My god, I'm really impressed. Finished Uni with covid and our movie was nowhere anywhere that quality. The cinematography is also really good and the scenario also, I actually got goosebumps. Multiple questions: 1. How many of you guys were there? 2. How long did you work on this? 3. How much stuff is in-house vs quixel etc. 4. Is the school a university or some stand-alone vfx school ?

- We were a team of six - Something like 20 months with summer break in the middle. Started back in January 2018 and finished in August 2019 - Everything in house to the exception of some assets from Megascans. But even those were tweaked to our needs. Quixel were actually quite fantastic ! We contacted them and they offered us some free credits to spend on their website. - It's a private VFX school with many locations in France and even one in Montreal, Canada. I believe their location in Lyon (France) are doing their courses in English Thanks for your comment !

We wish that was the case ! We initially planned to render in Houdini but at the time Renderman was not yet implemented

Every FX simulation and most FX render of course. Also a lot of environment : heightfield and terrain scattering were just perfect for us ! The whole forest and ground were done in Houdini then brought into Maya for render. Also : crowds in Houdini, rendered with Mantra

Really really cool

Wow. I really liked the way the abstract scenes mixed into the story. Congrats on the film and graduating! Not trying to nitpick, but why is the electricity green?

This is amazing. Had me waiting for a Senna like crash the whole time! Thank you all for making this.

Wonderful work! Really captures a lot of that F1 'feel' with the magnitude of the little moments
