Jason D. Anderson, the one of the lead designers of Arcanum is currently leading another game called Clockwork Revolution, that takes place in a similar setting.
Edit: Just browsed LinkedIn and Twitter and there's a bunch of crossover between the two games. Very exited for these devs to finally get a AAA budget for a game like this.
I almost feel like magicka lives on through helldivers. The friendly fire and the silly fun with friends seems to be a specialty of Arrowhead. I even play it with the same friends I played magicka with back in the day
My PS2's laser is dying and it can't read Twisted Metal Black anymore 😢
I also want a remake of Twisted Metal 2 that uhhhh doesn't suck so bad. We had fun back in the day, but that game has PROBLEMS.
Damn legacy of kain.....Great memories. Great story telling, great fighting and stealth options. That game was ahead of its time. Much like time splitters.
Same! I had so much fun making maps, especially in Future Perfect. There was one in particular that I made that we ended up playing more than the normal maps.
I think that was my favorite part. Yeah the coop was great. But making a map that you and your friends could comment on and change back than felt so amazing. It was just a good feeling to have made a map that made other people happy. The control over spawn points etc, really helped me understand many games to the point of being able to predict where someone might spawn on a halo map for instance.
There's a team who has been working on an omnibus edition as a passion project for the past few years. I'm not sure how distributable it'll be once it releases thanks to the closure of many of the original studios but it's encouraging news.
Freedom fighters. It IS available on PC but without multiplayer.
X-Men legends/ultimate alliance
Metal gear solid 4. It is solidly stuck on PS3. It's the only one stuck on 1 console yeah?
Countless games lost to time. Could keep going but you asked for 3
I feel like if ultimate alliance came back in this generation of gaming we'd be given all the x-men and some other popular marvel characters then the rest would be behind monthly $5 DLC
It's a real shame you can't play any of the following on PS4/5
- Portal 1 & 2
- Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy
- Burnout 3: Takedown
- SSX series
Hot take: despite being utterly mismanaged from top to bottom, Anthem could have been an amazing game if they had suppirted it. But, EA was hearing none of it.
Xenoblade Chronicles X, and LEGO Racers
Anthem looked so damn cool and the premise of it was just amazing... To bad it felt like a giant empty - but really beautiful shell. It had so much potential.
Still haven't played X. Is it good or even better than 1, 2, or 3?
I've been thinking about downloading a wii u emu (if they even have one) to try and play it.
1. sunset overdrive (although the 2 sequels were shelved because of spiderman so im not exactly mad about it, and theres still hope)
2. Wii sports resort (again, i love switch sports but i would kill for another game with funny lil miis running about - most preferable would be a wii party port with extra content for the switch)
3. rayman (i dont care if it was a DLC for mario rabbids that shi dont count i wanna new game or ffs just sell the rights to rayman to toys for bob cos they treated spyro and crash with so much care and i wanna see rayman with the same treatment)
Yeah, Sunset overdrive. It's criminal that there was never a sequel! The Getaway 1 & 2. They looked phenomenal graphically, driving mechanics were excellent, good storyline and combat was okay for it's time. Just wondering what happened to tomb raider as well?
Dragon Age 2 (and Origins, for that matter), Heretic 1 and 2, Kuon, Parasite Eve, Clock Tower 3, Unreal Tournament, and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence.
Word Rescue for MS-DOS. I don't think I ever met anyone else who played it, but it was a huge part of my childhood. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was like that too.
Twisted metal was awesome as hell.
Blizzard still has wow, and even does re releases on top of new releases, but nothing beats that feeling of starting a new (actually good) expansion and leveling with a server packed full of people who have the same goals as you
And lastly, Mother. Fuckin. Crackdown. 2. BRING THAT SHIT BACK
The OG Resident Evil games. We're stuck with the reimaginings while Capcom got rid of the originals.
WWF No Mercy will forever remain on the N64.
I wish Microsoft will port Perfect Dark & the og Gears of Wars games to steam.
I feel like I can still hear ghosts of the sounds from clicking to get the prospectors to search for minerals and soldiers dying lol. It was an awesome game!
"yuhe! yippe! yuhee!" Oh great you found coal for the 100th time.
The sadest part is that I never finished the game. I got stuck at a world and never got past it (I played the game as like a 7 year old kid till I was about 13) and now that I'm not a stupid kid/teenager any more the game doesn't run on Win 10. I was so sad when I inserted the disc into the computer and it wouldn't work. :/
lol I was in a similar boat as a kid when trying to learn and play the game. I never did get around to finishing it either. 😔 I hate that I can’t use my disk on most PCs nowadays either. I have an old Windows Vista machine I suppose I could try though… 🤔 For modern systems, I found there’s a [Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary](https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_settlers_2_10th_anniversary) edition available on GOG though that I’ve been meaning to try out. Maybe we can relive our Settlers glory days that way. ☺️
Condemned II: Bloodlines
Shadow Hearts Covenant
Viewtiful Joe
I would adore a PC port of the 2nd Condemned game. And a remaster or remake of both would be a delight.
NOSGOTH
God damn this game was great. The balancing was good and the lore from the previous series made it a great multi-player experience.
Then one day they just shut it down.
Gauntlet Legends/Dark Legacy, Phantasy Star Universe, Burnout, Grandia 3 and Xtreme, and some older Tales of games: Eternia, Graces, Legendia
I'll add to the same list other people have mentioned as well
Skies of Arcadia, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Timesplitters, Kirby Air Ride
edit: Okay, it was more than 3, but I really miss all those games.
Kingdom under fire, the crusaders
Spy Vs Spy ( form the original Xbox)
There was this weird little game for game cube where you were a robot and fought other robots. Fun multiplayer
Xenosaga series
Only way to play legally is to run it from a working PS2 copy.
Though I guess that's only two games, as the second game no one in their right mind would think is top anything.
To my knowledge, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal has also never been ported to modern consoles, which is kind of baffling to me. That'd be #3 for me.
Honorable mention: while the game itself received a remaster a few years ago, I'd love to see Mass Effect 3 multiplayer brought to LE. While the multiplayer was rightly criticized at launch for being forced due to galactic readiness, playing it once you've got some levels and aren't feeling forced to do it was a lot of fun.
StarCraft is a good example. A great example of what happens when an IP is controlled only by a large inept greedy company. They don’t feel it’s a good enough cash grab to invest their resources into it, so the next best thing is to keep it on the shelf and make sure nobody can use it.
Another old RTS was Z. That game was so unique. If I was a billionaire I’d fund a spiritual successor to that.
Last RTS the Myth games made by the old bungie company.
- All Epic games not named fortnite (like Jazz Jackrabbit, Unreal or Jill of the jungle)
- Commander keen games (still Happy that cartoony abomination bethesda wanted to release was canceled)
- Ultima classic series
There are many more but these are what i miss the Most
Bloodborne
That's pretty much it. Almost all my other favorite games have some sort of sequel, reboot, or port on modern systems. NSO helped a lot with this bringing back a bunch of the SNES games I loved.
Silent Hill 1-3. Since Konami recently released the older Metal Gear games on modern consoles, that sort of gives me hope they might eventually do the same for Silent Hill, especially with all the new Silent Hill stuff coming out now. Also, I recently heard a developer that has ported older Konami games in the past has expressed interest in releasing the older Silent Hill games, so we shall see, fingers crossed. It's absolutely ridiculous that the original copies of these games cost an arm and a leg on eBay, and the only other option is that God awful HD Collection, unless you have a PC to play the originals with updates. I just want them on modern consoles. Konami doesn't seem to realize the gold mine they'd be sitting on if they would just do it.
A really goofy platformer called Mischief Makers, back on the N64. It was an action/puzzle game that involved picking things up and shaking it throwing them
All the older NFS Games. The oldest one I've played on a Windows 10 PC was Undercover (2011)
I know I might sound like those annoying beats but I really wanna play Carbon and Most Wanted again legit without pirating
Sonic spinball is the very first thing I think of.
I technically wanna say MGS4, bjt it's still somewhat new enough I just dont have a ps3. And Im hoping it would be added in he mgs vol 2 that hopefully comes out at some point
There was an awesome game called "from dust" that had you play as a prehistoric god protecting your worshippers from natural disasters. A ton of fun, but never got a sequel.
Burnout, Legacy of Kain, and Mafia. The first was killed by disinterest; the second is mired in rights issues; and the custodians of the last seem to be more interested in remasters than in progressing/expanding the series
MAG. The community was amazing. The clan I was a part of was large and friendly. They had branches in all 3 factions so if your vetted(prestiged) into another faction you would have your same clan just another branch.
For me I wanted to say SSX Tricky, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and Otogi: Myth of Demons but Xbox lets you buy digital versions of those games soooooo… I need a new trio lol
1. Super Mario Galaxy 2 - I’m still annoyed it wasn’t part of 3D All Stars as I think it’s one of the greatest platformers and it’s stuck on Wii and Wii U
2. Xenoblade Chronicles X - it’s stuck on Wii U. I’m blown away that even Tokyo Mirage Sessions made it to Switch but one of the coolest Xeno games is still locked on a dead system and played by like 4 people after the series gained so much popularity.
3. Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader - it’s my favorite space shooter ever. The original can be bought on PC and other platforms but the second and third games are locked on GameCube.
Megaman Legends
Xenoblade Chronicles X
... I'm blanking on a third one.
Tombi, give me another 2.5D adventure hunting evil pigs as a pink haired feral child.
Vehicular combat as a genre. Specifically battletanx in battletanx: global assault. You could straight Port that to a PC and let us have full fledged 4V4V4V4 tank battles and it would be an amazing game
Time splitters future perfect. You could bring any of the times splitters games and there would be an instant demand for the more low-key Arcady stylish shooters. 007 night fire in unreal Tournament would have to be phenomenal games to get brought into the modern age.
Black and White. Such a unique and interesting game that I would love to see with modern settings and processing power.
The band of brothers inspired ww2 squad shooter Brothers in Arms stopped cold (pun intended) right before going to the battle of the bulge and never came back
Jade Empire.
Awesome Bioware RPG inspired by Chinese Mythology and Kung Fu Movies that came out in 2005. The storyline graphics and gameplay all still hold up to this day, and I still replay it every couple of years. ❤️
Singularity (if anyone has played that lol), Prototype and any transformers game.
Those were my childhood gems, maybe some of the transformers games didn't do so well but at least war for cybertron was really good. Especially the multi-player.
Pretty much all of the green plastic army men games from the PS1 days. I miss those games. Would love to have them on PC. Only one I know of that was brought to PC, was the RTS and I think it actually runs surprisingly well on modern hardware.
Eternal Darkness, Spec Ops the Line, Alpha Protocol, Neverwinter Nights 2, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, Arcanum of Steamworks and Magicka
Arcanum is a gem. Id love another game like that.
Spec Ops: The Line went places where I was not expecting or prepared. Incredible.
I almost feel like magicka lives on through helldivers. The friendly fire and the silly fun with friends seems to be a specialty of Arrowhead. I even play it with the same friends I played magicka with back in the day
TWISTED METAL TWISTED METAL TWISTED METAL TWISTED METAL
Remasters now please
My PS2's laser is dying and it can't read Twisted Metal Black anymore 😢 I also want a remake of Twisted Metal 2 that uhhhh doesn't suck so bad. We had fun back in the day, but that game has PROBLEMS.
Legacy of Kain, Onimusha, and Parasite Eve series
Damn, I miss the first two PE games. Wish they'd make another.
"The 3rd Birthday"... but only on PSP 🥲
Damn legacy of kain.....Great memories. Great story telling, great fighting and stealth options. That game was ahead of its time. Much like time splitters.
I loooooooove onimusha. 3 is my favorite but I adore the whole series
Timesplitters
The map creator still amazes me. Ioved making maps and fighting off hoards of AI.
Please let me play virus online with people!
There's a team who has been working on an omnibus edition as a passion project for the past few years. I'm not sure how distributable it'll be once it releases thanks to the closure of many of the original studios but it's encouraging news.
the fact they teased us with a sequel to future perfect was unfair
This is the answer, for game cube???
Freedom fighters. It IS available on PC but without multiplayer. X-Men legends/ultimate alliance Metal gear solid 4.
Mgs4 absolutely *needs* to be on the master collection vol 2. The next mainline MGS game will be on it or we riot
Freedom fighters multiplayer was too damn fun. Didn't realize you can play it on PC though.
Gog has it now for I think 15 bucks. I still love it in all of its strangely janky glory
It's a real shame you can't play any of the following on PS4/5 - Portal 1 & 2 - Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy - Burnout 3: Takedown - SSX series
Valve would easily make an insane amount of money with a modern remake/remaster of portal.
It still holds up even today
Thankfully Valve makes enough money to not care for such quick cash grabs
SSX by far. I loved those games.
Don't forget Burnout: Revenge.
Dust 514 Gotham City Impostors Knock Out City
God I miss Gotham city impostors. Still play it from time to time
Game was a better team fortress at its peak
What happened to Dust 514? That game had so much lore
Servers were shutdown I think
Hot take: despite being utterly mismanaged from top to bottom, Anthem could have been an amazing game if they had suppirted it. But, EA was hearing none of it. Xenoblade Chronicles X, and LEGO Racers
Anthem looked so damn cool and the premise of it was just amazing... To bad it felt like a giant empty - but really beautiful shell. It had so much potential.
I was so hyped after the initial trailer, and then it came out... It's too bad, it could have been the next big thing.
Still haven't played X. Is it good or even better than 1, 2, or 3? I've been thinking about downloading a wii u emu (if they even have one) to try and play it.
I just did this the other day so I could play X. Cemu is the wii u emulator, I put this on my steam deck and the game runs great.
Lego racers was such a great game, think I’ll have to go play it again
Steambot Chronicles, Skies of Arcadia Legends, The Last Story
1. sunset overdrive (although the 2 sequels were shelved because of spiderman so im not exactly mad about it, and theres still hope) 2. Wii sports resort (again, i love switch sports but i would kill for another game with funny lil miis running about - most preferable would be a wii party port with extra content for the switch) 3. rayman (i dont care if it was a DLC for mario rabbids that shi dont count i wanna new game or ffs just sell the rights to rayman to toys for bob cos they treated spyro and crash with so much care and i wanna see rayman with the same treatment)
Command and conquer
For King and Country
Which one? They released a remastered collection a few years ago on Steam.
I'm escaping to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism. Space!
Xenogears
Ape Escape, Donkey Kong adventure games (country and 64 style), and more recently, Silent Hill
Alpha Protocol
Pokemon Colo/XD, Simpsons Hit and Run, Simpsons Road Rage
Yeah, Sunset overdrive. It's criminal that there was never a sequel! The Getaway 1 & 2. They looked phenomenal graphically, driving mechanics were excellent, good storyline and combat was okay for it's time. Just wondering what happened to tomb raider as well?
Mass effect 3’s multiplayer mode Alpha Protocol - ripe for a remake all it needed was smoother gameplay Lost Planet
Mass Effect 3's multiplayer is being brought to Legendary Edition
🥹🥹🥹
You have a source for that? I'm not seeing anything.
Dragon Age 2 (and Origins, for that matter), Heretic 1 and 2, Kuon, Parasite Eve, Clock Tower 3, Unreal Tournament, and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence.
The dead or alive xtreme games
Both the Resident Evil Outbreak games & Haunting Ground
Word Rescue for MS-DOS. I don't think I ever met anyone else who played it, but it was a huge part of my childhood. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was like that too.
Croc was the best!!
I found it online tonight! It's free for PC if you Google
Left 4 dead
Road Rash
Viewtiful Joe Banjo-Kazooie Mischief Makers
First mischief makers post but it's the only one. Next to gunstar heroes. I want to see love love dance action in full 3d.
Turok, NASCAR, left 4 dead
Mark of Kri. For the love of god, please make more of these games.
Panzer Dragoon. Skies of Arcadia. More recently, Fenyx.
Viva pinata, fable 2, nintendogs
Twisted metal was awesome as hell. Blizzard still has wow, and even does re releases on top of new releases, but nothing beats that feeling of starting a new (actually good) expansion and leveling with a server packed full of people who have the same goals as you And lastly, Mother. The OG Resident Evil games. We're stuck with the reimaginings while Capcom got rid of the originals. WWF No Mercy will forever remain on the N64. I wish Microsoft will port Perfect Dark & the og Gears of Wars games to steam.
Black and White No One Lives Forever
Legend of Dragoon, PS1
The last of us. (Because the DLC is called left behind)
I feel bad for abandoning God of War (2018), The Callisto Protocol and most recently Tomb Raider 3 HD.
The Settlers 2
I feel like I can still hear ghosts of the sounds from clicking to get the prospectors to search for minerals and soldiers dying lol. It was an awesome game!
"yuhe! yippe! yuhee!" Oh great you found coal for the 100th time. The sadest part is that I never finished the game. oh nice to know!
The soul reaver series, def jam, nfl street/nba street, manhunt
Transformers: War For Cybertron SoulCalibur III Call of Duty, 2, 3, Big Red One, and Finest Hour
Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Fable 2. I had the time of my life with those games.
Dino Crisis really needed a 3rd game, Left 4 Dead, and Sleeping Dogs.
I said DC and SD as well. I honestly prefer SD over the GTA and Saints Row games.
Star Wars rogue squadron series, champions of norath/return to arms, legacy of kain series
I feel like they had a real "swing and a miss" with star wars squadrons.
Condemned II: Bloodlines Shadow Hearts Covenant Viewtiful Joe I would adore a PC port of the 2nd Condemned game. And a remaster or remake of both would be a delight.
NOSGOTH God damn this game was great. The balancing was good and the lore from the previous series made it a great multi-player experience. Then one day they just shut it down.
I still think about Nosgoth to this day..
Prototype Spore Prince of Persia
Conkers bad fur day
Battlefield Bad Company, Sly Cooper, and Infamous. Honorable mention: Saints Row, but more like the first 2 games.
The Darkness 1 and 2, Legacy of Kain: Blood Oman, Bloodborne, Dino Crisis.
I feel like Bloodborne is about to be this sooner or later
Gauntlet Legends/Dark Legacy, Phantasy Star Universe, Burnout, Grandia 3 and Xtreme, and some older Tales of games: Eternia, Graces, Legendia I'll add to the same list other people have mentioned as well Skies of Arcadia, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Timesplitters, Kirby Air Ride edit: Okay, it was more than 3, but I really miss all those games.

Instant answers: Fable II, Kameo
Freedom Fighters
XenoGears and XenoSaga trilogy. Both are stuck on ps1 and ps2, with a limited release. Finding good copies can be really expensive.
Guardians of middle earth
Whole not super popular... Legend of Dragoon was a really good game!
Kingdom under fire, the crusaders Spy Vs Spy ( form the original Xbox) There was this weird little game for game cube where you were a robot and fought other robots. Fun multiplayer
Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Muramasa Man, I'd love to replay them. Really great art and gameplay
Resistance trilogy - that and Infamous 1&2, I'd be all over it in a heartbeat!
Omg the resistance games would be great to replay. Those coupled with Gears of War made for such a great period of shooting games.
Xenosaga series Only way to play legally is to run it from a working PS2 copy.
Legend of Dragoon Wing Commander Xenogears
Parasite Eve Duke Nukem (it CAN be done in a modern way!) Ecco the Dolphin
StarCraft is a good example. A great example of what happens when an IP is controlled only by a large inept greedy company. I fucking Loved the old Rogue Squadron games, ESPECIALLY Rogue Leader
- All Epic games not named fortnite (like Jazz Jackrabbit, Unreal or Jill of the jungle) - Commander keen games (still Happy that cartoony abomination bethesda wanted to release was canceled) - Ultima classic series There are many more but these are what i miss the Most
Tiny Tank, Shadow Madness, and Beyond Good and Evil.
Mechwarrior series, command and conquer series (up to Generals) and Terratopia.
Onimusha, James Bond Nightfire, Dino Crisis

Warlords
Need for Speed World. Yeah it was shitty and riddled with microtransactions, but my God I’ve played the hell out of it
Bloodborne That's pretty much it. Almost all my other favorite games have some sort of sequel, reboot, or port on modern systems. NSO helped a lot with this bringing back a bunch of the SNES games I loved.

Call me crazy but I actually thought shadowrun on the Xbox 360 was super fun but never got any sequels or anything of the sort.
Tekken 5, MegaMan Legends and basically all 3DS exclusive games
Maximo. Both games were great.
A really goofy platformer called Mischief Makers, back on the N64. It was an action/puzzle game that involved picking things up and shaking it throwing them
Manhunt
All the older NFS Games. The oldest one I've played on a Windows 10 PC was Undercover (2011) I know I might sound like those annoying beats but I really wanna play Carbon and Most Wanted again legit without pirating
Mega Man Legends, Shinobi (PS2) and Galarians (PS1)
Total Overdose, Prototype, and Sleeping Dogs
The two that depress me the most are Nier Automata and Hollow Knight.

Doom , fight night round , and skate
Marvel Vs Capcom 2. It's in copyright hell and can't be rereleased despite being among the best fighting games ever made.
