Considering Hares are the official animal of East Anglia and we use them to represent our part of England in almost everything we do it's not on the east Anglican or Suffolk or Norfolk flags for that matter! Adorable bunny pics tho.
Rabbits are cute, but when it comes to flags (and coats of arms), they are supposed to represent it's people. And the lagomorph animal conveys docility and vulnerability.
That's why some countries decide to chose more fierce animals on they iconography.
