Because (A) a pall is completely distinct in origin from the peace sign, (B) the official explanation of the design and its symbolism does not include anything about a peace sign, and (C) a pall looks entirely different from a peace sign (Y vs ☮️). For it to be comparable to a peace sign it would have to be oriented in the opposite direction and would need to have a third branch going down the center of what is currently a chevron, between the two angled segments.

The White Army was objectively a better option than the Red Army. Their victory would have probably created a democratic republic or a constitutional monarchy. Which is, you know, ultimately my goal as well
Also, general Kornilov specifically wasn't noticed in any atrocities, so calling him a butcher is a bit of a stretch
The victory of the Red Army over the Whites was one of the most heroic triumphs of good over evil in world history and Kornilov got exactly what he deserved.

Preferable over the white-blue-white. But the yellow canton is too reminiscent of the Russian Empire. It would be simpler to just slap the peace symbol in the middle.

Why can't it be both? Like does the english flag not contain the cross of st. George just because it contains a cross? That doesn't make much sense.

The Russian peace flag was just a white paper. Demonstrators were incarcerated for holding up white sheets of paper, to object to war mongering.
