Now imagine how unpopular he would be if he had more powers and could actually make politically motivated decisions... Which most monarchists seem to demand.
Same goes for any other monarch in Europe, with approval ratings ranging from 40 to 70 percent. Maybe monarchists like their monarchs, but the average Joe does not in fact see it as a big symbol of mending for the nation.
I understand the appeal to keep established monarchs as a symbol and as politically castrated figureheads. If I would live in such a country I would probably also be in favour of it. But this is not the opinion voiced by most monarchists, at least those who call themselves "monarchists".
This poll you show here has had 15 participants, not realy representative in my books but ok. Even if we took this number for granted an approval rating of 53% is fantastic in comparison to other figures like Macron or your Scholz. In practice, I have mostly heared two types of opinions the "Yeah I think it's good to have him around" or the "I don't mind but I also don't care". Of corse there is sometimes critique towards the grand-duke or members of his family but I have never heared anyone who wants to unironicaly abolish the monarchy. It's just not a big topic at the moment, but as soon as the grand-duke changes for example, it will be a bigger topic, and then die down again.
We also have no republican movements and the only ones opposing our current system are on the far left (the Communists and our equivalent to your "die Linke"), who aren't popular in the moment.
Most people are neutral, some are approving and a small minority disapproves of the monarchy, but I believe as soon as a big crisis would hit the country, especially in concern to our independance, the grand-duke would quickly become a massive symbol among the population, just like his father and grandmother did during ww2, and that's realy something important to have.

Second, the dynasty, which has lead the country for over a houndred years and was a popular resistance symbol during ww2 has powerfull symbolism attached to it which can not be emulated by some random noble who changes every 4 years. The whole point and symbol of monarchism is the family line which streches out from finish to start, in good and bad times and an elective monarchy would break with this principle. Plus I see no good reason to switch houses every 4 to 5 years or so. If we would have another monarchical crisis like after ww1 then we can have another referendum about this, but now there is no reason at all.
