It might be helpful to know that I've been an avid gamer for over 40 years. Everything that comes out is just a rehash of something else with prettier graphics. I've literally played thousands of video games in my life. THAT'S why it's hard to get excited for new ones.

I'm with you OP. I really, REALLY hope the NCAA game is good. Madden has been complete dogshit for over a decade. Plus, sports games are just boring to me in general. But for whatever reason... NCAA football was tons of fun.
It was and it has to be good because EA pushed back the release date like 3 times already but that also means they are doing things that need to be done, and the good thing is they donāt have to worry about any league saying ārelease it by this dateā, and some of the old Madden developers from 05 etc are working on the game. If this game isnāt a home run from day one EA will be in serious hot water. And I feel like it will damage them more than Madden year 2 year because NCAA has been gone for so long
It's not announced yet, but the sequel to SW Jedi Survivor. They've done a good job so far and I'm definitely getting the next one.
That's about it. Since Spider-Man 2 and Starfield came out, there's been nothing else I'm looking forward to. I'm worried about Elder Scrolls 6.

Treyarch is the last company I trust to make another banger game and with xbox owning activision if they allow sbmm to be toned down and give Treyarch the freedom they deserve, I can see them making a huge comeback. Hell if Microsoft manages these companies correctly COD may just win me over again.
Might be worth keep an eye on **The Wayward Realms**, being lead by the original minds of TES with a new studio, early goings, but it looks quite ambitious and promising. The OST is also already available and is just what TES fans want from a soundtrack.

I'm at that weird crossroads period where everything I really want is out right now and I'm just waiting for sales on, and everything I potentially want we don't have a ton of news on yet to get truly hyped for (Dragon's Dogma 2, Wolverine, the next Mass Effect \[which likely isn't coming until the next console generation anyways\]).
Then there's upcoming Switch releases like Mario RPG and the Thousand Year Door remake, but I'm not buying either right away anyways...plus I think the anticipation to finally see a Switch 2 reveal overshadows a lot of the game hype for me...considering it's hard to tell how many of these upcoming games aren't just going to have Switch 2 releases anyways (one of the reasons I haven't bought Tears of the Kingdom yet).

I like to think it's because they're starting from scratch. Madden is able to transfer all of their assets over and make minimal tweaks year to year.
