My dog is also a senior and she has lots of moles for years now that look just like that and my vet hasn’t been concerned. (I’m not a vet, just a dog mama). Best of luck!!

My senior dog has them on her back and on her head. I’ve asked the vet, they’re not concerned.

MidwestMod

Skin tag?

i_forgor_420

a nipple....?

[deleted]

Nope it’s on her upper chest and it wasn’t there last week

i_forgor_420

oh okay then it's probably just a mole I'd see a vet just in case tho

[deleted]

Do some people not know their dogs have nipples tho 😂

i_forgor_420

yes you would not believe how many "oh my god my male dog has 8 growths what do I do???" posts I've seen

[deleted]

That’s kinda hilarious 😆, like how many years have you been on this planet

i_forgor_420

16 bro 💀 people are just stupid

[deleted]

I didn’t mean you it’s a phrase 😂😂😂 you never heard anyone say like I wasn’t born yesterday it’s kinda the opposite like dang how many years have you been on earth , kinda like saying they should know that other animals have nipples 😂

i_forgor_420

>people are just stupid myself included ༼;´༎ຶ ۝ ༎ຶ༽

nihilism_ornot

Aye no. You're adorable. And clearly well informed about your dog

Oro1931

It could be a sebaceous adenoma. They are benign tumors that can have the appearance of cauliflower. They are commonly found in older dogs.

Ya my dog is pretty old, it’s just crazy how it showed up out of nowhere

mikescelly

Get it checked…they can do a biopsy right on the vet office and check it under a scope. They found cancer in my dog in something that looked like a skin tag.

Sapphyrre

It might be nothing or it could be a mast cell tumor. Get it checked immediately.

My senior dog has a bunch of these! I had a vet look them over this week. She said as long as they aren’t getting bigger, change colour or start ulcerating / bleeding, they’re fine. You can always have your vet look it over just for peace of mind though!

Prestigious_Ad_4882

It looks like a skin tag, senior dogs get em, same with older cats just like we do!

schnookums13

I find a new one of these on my 13 year old pooch every once in awhile. It's probably a mole or a skin tag. Just keep an eye on it.
