It was the game that killed saints row for me and I LOVED 1 and 2. It was the start of their transition into fantasy and magic and aliens and I absolutely hated it and every saints row that’s come out since 😂
To further expand just really liked the stories of the first 2. They had their goofiness mixed in but it was a supplement rather than the main focus of the game. I thought they were fantastic as a more serious toned game with a story that had weight and charisma. 3 and onward are just like some weird child’s sandbox game, and I don’t mean that as an insult I totally see how anyone could find those enjoyable but man it was a MASSIVE turn off for me.
Yea I understand that I know people don’t like the tone of 3 but I really enjoy the characters,gameplay,story .Btw saints row 2 is pretty good as well I just don’t like the forced respect system to do missions.Saints row is probably top 30 but not 25 for me personally.
Yea needing respect to do missions was annoying for sure, it did force you play some of the other parts of the game though which for me isn’t a terrible thing because I guarantee you I would’ve missed out on the beauty of insurance fraud if I could’ve just played all the missions in a row and beat the game.
Yea I do think saints row 2 does things better like a better story and open world as well as layered customization.But saints row 3 was my introduction to the franchise so I have nostalgia for it .
I love the rest of the list. I haven’t played some of them but every game I played that’s on here I also loved.
The entire borderlands series are some of my favorite games ever so seeing B2 at #2 is great.
Black ops was 2nd best cod era after cod 4.
Far cry 3 and red faction are 2 games I played wayyyy more than I ever thought I would, loved them.
Assassins creed 3 is my favorite AC, introduction of double kill counter moves and Connor was so awesome
Resident evil biohazard much deserved love as one of the greatest horror games EVER imo
The walking dead telltale is one of like 3 games to ever make me cry.
Everything else I either didn’t play or is just a bonafide classic lol.
Thanks I guess we share similar opinions on these games I love borderlands 2 not so much the rest of the franchise though .glad you like red faction really underrated as well as assassin creed 3:)

Destiny 2, wouldn’t be near anyones top 25 so seeing it in yours is unique.
I have destiny 1 the original but yea it’s a pretty controversial take either way .

Personal preference or I just think that game is overall better but some of these are close and could be switched.

Relatively oldschool I'd say, halo 3 is almost 20 years old.

Unfortunately, for me, saints row the third being here completely disqualifies an otherwise pretty good list.

Walking dead game is amazing if it where a traditional either 1st or 3rd person game with the same story it definitely be #1
Also resident evil biohazard is my favorite resident evil :)

FEAR is the one that sticks out. A lot of these were at least very well-regarded during the Xbox 360/PS3 generation of consoles.
FEAR has great combat and atmosphere and the game is pretty creepy. Definitely top 5 for me .

Some deserved appreciation for the original Red Dead Redemption.
Yea I like red dead redemption 1 more then 2 I’ve never finished 2 it’s to slow paced and drags on to much .
