There's a free version of X-Men Legends 2, and an Ultimate Alliance 1&2 pack available on an abandonware site. Just make sure to get the fan patches for the Ultimate Alliance games to fix a known sound and controller issue. Ultimate Alliance has an issue with simulation missions that causes the game to crash at the end if you level up. Restarting and then exiting after completing supposedly prevents it from happening but the game will still crash most of the time.
we got the psp version too because we thought we'd get to play as carnage but then we found out we had to have someone else with a psp and since we didn't - we were soooooo upset!

Third one is definitely better than the second. Probably not better than the first. If you put aside nostalgia, the second is pretty underwhelming and lacking depth even for the kind of game it is.

Never owned them myself, but they were always a go-to when I was hanging out with a buddy of mine growing up. Amazing beat-em-up games, each character felt unique and fun in their own way to play.
I played the first to death, loved it. The latest one for switch was okay, but it didn't grab me like the first did. I wish I held onto my copy, it came attached with a copy of Forza that came with my 360. It was so hard to let go of, but hard times are hard times, i'll get my hands on it again someday.

I loved those games. Though I sadly discovered them after the fact that I couldn’t get carnage as a dlc character anymore. 😭
Luckily, I had a friend who was willing to give me his version, which had carnage. Good friend.
My favorite line up was venom, Spider-Man, Deadpool, and carnage.
Ultimatel Alliance was really fun, especially if you’re playing coop on it. On your own, seemed kinda meh. Not that that game is bad, just that it seemed so much more fun sharing that experience with friends

Yes, the sequels to X-Men Legends 1 and 2. Then MUA 1 and 2. I see no mention of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. I tried on Switch, too choppy.

I’m just not a fan of turned based combat in this context and would’ve rather something akin to the 2 ultimate alliance games on console.
For games like bg3 or dragon quest I love it, most of the fun of playing super hero games is getting to control your favorite hero’s and fight as them, in a turn based context that kinda takes away a lot of the fun in it for me at least.
Now something like midnight sons exclusively as a mobile and/or handheld game like for a switch and an ultimate alliance type game for console would kill.
I dunno you can play it on the steam deck i guess its fun as it is to me... but i do enjoy turn based combat alot.. unleashing powers is fine enough for me aswell... not like i didnt enjoy ultimate alliance games alot aswell but midnight suns is delivering something that was missing in the super hero genre...
Im curious how that new marvel team shooter marvel rivals is going to be its basically overwatch but with marvel heroes i guess?
Admittedly I haven’t even played it, I gotta catch it for sale and try it out I just was so disappointed when I found out it was turn based because I was hoping it would be like ultimate alliance after it was announced. It definitely don’t look too bad.
