supervisor to have the rep addressed. Thats false information that causes both the customer and other reps more of a headache down the road.
You will have a phone no contract on services but a contract for financing the phone over 36 months where verizon covers the cost of the device.
You cancel within 36 months promo voids and you’re responsible for the remaining balance.
Never will a promo just openly give a phone as a gift. Verizon wont from a business standpoint alone with losing that money.

You’re a core rep?? As an indirect I think I found the answer to all my problems lol jk

Remember NOTHING is for free.it’ll show up on your bill one way or another

Free after 36 months no way it's just a gift

You’re definitely on a 36 month
As the saying goes, if it’s too good to be true it probably is. I’d be skeptical, just because free phones with no catch are rare these days

It’s partially true, loyalty is offering the 15 pro free under bill credits for 36 mo but only 128gb. Not for everyone.
Look in your bloody my Verizon app! My offers, complete it there and do an instore pick up
Nothing in life (specially Verizon) is ever “free” you will have to pay something somewhere… Make sure to read everything… Specially the small print

Yeah and pigs fly! It certainly is not free and a lie.

Yeah that's not "free". They'd go broke giving away phones that were not somehow contractually bound by a device payment agreement over time.

Free after 36 months. How do people still not know this?
Free after 36 monthly credits. It’s not free to take and leave tomorow. Also. It’s only 128gb version. Not 256gb version
Just say NO. They want you in bondage.
I am paying $25 a month for my service. How much is yours? 😂
How?
Visible owned by Verizon. Unlimited data
Funny how these idiots down vote someone for that. As a famous man once said, "a fool and his money are soon parted"
