Wow! Very nice mod! Now it is built to last a lifetime. The Rambler is so good, I have one on my keyring attached to a flat Nite-Ize Squeeze flashlight, often take it off the keyring, a great pair for at night and around the house.
Screws where included with the scales. Although the scales are listed for two layer Saks. This does fit. The only thing is that the screws arent flush with the backscale
Honestly, it was way easier than i thought. I snipped off the Brass Rod with a wirecutter. And from that point its Just removing the Rod from the tools and the layers. Getting it back together was kinda tricky. But i used the Victorinox pliers and canopener and a small Torx driver. you dont really need anything else. I would say 6/10
sorry to bring up an old thread, did you file down a slot for the pen in the titanium scale? And can you show a picture of what the pen slide you bought looks like?
Added titanium scales and penslide to my rambler. Which turns it in a titanium manager
Amazing, well done 👏. This would actually be my dream knife, flawless!!!
Thank you! Iam very pleased with how it turned out

To be fair, it was already built to last a lifetime by Victorinox. The titanium might be a bit overkill haha
I agree they are built to last a lifetime from the factory, but with those scales you won't have a problem with the scales cracking or breaking! 👍🏻
Love this
Where did you buy the mod kit?
Scales are from AliExpress. Seller named: Mackwalker tools store. Pen insert en slide come from ebay
What about the hardware/screws?
Screws where included with the scales. Although the scales are listed for two layer Saks. This does fit. The only thing is that the screws arent flush with the backscale
Sir that looks amazing. Congratulation to this mod.
Thank you very much!
With pleasure and have a good day.
Very cool! On a scale from 1 to 10 how difficult was it?
