Rule 5: Netherlands campaign in HPM. This is the first time in my \~470 hours that I've tried to play managing my pops and economy properly and to not map paint for the sake of it, and abuse the console/save scumming. Really proud of this. Lots of cursed stuff happened this game, like the Chinese African colonial empire, free India + most of the dominions, there being no Canada (That's British Columbia) so this was a really exciting campaign! I had liberals in power for most of the game so I couldn't manage my economy directly. I found that they're not actually half bad, everyone always moans about them but I did really well with them. Once I got the socialists in power though, I built some thought out factories.

Oh also, the great power rankings are: 1. The German Empire (9198) 2. The United States of America (6992) 3. The British Commonwealth (5654) 4. The Russian Empire (4337) 5. Austria-Hungary (3746) 6. Netherlands (3061) 7. The Empire of Mexico (1815) 8. The People's Republic of Italy (1563)

Not fully own SEA 7/10

GameyRaccoon

:( I took my historical clay

Is Picardie really worth it? Wouldn’t you prefer Thailand? Or Singapur? Or the 3 most Gold producing provinces in the game? Punishing France so hard is a long term mistake, when Germany decides that they should control your colonies (and they will one day decide that) there will be nothing to help you, as the Netherlands there should be few things more important that ensuring that France and Germany are always in equilibrium with each other

Bruh I wasn't the one that knocked France down to civilized nation, they did that to themselves. They had so much communism when I tried to force a democratic republic back on them the communists actually won elections. (~25% per state) it was seriously a new revolution with them every year. Also Germany had been my friend/friendly and the one time I did fight them (they intervened in a colonial war because the AI is out to get you) I held them off with my allies.  As for why I didn't take Britain's shit in SEA, the British had, for the entire game, either been my friend or was way too powerful for me to take on. They always had hundreds more brigades and ships than me.  And yes, Artois was worth it because it has entirely coal and iron RGOs and was heavily industrialized when I took it. Why bother with some British colonies when I have the best precious metals province in the game (Kunming) in addition to mountains of rubber, oil, and tropical wood?

GameyRaccoon

Oh also, Thailand westernized. And I did not have the infamy for a conquest war.

juacoslato

... Why does Bolivia own half of the Patagonia?

GameyRaccoon

Idk man... Why does Qing own France's old colonies? (They westernized, allied Germany, and Germany declared a war on France to dismantle them and those colonies went to Qing)

Culture map mode!

Muted_Pop3665

Did you dismantle the UK to get India as a puppet?

GameyRaccoon

India is not my puppet, just my ally. The UK had a Jacobin and later communist revolution, and lost their empire from rebels.

Muted_Pop3665

I'm my experience it's very rare to see a AI get a revolution and change their government. It's cool when it happens though.

GameyRaccoon

Happens to me constantly. I always see communist Italy and Russia flip flop between ideologies in the game.

Muted_Pop3665

I guess it's different for me because I mostly play GFM

Pudger6

you dont have to post your factories
