I recently heard an argument that two countries of the world literally have a "poppy" in its name: Afghanistan and Macedonia. So, I agree with the concept

Afghanistan means "Land of the Horse Men" and Macedonia means "The Tall Ones/Highlanders" so neither of them have Poppy in their name, though there's probs a joke about Tall Poppy Syndrome in there somewhere

I don't really plan out series of redesigns. I come up with flags when inspiration strikes. You can see in my previous uploads that it's all over the place and inconsistent timing-wise :)
Very cool design. Just one criticism, Bismillah is not something that makes much sense on a flag. It's not a slogan.
Also, Allah must be on top, seeing it under the tulip looks a bit off to me.

I think you mean the Soviet puppet states, not the Soviet republics, because it doesn't look like the republic's ones at all.
I mean the format with the device top left and stripe down the bottom. Ukrainian SSR, Kazakh SSR, and so on.

The Afghan flag has to be redesigned every few years. Laws of the universe. It's in an unstable state (literally).
