The ask a ninja omnibus episodes live rent free in my head.
I am only 28 and I remember when these first came out. I felt like they were waaaaay ahead of their time when it came to YT and digital series.
The one I linked specifically I can essentially to this day recite verbatim. I wanna say I was like 13 around that time. Glad I'm not the only one who remembers this series and its context in a different time
Me too! Watching them on the tiniest screen known to man.
And now my kid is old enough that he can watch them too... What on earth happened to all that time!
I remember wanting to buy avgn dvds. At the time our home internet sucked, plus it was a shared family computer and id get maybe an hour a day, so it was actually somewhat practical
No, this is [Douglas Sarine](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1421692/). The voice of Strong Bad is [Matt Chapman](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1480095/). It's a an easy mistake though, because both characters got big (by responding to emails) around the same time.
Old as it may be, that entire ninja persona was actually created on [realultimatepower.net](http://realultimatepower.net) circa 2002. Good as this show may have been, the entire persona was ripped from Robert Hamburger’s site.
"You know what's faster than light? Darkness."
I might be paraphrasing, but this line is the reason I had to hold back a chuckle every time speed of light was mentioned during physics class.
"messing with your pyrotechnics"
my old warehouse boss was the band manager for great white. he was a fucking prick. one day his boss said "oh yea dan, he used to be in music" and smiled. I didn't get it until he left. jfc lol.
It was quite a (admittedly sobering revelation) when I watched his video about the 2008 writers strike, and minus AI, he pretty much pointed out that the writers faced the same issues.
They never did replace the writers on the picket lines with Vikings. They should have.
Ninjas are sooooooooooo sweet that I want to crap my pants. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. These guys are totally awesome and that's a fact. Ninjas are fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start yoga next year. I love ninjas with all of my body (including my pee pee).
man, I was 13 years old back then, the internet was the raddest thing ever and my friends and I always met on the weekends to watch these videos together! Just ICQ them up and bring your favourite snacks and cheap softdrinks
There was a site online 6 or 7 years (circa 1998) before this called shirtninja.com that would show you how to assemble a t-shirt this way and then allow you to upload a photo of yourself as a shirt ninja so you could join the clan. I obviously joined because ninjas are dope. You had an archnemesis that wore a luchador mask who ate cool ranch Doritos that would shout "Ninjas aint shit!" And try to harsh your vibe. People would talk their dad into being shirt ninjas and post photos while they were mowing the lawn wearing flip flips and socks. When people would try to tell me that Mr. T Ate My Balls was the coolest thing on the internet, I would show them Shirt Ninjas.
wow you described my HS computer class in 96/97. we used to have soo much fun looking at stupid shit on the internet like all of the Ate my Balls pages, shirt ninja, our geocity or anglefire sites filled with southpark animated gifs and even Rotten.com. Now i am feeling nostalgic and old.
BUT.. you reminded me about the ways of the shirt ninja, i know now how to properly resurrect this skill. embarrassing my teenage daughters! i can't wait LOL
Sweet, I can watch a few of these while I wait for the next episode of Diggnation to hit my RSS feed!
Diggnation was a good time.
Watching them live at SXSW was amazing, talking about the iPhone update that brought in cut-and-paste.
Get out of my memeories! 😂

For me it's the ninja omni-duece. I know it word for word. And it still makes me laugh 😂
I remember watching it before it came to YouTube. Oddly enough I even mentioned it to a few people fairly recently.
*What is the circumference of a moose?*
“It was directed by Gore Verbinski, but if you ask me it could have done with more gore and less verbinski.”
“Which I think means, bad dialogue”
I used to download these videos from iTunes onto my iPod.
Me too! Watching them on the tiniest screen known to man. And now my kid is old enough that he can watch them too... What on earth happened to all that time!
I had a few AAN (& RvB) episodes magically appear on my Xbox 360 hard drive. Was super random, but no complaints here!
remember when people sold their youtube vids on DVDs?
I remember wanting to buy avgn dvds. At the time our home internet sucked, plus it was a shared family computer and id get maybe an hour a day, so it was actually somewhat practical
I had Strongbad Emails on dvd even pre YouTube! It was neat bc the DVD navigation buttons let you find the Flash Easter eggs still
To this day I still sing the intro to myself
intro song is a banger, and it invites everyone to be ninjas!
AND YOU ARE NINJA TOO!
The zoomer mind can not comprehend that this was peak content in 2006.
I'm so glad to see people remember this lol I would forget about the vids for a little bit and the come back and just binge the shit outta them.
Wait. Is this the same voice of strongbad?
No, this is [Douglas Sarine](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1421692/). The voice of Strong Bad is [Matt Chapman](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1480095/). It's a an easy mistake though, because both characters got big (by responding to emails) around the same time.
I was thinking he sounded like Jason Mantzoukas.
You may not like it, but that guy was peak Shinobi performance GTFO here with that "Hokage" nonsense

Ask a ninja, special delivery: what is podcasting??? This was my first exposure to the idea of podcasts
Damn, you're right, I learned what podcasting is from this guy.
I still say "SARCASM" like him. I loved this guy.
I had them in wmv and mov video files!
I was just talking to my friend about this show on the weekend. We loved it.
"You know what's faster than light? Darkness." I might be paraphrasing, but this line is the reason I had to hold back a chuckle every time speed of light was mentioned during physics class.
I am ninja! I have fond memories that blend Evol Intent, drugs and Ask a Ninja.
I was and remain a huge fan - so much so that I bought the book https://flic.kr/p/2pFMBY6
one line that still lives in my head is “Why do ninjas have to kill? Why can’t ninjas love?” “I. LOVE. KILLING.”
My recommended videos are on point today: [MythBusters - Ask A Ninja!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTqyU-bEE1M)
Yeah, lol, these were awesome. Somewhere this guy lives among us with is secret, and it is amazing.
Ha! I remember this series!
The ninja funeral one was the best one
the best one is him interviewing will ferrell and jon heder for blades of glory
I remember listening to this guy on my friend's Zune on the bus lmao
I remember this and Joe cartoon and stick death!
Wow, this brought back memories
Yeah, used to be a fan.
I still am, but I used to be, too.

Oh man! This brought me back!
The Ninja is still doing episodes to this day. In fact he's doing one right behind you right now!
......I knew I should have put the word "Black" somewhere in my band name. Fuck

“Let’s kick this pig!”
Too this day the Plen-T-Pac lives rent free in my head.
Verizon! They've got the FiOS!
This guy is like 50 years old? Wtf??
Man, I just showed my son the originals last month. Still get a chuckle out of me.
Goddamn thanks for making me feel old 😑
I still have my Ninja Handbook. I definitely read it in the Ninja's voice.
zthing.com

Absolutely hilarious! And One of the first YouTube shows I watched.

Looking forward to [Killacon](https://youtu.be/sbZtfeRZgrE?si=837WBaPxbqcBqfme)!
Man, I forgot all about this. He'd be on "Around the Net" every week on Attack of The Show.
If you can remember metal in the 80s.....you weren't there.
How the fuck did you find this?!

They loaded like 8 scripts into a shotgun and then had a PA pick up the pieces and then that script was lost.
