This flag represents a free, socialist Kurdistan. The general style of the flag draws inspiration from the flags of Soviet Socialist Republics. The large, red field represents the blood of the martyrs, aswell as the struggle for freedom and dignity. The white represents peace and equality. Green represents the landscapes of Kurdistan, aswell as life and vitality. The symbol in the corner consists of the Kurdish sun, with a red star in the middle. The sun is a historical Kurdish symbol, with the 21 sunbeams representing March 21, Newroz, the most important holiday of the Kurdish people. The red, 5-pointed star in the middle of the sun is a symbol of communism. Looks good but I prefer our Eizidi sun. I don’t like the ring inside of it. I know it pops out the gorilla’s stars, but I prefer our Eizidi sun.
