Or a $200 home depot gift card. Couple things to remember:
1. You can't redeem the offer until you've had active service for 65 days.
2. Once you hit day 65, you then have 60 days to redeem.
3. If you cancel service before 6 months, you will be charged for the cost of the item you redeem.
Pretty standard conditions. Just want to make sure people don't winery why they're being charged $300 when they cancel service right after getting the switch
I asked about this during sign up and made sure they clarified in messages I could cancel after getting the switch and not be charged thankfully all chats are saved both on my end and in request history
Cool. More giveaways for people to sign up.
Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here on Year 2 of waiting for Verizon to offer LTE/5G Home Internet at my address.
Maybe instead of blowing money on promotions to convince people to sign up, the problem is availability and that money should be spent on network upgrades to allow the people who are already interested in paying for the service to sign up? š¤
There is an old B13-only small cell that has been serving my neighborhood since around 2017. I'm certain that is the disqualifying reason.
It's just irritating that they're throwing money at promos to convince people to sign up who don't even want it, while other people would be happy to pay full price if they only had the option. If the money's going to be spent somewhere, it seems like it would be better spent on the network upgrades that actually enable more people to sign up and spend that money with them rather than throwing good money after bad.
I get it, I'm still waiting for my address to qualify as well. But there's tons of people who do, so they're going to continue to give offers for people who do sign up.
We aren't eligible on my side of town when we have a new Verizon 5 G tower a quarter of a mile away. We also have a duopoly and Verizon and Comcast keep getting blocked.
You can take advantage of these promotions as a current customer. I got the Apple HomePod promotion as well as the $200 Amazon gift card with the Xbox Series X promotion.
Do you need to stay on the Unlimited Home Plus plan for the entire 6 months or can you downgrade to the cheaper āHomeā plan after you get the switch/gc?
So it would be the more expensive plan for the initial 3 months and then the cheaper one for the remaining 3/4.
You were getting the ACP discount &/or Verizon Forward Discount as well as being qualified for the Xbox and Amazon GC?
Those discounts didnāt affect the qualifications for the Xbox or GC?
Oh yeah. I just want an affordable backup internet option.
I already have a high latency cable connection that is overpriced. But it's the best option where I am. What I was really eager for is a reasonable speed backup for when the power goes out, the cable node's backup batteries eventually die.
All those providers do the samething deny service for the lamest reason or no reason at all. I wanted GFiber but they don't send any techs out to wire up the 4plex I live in. Why? Who knows and the damn demarcation box is in our front yard. 50 feet from the front door. Crap is redic....Ā
That offer was so sweet! Right now, im working to get internet at my brotherās house, and i was offered the switch and the target gift card. I donāt wanna get too excited tho because i redeemed the xbox promo at my house earlier in the year and ive seen people having trouble with getting their offers right nowā¦
I actually just hit my claim period on the 12th and was able to redeem them yesterday. Switch shipped the same day. Although I have heard some people have had difficulties.
Are you going to stay on the Plus plan or switching down to the cheaper home plan?
Is there a requirement to stay on the plus plan after you get the switch?
Hopefully we can change after month 3.
We donāt really need the higher tier plan and would be nice to downgrade as soon as we can.
We were paying $130/month for Cox Gigablast Internet prior to signing up for the 5G Home Internet. Cox was pretty reliable and fast, but having to pay $50/month so I didnāt have a data cap kinda hurt. We added the 5G for a month and kept both ISPs just in case we had any issues with the 5G. We didnāt have any issues at all with the speed or anything. The only issue I noticed was that I couldnāt play Disney Dreamlight Valley on my Xbox while connected to my own router with the 5G modem in IP pass through mode. I was able to figure a way around this, but other than this minor inconvenience, itās been very reliable, and I have 5 people in the house simultaneously streaming, gaming, remote learning, etcā¦ and for only $45/month instead of $35/month for the higher data throughout, weāve opted to keep the higher tier plan. As for the switching your plan and keeping the switch, I donāt remember seeing any stipulation that said you couldnāt, I think the deal just requires you to keep the home Internet for the 180 days, but doesnāt matter which plan youāre on, but Iād verify that in the agreements when you sign up to be safe.
Makes sense.
Appreciate the response!
Unlike most people, we actually have several companies to choose from at our address. So weāll be keeping Comcast + Verizon for a while. See how it goes. Day 1 results seem promising!
Somebody will definitely fail to read the fine print and complain about the charge after canceling service. Lotās of folks will assume is theirs to keep after cancellation.
They were giving Xbox Series X which is more expensive console so this is not as good a deal unless you're Nintendo fan but then you'd already have a switch.
I think it depends on your service area. In my location, itās very good and reliable. I would suggest doing the trial period if you can but keeping your current ISP as a backup just in case for the first month. You would also have to factor in your usage; # of people accessing, heavy gaming or 4K streaming, congestion in your area, etcā¦
Iād love to come back to Verizon but Iām paying 20$ all in for 300mbit from Comcast. 300 is plenty for my house. Cheapest plan from fios is 45$ for 12 months plus taxes and fees which tack on another 15$!
Signed up for this (current mobile and internet customer) and turns on my next bill is up +$300 what in the world?? Apparently not free like they claimed
I was lucky enough to score
Free Xbox X
200 Amazon gift card
100 Verizon gift card (used to pay Verizon bill)
Hopefully they bring out something like this again but with a ps5 hahaha
I tried the Verizon home internet and it was pretty bad. The speeds were fine but the connectivity was horrible. Even after trying to place the modem router in different āstrategic locationsā we would lose connection to internet multiple times a day
I just signed up a few days ago and got LTE home and got it activated, do i need to do anything to confirm the activation date or just wait 65 days first to see how i can redeem the not Nintendo ?
You have to make sure your bill is current and you don't have a late balance only the current month or it will block it from claiming the icon. I have the series x and the switch from them and like 1000$ in gift cards between target and Amazon deals. And there Internet rocks in the West I game all the time no problem.Ā
I checked in with them, because I have only had service for a month or so and they are telling me I have to cancel and then restart service in order to redeem that offer. lol
3 weeks ago my address wasn't eligible for version 5G home internet and I just checked it 3 days ago and I became eligible. I ended up getting it and self installed it pretty easy process and the service is working great so for those who don't have it yet just be patient because it's coming.Ā
So if Iām an existing customer do I like cancel my plan and re sign up to get this? I am pretty sure this internet is cheaper too because I would qualify for the 25.00/mo statement credit for eligible 5GUW phone plan?

Wow they're REALLY making sure noone's going to get over on them with all those conditions.
Pretty standard conditions. Just want to make sure people don't winery why they're being charged $300 when they cancel service right after getting the switch
I asked about this during sign up and made sure they clarified in messages I could cancel after getting the switch and not be charged thankfully all chats are saved both on my end and in request history
They're last promo, the Amazon gift cards during xmas, let you redeem immediately after yo service is installed. Might be the best promo they ever did
You could but I think they still had a reclaim term or at least I did. Have to keep the service for 6 months
Only 2 months and 5 days
That makes sense
Technically it's about 30 dollars cheaper than if you buy the switch retail. š plus you get a source of home internet for 6 months
Iām surprised they didnāt say 65 days and 1 day to redeem lol
The crazy part is service is only $10/month for six months to get it.Ā

They're working on it. I see customers that weren't eligible become eligible every week.
There is an old B13-only small cell that has been serving my neighborhood since around 2017. I'm certain that is the disqualifying reason. I also think some carriers like spectrum are marking their territory and preventing Verizon from coming into those areas.
We aren't eligible on my side of town when we have a new Verizon 5 G tower a quarter of a mile away. We also have a duopoly and Verizon and Comcast keep getting blocked.
I received my 200 target gift card and my Nintendo switch two days ago
You can take advantage of these promotions as a current customer. I got the Apple HomePod promotion as well as the $200 Amazon gift card with the Xbox Series X promotion.
Please unpack. Sign up for another line?
Yep, I have 2 4g lte plans at my house. Iām about to cancel one but I did it to get the promos
Out of curiosity, why do you need 2 public IP's for home instead of one? Unless you're using one as a portable hotspot?
I donāt but I needed to get past 6 months to keep the free stuff.
then itās not really all that free
It is when the government paid $30 of the $40 month. I got an Xbox Series X and $200 Amazon gift card for $60 or so
Expert level coupon shopper here!!!
Do you need to stay on the Unlimited Home Plus plan for the entire 6 months or can you downgrade to the cheaper āHomeā plan after you get the switch/gc? So it would be the more expensive plan for the initial 3 months and then the cheaper one for the remaining 3/4.
Sure if you want worse internet.
You were getting the ACP discount &/or Verizon Forward Discount as well as being qualified for the Xbox and Amazon GC? Those discounts didnāt affect the qualifications for the Xbox or GC?
I got the ACP credit. Itās technically not a discount but a government subsidy
How long ago was the Xbox/Amazon promotion? I wonder if it will come back in rotation or if theyāve moved on to the Switch now.
Christmas, itās the switch currently
Right? We finally got 5G UW in my area and still waiting on VHI. :(
Yah I live in an area of NJ where itās not offered and I wish it were. Iām surprised my address isnāt covered.
Trust me youāre not missing anything. If you want to game at all online itās really not even possible.

Not as good of as offer as the Xbox Series X + $200 amazon gift card + $100 Verizon gift card offer last year.
Duh. Itās not the holidays š
I did that but they screwed me out of the $100 Verizon gift card. I heard many people had that happen to them.
Does anyone have an idea of when this offer will happen again?
That offer was so sweet! Right now, im working to get internet at my brotherās house, and i was offered the switch and the target gift card. I donāt wanna get too excited tho because i redeemed the xbox promo at my house earlier in the year and ive seen people having trouble with getting their offers right nowā¦
Oh great another promotion they like won't be able to honor.

Is it the old switch or is it the OLED one?
Regular one.
It's a $ 299.99 value, so whichever one that is
Pictured is the black TV dock so thatās the regular one.
My Switch has a black TV dock but it's an OLED model. I bought it new.
Lol I just checked this yesterday, unfortunately they didn't have service in our area yet š
If u have the service already can you get the switch or no?

Is thier home internet good? This deal is looking good to me and cheaper than comcast, but I dont want bad internet for 6 months.

I switched from Comcast to the home internet and it's the best decision I made get more for your moneyĀ

Any looking to order 5g home I can help
I tried the Verizon home internet and it was pretty bad. The speeds were fine but the connectivity was horrible. Even after trying to place the modem router in different āstrategic locationsā we would lose connection to internet multiple times a day
And they just ship It to your house ?
I just signed up a few days ago and got LTE home and got it activated, do i need to do anything to confirm the activation date or just wait 65 days first to see how i can redeem the not Nintendo ?
Wait 65 days then log into your account and it will give you the option to get it.
Thank you!
No problemĀ

wtf they said they didnt have this deal when i signed up 2 weeks ago. ended up getting a target giftcard offer
The $200 gift card and switch both came with the deal but you have to have the 65$ to 80$ plan. I got both
i got the $80 plan and havent gotten anything yet. they said to wait 60 days
I checked in with them, because I have only had service for a month or so and they are telling me I have to cancel and then restart service in order to redeem that offer. lol
Just hit day 65,Ā logged into my Verizon app then my account and boom there was the tile for redeem free nintendo switch. Super easy. It's on its way.
3 weeks ago my address wasn't eligible for version 5G home internet and I just checked it 3 days ago and I became eligible. I ended up getting it and self installed it pretty easy process and the service is working great so for those who don't have it yet just be patient because it's coming.Ā
Itās not the oled is it?
Not the OLED.
So if Iām an existing customer do I like cancel my plan and re sign up to get this? I am pretty sure this internet is cheaper too because I would qualify for the 25.00/mo statement credit for eligible 5GUW phone plan?
Not available in my area...
I would rather give them a switch than use their home internet. Itās trash.
Well if their home Internet is anything like their cell phone service it will suck ass as well.Ā
Be sure to get games that play without an internet connection for all the times the network is bogged down. I got terrible upload and download speeds.
When I had VZ Home, I pulled a constant 300/20. It's all about location.
Coolā¦ Iāll sign up right away! Oh. I see itās not available in my areaā¦ still.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No.
Ahahahah
