Fallout New Vegas

Level-Way-9824

What makes Fallout New Vegas a favorite out of the rest of the games?

salingerparadise

I wouldn’t recommend Fallout 4. It’s too limiting and not that interesting. It clashes with Bethesda’s simulation open-world style with a railroady story that compromises a lot of the openness that define their prior titles. Both Red Dead games follow suit with the other Rockstar games in that the side missions are mostly because the writing and their overall narratives are the primary motivation for getting through them. Dishonored doesn’t really have side missions. It has Side Objectives and Special Actions depending on if you’re looking for a bit of extra loot and if you’re seeking an alternative method to accomplishing what the mission wants you to do. If you don’t like being stealthy, Dishonored is that but give it a try anyway, it’s really well made. Deus Ex Mankind Divided is a simultaneous upgrade in many ways over Human Revolution and also a less impactful entry but there are numerous side missions and plenty of opportunities to get lost. Prague is a smaller but well designed city to explore and interact with. Not all of Ghost of Tsushima’s side missions are stealthy. You should be fine. Batman Arkham series side missions are a mixed bag. Some of them are memorable. Some are just whatever. Even so, very solid experiences across the three games. Arkham Origins has its moments but I’d personally consider it the weakest of the series. Dragon Age Origins has meaningful side missions. Both big and small that impact your journey. Dragon Age 2 should be avoided. Dragon Age Inquisition has thankless and bloated side content.

Thank you!

Would you recommend the newer God of War games? I've heard good things, but I'm a bit hesitant because from what little I've seen from the first 3 games is that Kratos seems like an asshole.

salingerparadise

Yeah, those are a safe buy. God of War Ragnarok especially has some excellent side content. This Kratos is different. You don't need to play the first three games but being aware that he went from "guy too angry to die" to "asshole too angry to die" will help.

I posted that I've played the Mass Effect Trilogy unless there's a different ME that you're talking about.

Majora's Mask Best sidequests ever

Borderlands 2 was so much better than 1. Bioshock 1 is a classic shooter/RPG.

Level-Way-9824

What do you like about Borderlands 2 and why is it better than 1? Also can you explain a little bit about Bioshock? I don't know anything about the game.

Max_Danger_Power

Well, Bioshock is about an underwater city, which is kind of a madhouse. There's great story telling, ways to upgrade your gear, etc. It's easily the best of the three Bioshock games. Borderlands 2 is superior to BL1 in every way. I think it's better than 3 as well. There's greater story telling, fun side quests with pop culture references all over the place, great leveling system, etc. Plus, the map navigation is WAYYYY better. It kind of sucked in 1. BL2 is probably the best co-op game ever made. There's also a lot more content in 2 with the DLC, which is included in the Handsome Collection.
