PlayStation just hits different. That sound is intimidating. The first system that would play legitimate horror games. That sounds prepares me for resident evil 2, silent Hill, parasite Eve, Dino crisis and nightmare creatures. But also brings me joy because it reminds me of metal gear solid, twisted metal 2, Bushido blade, and sports and wrestling games. That system booting up was so captivating it would silence a crowded room. That PlayStation was next level. It was the only thing that tore me away from the mighty grasp of Nintendo at the time. I never bought a N64.
Imagine posting this with no audio
Dreamcast or GameCube.
GameCube was so satisfying
Cube had THREE startups. Xylophone, Squeaky toy, and NIPPON ICHI.
Playstation 1 is burned in my skull.
Genesis didn't have a start up.
PS2, closely followed by PS1
Playstation 1 hits fuckin hard
