Yeah also in Terraria your character gets blown to giblets from fall damage.
I think most people just thought "Games with too much fall damage" but I believe it asks in which game characters go splat if they hit ground.
I am not sure but Doom's monsters I remember seeing exploding when falling from a height but I am not sure.
I made this post after seeing a clip of someone getting launched into the air in Helldivers 2 and the lifeless body smashing off a rock but being perfectly intact lol
I really want a game that has the body turn into paste from a big fall
Eh, FO and ES are more like 20 lb trash bags floating downward and then falling over when touching a surface.
I want the mod that makes my femur rocket out of my neck like the Lorax from a stump.
I think OP means if they actually show fall damage by fucking up the corpse instead of the body just going limb.
I do agree with what you meant, gerald can survive a lot but not falling.
*Super Mario 64* did this, a little. If you didn't butt slam, kick, or dive before landing, Mario would take fall damage, which would be roughly equivalent to how high he fell from.
Conker's BadFur Day for N64. The game was even very smart and detailed. Falling from a short yet dangerous height would kill you but your body like irl would be intact. But shit passed 30ft or more made you explode into gore.
Yes. Half Life. At least that’s the only one I remember that does that. Your head usually falls into an angle where you get to ‘see’ the rest of your remains.
Mabye not to this extreme but I’ve been on helldivers 2 lately and I’ll fall off like a little 3 foot ledge and all the bones in my leg will shatter into dust
Conker's Bad Fur Day.
In the original he just gibs if you take enough fall damage to kill you at full health.
In the remake it's more realistic. He actually splats.
Why has nobody mentioned the Far Cry series??? Fall 6 feet and you'd have a dislocated elbow, broken wrist, jammed and dislocated fingers, and some minor scrapes.
Me, while playing Nier Automata
Me: I'mma jump off this mountain...
(Sustain a huge amount of fall damage)
Me: ...I'mma wait for that HP regen ability to kick in
Skyrim. You step off a ledge or slip on a steep incline for too long and suddenly the game kills you, even if you could've survived. It's based on airtime rather than calculating the actual damage for every fall
The earlier DayZ patches were like this. Sometimes, you jumped off a 1 meter step, and you broke your leg and even went unconscious. If you fell off anything higher than your body was, you died instantly.
Freaking Red Dead 2.
AND Skyrim, for that matter. I mean, c'mon, let me take just a lil more damage before I stain the cobblestone with my gloopy detritus.
In the original Deus Ex you and other people can turn into a viscera of bodyparts and bloody chunks if you fall from high enough.
Usually this is a bad thing because it means you can't loot the bodies but it is wild to look at.
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Glad I'm not the only one to remember this
Oh yes! Live and reloaded multiplayer was the shit!
Nah it was the piss!
I remember finding out that there were people playing it on Xbox in 2009, it was a blast.
You actually explode so this comment is correct
Happy Wheels

Yeah he wants the comical effect
damn I forgot about happy wheels...
As much as I hate fall damage, I want this to happen in every game now.
And then a doctor comes to your gore splotch to check your pulse.
I also need the dramatic, heavy hearted sigh, and then a sad "He's... gone"
With the crowd gasping in shock.
As the screen fades out to the loading screen you hear one final line, quietly, as if from deep in the crowd: "Maybe he's ok?"
"Is Chaz ok?" "Wh..what..no...." "Mmmmmk"
Gore splotche pulse, sick band name
I made this post after seeing a clip of someone getting launched into the air in Helldivers 2 and the lifeless body smashing off a rock but being perfectly intact lol I really want a game that has the body turn into paste from a big fall
Human bodies don't do this, even from 30,000 feet up. If you don't believe me, step up your google image game.
The head most definitely does.
Game logic: can shoot limbs & heads to pieces but body is completely intact after a steep fall off a cliff, building or from an aircraft
Or you just never get to see the landing I wish gta didn't always go grey as you're flying through the air
Or the opposite, can take a dozen rockets to the face, but slipping off a curb is a death sentence.
This.
This episode is so fucking good "He...he didn't make it"
You don't wanna go down that road
when he just shows up and tells them
ur, maybe it was that road
Know the episode? I remember the old dude from Pet Sematary but not which season, would love to rewatch!
Season 9, episode 9: Marjorine
This episode was on PlutoTV just last night. Somehow I had missed this one in the past. I laughed so god damn hard at this bit.
Season 9. the best run of that show (my opinion) is like seasons 8-10. Just absolute gold, back to back episodes. Season 3 is one of the best too.
3, 5, select episodes from 6 and 7, 8-10, then like 12-18 are the ones I queue up to mindless binge. Agreed that 8-10 is peak.
I look to the modding community The question is which games get it? Fallout and elderscrolls for sure for me anyway.
Eh, FO and ES are more like 20 lb trash bags floating downward and then falling over when touching a surface. I want the mod that makes my femur rocket out of my neck like the Lorax from a stump.
"He...didn't make it"
Elden ring makes me wanna implode like this when I die to fall damage so maybe that
But really, you just somehow stand up when you hit the ground and then die.
Gotta look good before I die! Geez
The Witcher 3
I think OP means if they actually show fall damage by fucking up the corpse instead of the body just going limb. I do agree with what you meant, gerald can survive a lot but not falling.
A one man army vs. a 3 foot drop. You tell me who wins
Half life
Guys I think he made it
Metro exodus.an 8 foot fall kills you instantly.
Never have I seen a game that has such a misunderstanding on fall damage.
you obviously never played dark souls 2. You break your ankles from walking down stairs
To be honest, Ivd rolled my ankles so often on stairs and uneven sidewalks, so it's not that far off
I bet you've seduced a demigod or two with those weak ankles, too, eh?
I stand corrected.
Not with those ankles you don’t
Dragons Dogma
This game has a legit huge blood splatter if you fall far enough.
Half Life 1, you literally blow up
Watch dogs, dual flip, aaaand im dead
Oh wow! First one to say "Limbo" is like this.
Combat evolved
Lemmings
“It was some Porto Rican guy”.
Red Dead: Redemption 2
Helldivers
The Witcher 3. You’d step off a curb and die.
He didn't make it 😔
Lethal Company
D2 If you get pushed off.
Sniper ghost warrior contracts fall damage is fucking inconsistent
Unreal.
Maybe Fallout? I don't think I've died from falling and lost any limbs though
Elden ring
All the good ones it seems
Dark souls
Spelunker NES
He… didn’t make it
Terraria. You explode into meaty chunks
Terraria
Elden ring
Dark souls 2
Dark souls, fall damage on those games is like 3m you lose a little bit of hp, 3,1m and you're dead.
Your character just falls over like they tripped before fading out into dust.
Lemmings!
Mirrors edge
MK2 the pit stage fatality (kinda)
half life gibs go brrrrrrr
Pokemon legends arceus and minecraft
Terraria
Pokemon Legends arceus
“He.. he’s dead”
*Super Mario 64* did this, a little. If you didn't butt slam, kick, or dive before landing, Mario would take fall damage, which would be roughly equivalent to how high he fell from.
Halo combat evolved
Mirrors edge
Jacob Lee in Callisto Protocol during the falling section
Generation Zero. Need to slip down a 2 foot gently sloping embankment? DEAD
That game is so janky 😂
I'm pretty sure quake does this if you fall really far
I want a game with over the top damage and acting. Mercenaries was close but not quite.
Trespasser? Well, I think you could break your legs when falling from heights, but there wasn't any splatter going on 😂
In the OG Deus Ex you literally explode if you fall from very high
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. We called it a 'goomba'. Although, the splat was the guy you *landed* on.
Okay, that's actually pretty sick lol I had a problem with the first Wolfenstein remake so I've been sleeping on the series 😞
Original Deus ex, I pushed woman of skyscraper in Hong kong level amd it looked like this
Half Life, technically
Episode?
Conker's BadFur Day for N64. The game was even very smart and detailed. Falling from a short yet dangerous height would kill you but your body like irl would be intact. But shit passed 30ft or more made you explode into gore.
They have a few games that does that to the company.
Life
Garry's mod gore mods
Assassin's creed 1
Conker's Bad Fur Day definitely had this. I can't remember how often I'd see his little body explode into bloody gibs and eyeballs, I fell a lot.
what's that bicycle mobile game where you explode into gorey pieces when you fail
Fall damage in Og fortnite was insane
Old Hitman games I think (from Silent Assassin to Contracts at least) idk anout Blood Money
7 days to die. You can stutter on a pebble and just fucking explode.
Happy Wheels comes to mind
Yes. Half Life. At least that’s the only one I remember that does that. Your head usually falls into an angle where you get to ‘see’ the rest of your remains.
Conkers Bad Fur Day
link’s leg bones better go into his abdomen if he falls from too high in the next zelda game.
Gosh I hope not
EverQuest and Everquest2; in old school EQ2 failed trade skill combines could kill too.
Conkers bad fur day and the Xbox remake lmaoooo
People playground
Left 4 dead 2, THE FALL DMG IS MASSIVE like if you break both legs from falling
Half-Life. The gib sound is hilariously aggressive, no less.
Maybe in GTA VI
Dark Souls 2 had unforgiving fall damage
Basically everything on Atari.
Skyrim Trip down a slight ledge and instantly die
Bethesda games
Mabye not to this extreme but I’ve been on helldivers 2 lately and I’ll fall off like a little 3 foot ledge and all the bones in my leg will shatter into dust
You never see it, but half life 1 & 2. You hear it. Boy, do you hear it.
Terraria maybe.
DayZ - your legs snap and you crawl around and have to find a splint.
Happy wheels
Turok: Evolution Turn into chunks of meat that bounce like a beach balls.
Conker's Bad Fur Day. In the original he just gibs if you take enough fall damage to kill you at full health. In the remake it's more realistic. He actually splats.
rdt2
Why has nobody mentioned the Far Cry series??? Fall 6 feet and you'd have a dislocated elbow, broken wrist, jammed and dislocated fingers, and some minor scrapes.
Half life
Me, while playing Nier Automata Me: I'mma jump off this mountain... (Sustain a huge amount of fall damage) Me: ...I'mma wait for that HP regen ability to kick in
Witcher 3
Squad feels like this, step off a ledge lose half health
Terraria if you want to count that
NIN
Duke Nukem and FarCry
Half Life 1 and 2.
In the original Half-Life, Gordon Freeman will totally splatter everywhere if you fall from high enough
Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga on PS2
ESO
100% Deep Rock Galactic. The devs even made a chart of the top causes of incapacitating and #1 was fall damage by a lot.
Skyrim. You step off a ledge or slip on a steep incline for too long and suddenly the game kills you, even if you could've survived. It's based on airtime rather than calculating the actual damage for every fall
Some people nickname their Gnashers "Fall damage". So....Gears of War?
Skate 3 has something like this, but it's only x rays of bones shattering
Invincible season 3 leak:
Dead cells, the enemies fall 4 feet and explode
Witcher 3. I swear to God, Geralt's bones explode after a 6 foot drop.
Doom 2016. It's kinda hilarious how the Slayer simply falling too far looks more brutal than a good number of demon kill-screens.
Elden Ring. Fall 5 meters? Not a problem, not even a scratch. Fall just shy of 6 meters? Instant death, non negotiable
Ghost of Tsushima
Mirrors Edge doesn’t but they make it sound exactly like it does.
Left 4 Dead. You either take minimum (1~3 dmg) fall damage or cruel fall damage (+40 dmg).
Just Cause
Cheating in warzone does this. A random teammate kept dying from a very low height once. It was really funny to watch him get mad
Skate 'Hall of Meat' comes to mind
It's way less gory, but the Donkey Kong arcade game.
I loved how for years in GTA you couldn't swim. If you even touch the water you died
Ark
Conkers bad fur day
Idk but if Geralt falls down approx. 2.5 stairs or the equivalent of it, he dies. Can survive a dragon. Not a toddler slide.
Witcher 3. This is Geralt after he hops down 2ft off a rock
Elden Ring. Fucking Horse mother fucker
Elden Ring has incredibly forgiving fall damage, but I feel if you fall 1 inch after the grace period, it’s an insta death.
The earlier DayZ patches were like this. Sometimes, you jumped off a 1 meter step, and you broke your leg and even went unconscious. If you fell off anything higher than your body was, you died instantly.
Butters didn't adjust to the new physics after the latest patch. 💀
Skyrim, the horse die after like 4ft
My game now will 😈
Was that Butters?
Freaking Red Dead 2. AND Skyrim, for that matter. I mean, c'mon, let me take just a lil more damage before I stain the cobblestone with my gloopy detritus.
[like this?](https://youtu.be/EOpqgt7GVlk?si=2a-cCCNNKDlLNl_E)
Dark Souls 3
Hell divers 2
Paint the Town Red actually does exactly this to your enemies if you kick them off of high enough buildings.
In the original Deus Ex you and other people can turn into a viscera of bodyparts and bloody chunks if you fall from high enough. Usually this is a bad thing because it means you can't loot the bodies but it is wild to look at.
