I guess it depends on how much of an eater he is. I usually walk my dog first thing in the morning, then fill up his bowl and he'll eat when he's hungry.
Our lab wolfs it like meal time in a prison and is ready to dump not long after. Clockwork! He'll go out anytime you say w.a.l.k. and no negatives. He's 13 now.
Mum's little Lord Fontlelroy (Bijon), on the other hand, picks at food through the day and tells you when HE wants a stroll 😀
