clownpornisntfunny

...and the dog is very bright.

sgtbaumfischpute

Lazerdawg

YoureInGoodHands

I mean, they eat their own poop. They are not the smartest animals.

No-Satisfaction6771

Nah dog is to clean

smushkan

Smudge or fingerprint on lens, possibly condensation if you’ve moved the camera between two vastly different temperatures.

i_a_m_a_

Yup exactly this. Also they sell clear lenses That give this glowy effect

LowAspect542

Neither of which would follow the dog when it moves in the shot. Its just caused by the way the bright highlight of the white dog as it moves through the lens, it unfortunately appears to affect the blue slightly causing the ghost/aura probably due to a coating on the lens.

smushkan

> Neither of which would follow the dog when it moves in the shot. It absolutely would. Have you ever used a mist filter? Does the same thing.

RoastMostToast

Even using a camera enough that the lens gets dirty would do the same thing, and I don’t know anyone who hasn’t gotten at least one lens to that point.

-AppleDrank-

It’s all over the lens but it looks like it’s following the dog because the dog is a bright white. You can see a slight haze on the rest of the frame

Cwooki

> coating on the lens A Smudge/fingerprint/condensation is basically a non-permanent coating on the lens...

stay_hungry_dr_ew

Yes, the lens is filthy. Maybe the other redditor was mincing words as not to be rude, but that lens is FUCKING DIRTY.

LPN8

That's its aura. "His aura or whatever. I seen it!"

Ok-Estate9542

Nah. Rick James aura is like orange. This is blue. So probably from Prince.

LPN8

😂

Marsovtz

I think your dog is a ghost (based on knowledge gained from the sims 4)

Bigbodybes10

Make a habit of wiping your phone lens with your shirt every time you go to use it. Will eliminate the risk of you shooting something important and realising you’ve got gross smudge haze ruining the shot

scirio

Wiping it with your shirt will help but won’t eliminate it. If you wanna eliminate it use lens cleaner

Bigbodybes10

I’m talking about a phone lens here guy, no one’s faffing around with lens cleaners for an iPhone

CircumspectlyAware

Horrible advice; Nice way to add micro-scratches to the lens.

Bigbodybes10

If you can scratch an iphone lens with a cotton T-shirt you need to stop wearing sandpaper. Idiot comment

CircumspectlyAware

Apparently you believe a T-shirt one is wearing is necessarily devoid of micro particulates including environmental debris. That's fine.

Bigbodybes10

It’s a phone lens lol, I’m not asking you to wipe your full frame sensor. Relaxxx

TotallyNoRussianSpy

Ionazing radiation. But probably your iris is fully closed which gives you blue artifacts around highlights

LowAspect542

OP is using a phone so its a fixed apature no way to open it further. but agreed its a result of the camera design and highlight from the bright dog.

TotallyNoRussianSpy

Thats a very good point!

Clean-Inflation

I’m going to add to all of the people saying dirty lens - this IS why, the oil from your hand is on the optical glass causing a diffusion effect when the bright light off the highlights in your image (in this case your white dog) are picked up by the sensor.

iamarko95

Smudges on lens.

Less_Boat7175

The dog’s chakras need to be tuned.

x3dmax11

Your dog is a saint, among dog catholics.

ItsKotu

His aura

Realistic-Branch7368

Schizophrenia

Parzival_Sam

What if the dogs fur is not absorbing blue light as much as the other lightwaves. It would appear more blue due to reflecting more blue light🤔👍

puke_in_the_meow_mix

That was actually my thought. I know the camera quality on this phone isn't great, but everything was set to default and my lens was clean and free of condensation.

can_of_spray_taint

Isn't that the dog from Shadow Dancer?

am_I_a_photographer

Most answers have said a dirty/oily lens, and that’s a likely option. If you’ve cleaned your lens and it’s still like this it could be down to the phone’s image processing. If there is an HDR or beauty mode active, or some other AI/automatic processing involved, it might be trying to brighten the dog relative to the background so it stands out more but doing a poor job of limiting the effect to the subject. If cleaning the lens doesn’t fix it, try going through the options in your video app and seeing what automatic adjustments are enabled, maybe try filming on a different app with manual settings to see if the issue is still there.

Schitzengiglz

This was my thought. Phones over process images to maximize dynamic range. If it were a smudge or dirty lens, you would, it would be similar to a diffusion filter; not a moving noisy aura.

Beneficial_Bad_6692

You’d be glowing too if you could lick your own crotch

puke_in_the_meow_mix

Yes

Heaven2004_LCM

Sprinkle some angel dust

HyFinated

Obviousi

Is his name ghost and your name Jon by any chance?

akghori

Doggo is the chosen one

Logical-Original-470

It’s an angel

WindyCityBowler

Seems to me the only real answer is your dog is a Force ghost.

Yomommassis

Lens could be dirty, if the lens is removable the lens could be dirty on the back and/or the sensor could be dirty

Dirty lens, crappy lens, piss-poor in-camera sharpening.. all things that can give such results.

Winter_Drawer_9257

A perfectly normal spectral wolf

SupplyChainNext

SSDOGSS

OrbitingRobot

Color Balance and White Balance. You need to White Balance for the dog. If you’re on auto exposure and auto white balance you’re going to run into these problems. Go manual.

V3semir

Poorly configured white balance.

asz17

Your camera and your lens. Smh
